  1. Also Sin I see what you did there
  2. SAU ACT wooooooooo Rosie without you darling I would have crumbled. You're the comp in my compression You're the fuel in my fuel system You're the spark in my spark plug Xoxo Gossip Girl
  3. I think I'll replace the igniter anyways due to the crack/small hole on the top of it. But again thanks everyone for the help
  4. Lol I need to get myself some fuses Because right now my blinkers don't work because I dropped a fuse last night. I don't have the leakdown tester only the comp tester but I will get that checked very soon by a workshop
  5. haha those little farkers
  6. Thanks to everyone for all the help over the past few days!! I really really really can't thank you all enough! Glad this didn't make it to page 10 Long live the RB! And yes a warm/hot test will be a good comparison because it can be lower when cold right?
  7. LONG LIVE THE RB! So I had a few of the locals come around tonight. Shout out to "Stinky Poo, Sinister & Wilderboy" They brought along a jump starter and we decided to do another comp test with a starter pack giving it power. Cyl 1 = 95 Cyl 2 = 90 Cyl 3 = 80 Cyl 4 = 105 Cyl 5 = 95 Cyl 6 = 100 Sat around and pondered the idea about costs doing an engine swap or just giving up on the dream But Stinky Poo (Don't want to f**k up the spelling to your real name) Decided he wanted to put it back together and give it one more chance. We put everything back in and back together and the farken bitch started first go! Didn't even miss a beat! Right now I'm left scratching my head as to why the compression is still so low (could it be possibly the tester itself?) and left wondering why the car just decided to start again for no reason. Leaves me worried I'm going to get stranded somewhere I don't want to be. My next step is maybe take it to a workshop for them to triple check everything.

  9. I know haha but it makes it super hard when I start work at 9:00 and finish at 5:30 Without a car I'm pretty screwed even trying to organise anything such as that
  10. Where is the VCT fuse found?
  11. I have some really funny posts on there. But yeah it's full of fully hectic kunts. It's super annoying when they just post a picture from a stupid angle and no text. Then just write OFFER (No stupid offers though)
  12. Yeah so I can't swap out an ECU which is a bit of a pain because its a nistune R32 ECU. Using the Window switch (Not the jaycar one) its the proper window switch. Checked that last night and it seems fine. Rob pulled out the ecu and re connected just to be sure. Yeah I will re run the test tonight hopefully ( is it okay to use a jump start pack thing?) If it's easy to pull the cover off then I will check that as well. Hopefully stinky has time to stand in the dark and cold with me and try a CAS or maybe even see something I am not noticing.
  13. Can anyone shed some light on what the next steps should be? I was thinking -hook up jumper leads and do another test. -pull off the timing cover and check the belt Then if stinky comes around this week. -Try a new VCT unit just in case if he has one. Anything else?
  14. Haha some of the shit that post is just stupid One guy posted a picture of a gear stick and some rims with make an offer..turns out he was selling a full car
  15. Not worried about the cost of a new engine. More worried about the labour costs to pull out and fit a new engine.
  16. Everyone seems to think the engine could still possibly be okay. I always fear the worst in these situations. I'll take the cover off tonight if its easy enough to get to. Should only be a few bolts right?
  17. Haven't done it at all Owned the car for 45,000km And I'm not sure when the previous guy did it. I guess I should have checked it and done it when I first purchased the car. As you know I have had both power steering and fan belt snap.
  18. Still trying to work out. The car was driving fine Friday. Started it up Monday morning and it had a rough idle, gave it a little rev (2k) and it stalled
  19. Timing belt has not been changed since I have owned it. And I have had it for about 45,000km Not sure when it was previously changed What would happen if that was to break? Does it still do huge damage at idle when something like that happens?
  20. Where is the VCT fuse found?
  21. Thanks again guys Okay so I'll try a re test tonight and do it with open throttle. Also stinky if you are free this afternoon that would be great if you could swing by with some r33 parts and jumper leads? If not I could borrow a car possibly and come borrow parts off people Already got a tool box off Bryce and comp tester off Verms haha
  22. I think we have to admit it couldn't throw results that bad. To go from something like 160 to 25 is a massive drop. Then for the cylinder tested after that to be 90 just wouldn't make sense. Also we tried to jump start it and it wouldn't start so the battery is not the problem haha.
  23. Haha I love trolling those guys Chris.
