My problem has gotten worse now. so as i started the car cold and it started to run rough/wrx note for a few seconds and misfire abit as I went for a short drive warmed it up and then pushed a bit of throttle and all good until I came to a stop and the idle started hunting between 800rpm- 1300rmp so decided to drive to go home and would not go past 2500rm and would hesitate and the exhaust note was brrrrrrrrr brrrrrrr and just wouldn't go past 2500rmp. Got home and turned it off and checked for any leaks and nothing. so started it again and just hunting betwwen that rpm range I said before. I did unplug my afm while on idle and turned off but took awhile to turn off like 5 seconds. thinking it might be my z32 afm. would a afm do that if it was faulty those symtoms? as I got it with the car this z32 afm but don't wanna buy new one and it isn't the problem.

Yea it does smell like fuel bad but only when its running like unplugging 2 coil packs but sounds different to unplugging coil packs. Got it dyno tuned by trent for me and everything perfect and all but had a little hesitation when cold driving it so took it back to give it a bit more fuel for cold start and driving and this started to happen the following day. fuel was fine and spark all good. I guess I can rule out afm,fuel pump and injectors as I think if it was afm or fuel pump it would just either die or not start which has never happened. sorry about the spelling on the before msg as was using mobile phone.

Hi guys, Have a small problem with starting up after leaving the car for few hours or when cold. just started to happen recently. when I go to start up car when its cold it will sometimes just idle and usually does hold idle ok but sounds like a wrx till it hits around 60/70 temp on my power fc then it will smoothen out and clear up and runs fine. today it started up fine went around then done it on cold like on 5 cylinders it sounded it was running on and then a minute later or so cleared up and back perfect again and once on normal running temp never has a problem at all can start 100 times and will be fine. ive got new coil packs/spark plugs/fuel filter thought maybe blocked injector havent cleaned the aac valve yet and probably try and clean the afm again after a few month but doubt the afm would do that. Only does it either first starting up and sometimes in between low and high temp,just before it hits the normal temp and then it will never do it again. maybe water temp sensor/ecu any help would be great as kinda stuck for now and hate when it does it until warms up.

Hi guys, I have a R33 rb25det series 1 Car is making close to 300rwk pump 98 Mods are,powerfc,850cc injectors, upgraded fuel pump, hypergear turbo ect.. Car is on 19 psi boost level and tuned at status I have a bad hesitation and misfire at wot. ill do my best to describe the problem. As soon as I accelerate to full throttle and gear change/putting gears together from 1st to 2nd or even between shifting 2nd to 3rd it will hesitate and miss fire between 5000/6000 pull u foward and then clear up away it goes all the way to redline When I just go full throttle in the one gear either 1st ,2nd or 3rd gear without putting gears together theres no problem, just clean smooth all the ways through to redline. If the car gets wheel spin while shifting hard between 1st to 2nd gear it will do it slighty but when it doesn't get wheel spin it just pulls you forward/hesitates and misfires and just clears up after 6000rpm all the way to redline. Spark plugs are bcpr7es pre gapped .8 Yj coil packs but picked them up second hand and 2 serial numbers on the coil packs are the same and the other 4 serial numbers are all the same so makes me think they have been changed and they should be all the same serial numbers so could be dodgy coil packs sold to me as Ive had them for 18 month now. It has been doing it to me from a lot of turbos/set ups ive had on the car but I have noticed even when I had a old ebay turbo on as well 6month ago or so it would do it at high boost but as soon as i went to around 12/13 psi perfect can shift hard between gear and perfect no hesitation or misfire so not sure if its my coilpacks or plugs maybe to cold or gapping to .65/.7mm will help and maybe blowing out the spark between gear shifting at wot. Will be getting brand new splitfires in the next few weeks but just wanted to ask and see if anyone has seen/heard of a similar thing with there rb25det. Any help would be great.

Hey guys, Just a quick question have a rb25det stock v2 turbo and at the front insde the blade it has a yellow pen mark. What does that mean? hiflowed,rebuilt? or just how they are like from wreckers or something...

Yes it runs heaps better. The idle seems to run around 200rpm rpm higher now after exhaust was put on so could to with an adjustment but as for black smoke nothing like before ,puff puff puff on start up. Had a read on here some ppl saying when clearing defects with there moded 33,s there car runs and goes like crap with the stock exhaust.

The injectors wernt removed but noticed as soon as i took that crap stock exhaust system off it ran 100 times better with my 3inch and less smokey as the tune before that i had with my power fc was made for all aftermarket mods and since putting the exhaust and pod filter back on performance is way smoother and less smokey so most likley the tune is the problem.....

only three things have been changed,the plenum,stock bov from aftermarket one which is plum back style i had on before and the intercooler pipe throttle body side,thats it. not to sure if the PFC has post-start enrichment.Full throttle is good but just down low is a lil rough sometimes but the start up everytime is terrible just black and black and clears up after awhile. maybe someone can tell me some step adjustments on the power FC for what to do for the start up??

Hey guys, Having a problem with my R33 series 1 running rich for for 30 secs to a minute every time i start it wether its cold or hot/normal temp. Ill try give as much detail as possible car has stock air box,stock exhaust,power fc,550cc injectors,,FMIC,Z32,YJ coilpacks and new set of plugs bcpr6es gap .8 and also tryed bosh platnums 1.1 and stock boost now. first off i had this car with facefoward plenum and was running sweet with all the stuff above mentioned done but got defected so went back to all stock intake plenum/runners/bov and emissions which was the only thing put back on. Everytime now i start it just black smoke all the time no matter wat temp its on and does it for awhile then clears up. mechanic checked fuel pressure/FPR all great perfect...afm been cleaned,panel filter cleaned plugs new,coil packs good but still this happens. also cleaned aac valve which helped with the hunting up and down. Thought maybe leaky injector but all these things mentioned was not doing at all with them on with the face foward greddy type plenum. Mechanic said could be that plenum holes smaller now and has afected its air fuel mixture and making it run rich but its not running all the time rich just as i have said. What u guys think,might need a tune or something else,any help would be great.
