Thanks guys, maybe i'm just not used to the bigger gearbox. Only had small cars before this and haven't really driven alot of medium size manual cars but sometimes it does seem almost impossible not to get that crunch unless I slow down my shifts.
I have a 96 GTS-T S2 and when changing gears quickly into fifth (and sometimes third) while the engine is at over 5000 rpm there is almost always a crunching sound. I have driven many cars and never had problems with crunching gears when shifting quickly so I don't believe I am the problem.
Is this an indication that a previous owner has thrashed the gearbox?
What can be done to fix this problem?
