  1. its easy. just make sure you mark the crank angle sensor before removing it. make sure you line up all timing mark BEFORE removing the blelt. Do a search for instructions.
  2. An oil/air separator connects to your cam covers.... In the case of a SKYLINE it is fed back to the intake, there is only a small amount which is plumbed into the plenum via pcv valve. Correction... addition what ever, bite me.
  3. i get them trade price from coventry's here in wa
  4. could be fuel related, but starvation would cause detonation. Get your timing checked, i found my 33 felt flat around 5000rpm. advanced the timing a little and made a huge difference.
  5. I can get iridiums for about $16 ea....... There wont be much gain from platinum to iridium. The main fact is that they are a longer lasting plug. Standard copper plugs "wear out" I haven't noticed any significant difference in performance in my gtst.
  6. double check which pin you are trying to tap into. I have checked my file and pin 7 is correct. It should work. If you need a diagram email me [email protected]
  7. Plugs- just ask for ones to fit an R32 gtr (all stores have a listing for them) Leads- there are none! Oil filter- Z134a (I think) Just ask for one to fit a VL commodore with Rb30 eng (they are the same) Fuel Filter- Z200
  8. depends whether it is a stock mitsubishi unit or a trust unit. As far as I know, both are plain bearing turbo's that flow relatively well. Of course the Trust item would be far more developed
  9. Correction to all. An oil/air separator simply allows your engine crankcase to "breathe" and separate oil from air before returning it to the intake. With the parts moving inside the engine (pistons up and down) there can be a marginal amount of air displacement. This air has to come and go from somewhere.... in standard form, there is a provision made, but can feed oily air back in to the intake. By fitting an oil/air separator, it allows the oil to be removed from the air before returning back to the intake. It also reduces crankcase compression that is caused by the displacement of air and blowby caused by worn pistons/rings
  10. a message for bully if anybody sees him here. let him know that the bunbury crew wont be comin up for the cruise, all been slugged with killer bills and work. Cya next cruise
  11. email me for a pic [email protected] its a 60mm black face white writing mechanical guage in top cond. want to sell to upgrade
  12. try unique auto sports I think they're bout $340 tho
  13. I have an hks black face guage for sale.
  14. you can set it up for plumb back as is.
  15. I have acces to the gear to play with my turbo from my 33. Was wondering if i'd be wasting my time fitting a vg30 compressor wheel to it. still keeping the original exhaust wheel.
  16. i have one fitted to my 33. setup to atmosphere. great sound and good tune-ability for sound. you will need to get an adapter. I made one and welded it to the cooler pipes near the airbox. plumback is an option, but prefer to hear it loud and clear. very similar sounding to the talon from fast and furious (the green one) Free plug and BUMP
  17. have heard they are good and easy to fit. just hook up to ig power, earth and the white wire from th oxy sensor.
  18. its not related to climate control or air vents in any way. its a ticking noise that comes and goes. it goes away when i use my indicators. it sounds like the flasher relay ticking.
  19. i get flamage!!!!!
  20. its not the a/c vents doing it. its definitely a tick sound, not the a/c vent sound.
  21. surge is often caused by a tight bov, but usually happens when you lift off the gas. the other problem maybe how the wastegate is plumbed up. I have a similar problem in my 33 gtst. If the wastegates are connected to the plenum, they will cause this surge problem, yet when hooked up the the i/c pipes on the turbo side of the i/c they are ok. double check where the wastegate actuaor lines are connected.
  22. an insurance company wouldnt cover you if you crashed at that speed either. probably coz you'd be dead. but i seriously doubt that any insurance company would go to that extent to prove that it was unroad worthy
  23. my 33 makes a clicking noise while driving. i think its the flasher unit, coz it goes away when the indicators are on. Any ideas????
  24. just cut the wire and fit a switch where you have cut it.
  25. if you can find a wiring diagram of the computer, its wire number 53!! The speed limiter is soft, and it appears more closer to 195kph on the speedo. The stock speedo is way out when going that fast. I have checked it against my RSM. A switch is the way to go, but not essential. I have had mine up to 240kph so far now...... open road
