Interested in an Intense turbo and am running Itsrom ECU atm. I am getting just over 17psi atm (according to an autobarn gauge) using Scottys dump and front pipe and a Nur tailpipe. The car is vastly improved by Itsrom and has standard intake currently. Was thinking about Scottys Intake or an AMP one and wondered how you got on with yours? People talk about fuel cut and I figure the Intense and an intake is going to get there. You did not mention this so I was wondering what you did ... Thanks

Matt I just put an Itsrom chip in my fairly standard car and am impressed. I don't know this, but if the timing is controlled by the ECU perhaps Christian can flash you an ECU which addresses the issues of silly timing in lower gears, 1st gear wheelspin etc? He is very helpful in my experience. Forgive me if this seems stupid but if the issue is the ECU ... addressing the issue there seems to make sense ... assuming Christian can do that...

leigh308 replied to Fishingfreak's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I have a horrid grinding noise front right hand side ... and when I brake hard I get a clunk from the same area ... could not find shaun hayes on facebook (facepalms!) assuming a replacement shaft is the easiest way to go... Any ideas people? Part nos for USA ebay etc. Any help greatly appreciated, Leigh -

What Have You Done To Your Stagea Lately?
leigh308 replied to Hanso's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
OK Thanks for the offer Leon and all the great help, assistance and advice you have given me so far. I love my sound system/media system. The cruise is absolutely necessary and even the wheel switches started lighting up since we did the slimline fan in the FMIC install! Go figure! As it gets quicker it gets harder to set the cruise to avoid it hunting but that's expected at some level as the turbo spools. Just went down town through a 50 zone and watched the car burble up a rise at 900 rpm/50 kph in top gear! Gotta love that... When I said that I wanted to try before I buy ... I meant experience what other turbos respond like, not necessarily from a drivers seat. A seat of pants from a back seat where I can see the rpm, roadspeed and feel the response should give me a clear idea if it is too laggy for my taste. This car will never be raced, if it does go down a drag strip that will be the exception rather than the rule. The problem is trying to find the balance between driveability and power. As I do not want an extreme car some of the more prominent peoples experience is irrelevant. It is probably true that the people I really want to connect to do not post overly much. So if you are out there and have a moderate highflow and induction solution with great driveability and reasonable performance at a realistic price please respond! My standard turbo is OK atm so I am not under any pressure at this time. -

Got the HDI FMIC on yesterday, not too bad. I need to sort some broken/ missing/ torn out undertray bolts asap. I have the NUR catback exhaust and Scotty's dump and front pipe on it already. I think the next thing is Dales induction tube and a high flow turbo. But which one ? What I want is a quick road car not a race car I can nurse around the street, and the numbers are less important than the feel and driveability. But I'd love to try before I buy. I have the kits that Commsman uses to tweak the computer but haven't had a chance to solder them up. (Before anyone jumps on this I have been working overseas from 2/12/12 till yesterday.) (And I have not had the car tuned yet. ) -
Blue M35 - Wrecking
leigh308 replied to scotty nm35's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi Scotty Finally got the exhaust in the other week and have been enjoying it immensely, but sensibly so (not around Plod). Now I have a rear sway bar that ratlles madly ... the drop links are shot. What has this got in the way of a sway bar? And how much to the same address please? Thanks. -

So I thought 'HERE' looked promising.... but I cannot access this You are not authorised to read this forum -
So I really wish I had found this page before I bought the cheap ELM327. It works well in my mates Subaru but as noted above, not at all in my Stagea. I wrote a careful explanation to the Chinese ebay vendor this morning... and with inscrutable oriental wisdom and a fake western girls name they wrote back that they had sent me another equally useless unit... if anyone wants a cheap one... I like Torque and its features ... and I like cheap electronic units... and I hate companies that pervert standards... But I am talking to HKS and ECUtalk to try another approach. OB-link looks more like what I want ... cannot imagine the little woman holding the laptop somehow....

OK, no steak knives please ... I am a vegetarian! But I do have a relatively standard 2001 stagea and my Galaxy series 2 phone takes good pics so I am interested. Also as a noob who took a long time to do the brake wire cut simply because I couldn't find pics I think its important to have good visual guides up here. Yeah Yeah I didn't take the pics either... next time I have the glove box out and on the back seat I will do a step by step on the 'brake wire snip' for new noobs. If you don't send me steak knives and do talk me through it, I'll do the same for this.

That's A Nice Looking Volvo Mate.......
leigh308 replied to Paramour's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
5 cylinder 2.5 l and a sedan body looks like it was clay modeled using cardboard boxes in the design phase! No badges so cannot tell you off the top of my head. He has a V70 which he tows the race car to meets with. I had a silver magna wagon previous to the silver stag, and have also had a friend who isn't into cars much exclaim "Whatja do to your car !???" I told him I put it on a diet which made it smaller but helped it run harder... -

So I have had the stag for a while now and my mechanic is into Volvos ... I mean seriously so ... has a V70 drifter with a huge turbo. I gave him a drive and now he wants one. But today my wife gets a phone call from a friend. I work for a charity and we move large sums of money into Asia as part of my job. My wife's friend, who knows this, is concerned. "How can Leigh afford a Volvo like that?" See how having 207KW and awd launch corrupts one? roflmao.
