  1. I kind of don't agree. See you can hit someone hard enough to scare the shit out of them, without beating the shit out of them. Then they learn their lesson. If that had been me i would have pinned one of them down and got his wallet to find his home address. I'd give the wallet back and then say, "right, i know your name and where you live. if ANTHING else happens to my car you'll either have police or 3 big blokes knocking on your door." I doubt you'd get any trouble then.
  2. No problem
  3. This guy thinks his ride is "pretty f*ckin tight". OMG
  4. Yes i am 20, yes i'm from the UK. Wow, you really got me there. What does my age have to do with it? I'm in my final year at uni and completely self dependent. I'm hardly what you'd call a 'kid'. Granted i didn't know that skyline was one of the most famous in Australia, i didn't even know where it was from. As far as i'm concerned somebody posted some dyno results and i thought i'd add to the thread by adding that video - after all it was another skyline on another dyno. You didn't need to flame me for it. Imagine you posted something interesting in a forum where you hardly know anyone and all of a sudden people are saying, "why the hell did you post that?" You'd be a little peeved and a little embarrassed. You're right, i didn't notice before but it is a very dark blue. Still, my point remains. I don't see how people were getting confused between "the skyline in the pics" and "the skyline in the vid", or "the dark skyline" and "the white skyline". Anyways, i'm not here to make enemies. Maybe i was out of order, maybe they were out of order. It's just a stupid argument at the end of the day. Nothing more to say.
  5. I hope you did mate. Some kids tried to nick my run-around by getting their fingers in the door frame (poor design) and pulling outwards. Luckily the lock held and they couldn't get in. I swear if i'd caught them i would have broken their hands.
  6. Erm... perhaps because i thought the video was pretty ****in impressive? Perhaps i wanted to contribute to the thread? Perhaps because it was a similar subject - one skyline on a dyno shown on a graph, and another skyline on a dyno in a video. Perhaps i didn't know you'd all seen "Mario's" skyline before? You guys should really lighten up. I'm talking about Morgs and Merli here. If you don't want me to post links to interesting videos then just say. I wasn't by any means trying to confuse people - the fact of the matter is if you can get confused between a black skyline and a white one you must be pretty dumb.
  7. Check out this Skyline. It almost comes off the rollers.
  8. It's the same with any performance car mate. With my dad's Ultima GTR it used to worry him because he'd over take kids in xr3is and other cheap 150+bhp cars and they'd try to keep up with him round the corners and stuff. My dad was worried that those types of people are the ones that end up killing other people due to their bad driving. It was funny one time when he was on a motorway and he came up behind an Aston Martin DB7, so the DB7 went for it accelerating up to top speed as quickly as possible, so my dad stayed with him, the DB7 hit top speed and pulled into the next lane and my dad went sailing past him. At least the DB7 flashed his lights in acknowledgement.
  9. I pulled alongside an Evo 6 one time in my Fiesta and thought i'd try to beat him off the lights for a laugh. I nodded at him, lights turned and i did the best start i've ever done. Then he must have done the earliest, slowest shift ever because i started to get away from him, then we reached 60 and kept it there. I couldn't believe it! His girlfriend sat next to him was scowling the whole time as i moved into his lane after the drag. Maybe it was because i won, maybe it was because he had raced, i don't know. I know that any fool in an Evo can beat a Fiesta so the guy probably wasn't too bothered about racing me.
  10. I was driving my crap fiesta to an R.A.F base i'd never been to at about 6.30am a few years back. Anyways, it was foggy and i was doing about 80mph down the motorway when i saw the odd looking sign for the base turning left... .............|....| _______/......| _______...... | ............. Ignore the dots. ............ ....| .............|....| .............|....| .............|....| ..............|...| ..............|...| ...so i get onto the slip road and decelerate when all of a sudden out of the fog i see the f*ck off right-angle bend going to my left about 20 metres ahead. See the actual motorway goes round a left-hand bend when you get on the slip road anyway, so it's hard to realise how quickly you need to decelerate. Anyways, my car is by no means a performance car but after that incident i gave it a lot more respect. I saw the bend (which had a crossed safety zone on it), pumped the brakes until the front end got really heavy, then as i entered the bend i relaxed the brake so i still had loads of grip on the front tires and the car sailed round. It put the sh1ts up me and when i see the bend nowadays i still wonder how i got the car round it. Anyways, just goes to show you don't need fancy electronics to make your car corner well, although i'm sure it must be nice to have!!!
  11. You're very lucky mate. I know of a guy over here in the UK who spent about 2 years doing up a Rover 220 GTI. The car standard isn't all that nice, but he put a lot of work into it and it looked great. Then some joy-riders stole it, dumped it and burned it. No respect whatsoever.
  12. My dad built a kit car a few years back. He put a 6.3l V8 Chevvy in there so it was an immense sounding engine. People didn't really say much when he passed them, but those who didn't shit themselves when he revved the engine just stared in wonder at what it was! One time, he was filling up and a guy ran over saying "Oh my god! That's an Ultima GTR!!! I saw one on Top Gear!".. My dad ended up taking the guy up the motorway in it for a few miles when the man's phone went off.... ..."Hi honey, I can't hear you but you'll never guess what... i'm in an ultima gtr! LISTEN" ...and the guy actually put his phone up against the engine bay!!!!!!!! Another time my dad was coming up to some traffic lights and stopped in the queue just as a woman on a bike was going alongside. He revved the engine and she was so shocked she fell off!! That car was a lot of fun. 450bhp naturally aspirated, 0-60 in 3.6 seconds.
  13. Hi guys, i'm new to the forum. This place was recommended to me by the importforums guys because i'm really interested in getting a Skyline. There aren't many skyline clubs or forums in the UK which is why i'm posting here, so like it or lump it, you've got a pom(?) amongst you! Anyways, no offences intended. I'd really like to learn more about the R33 GTS-T and what you can do with the engine. I read that the skyline engines were designed to withstand 400bhp in everyday use, so how feasible is it to get a GTS-T engine tuned to around 400bhp? Also, i'm looking for general information about the car. What is fuel consumption like? Does the RWD still handle well? Are the parts expensive? How often do you need to service them? Thanks in advance xaero1
