  1. you can plumb it into the bov line. The RB25s connect to the i/c piping

  5. It sounds like a mechanical LSD, thus the clicking then the scuffing of the tyres. Either a Cusco, or Tomie is most likely. To replace it would require remove the diff centre and fitting the stock LSD back in. The easiest way would be to reomive the complete diff, that way you wont need to "open" it, just straight swap. I'd anticipate it to take an hour to remove and the same to fit. If you were in WA I'd offer to swap yours for mine and I'd fit it for you. Drive-in, drive-out.
  6. You could start it, make the oil change quicker, or do it on a hot day. The idea of starting it is to warm the oil up so it flows quicker
  7. Take it to your local engineering shop and get one made up. might cost around $50-$60 Or for around $100 they could make a complete adapter to bolt it straight on factory position.

  14. When using the sandpaper on aluminium, use crc or kerosene, it will lubricate the paper giving a better finish. Then polish sanded surface with autosol, meguiars aluminium polish, or similar. Only use the sandpaper on rough surfaces. some surfaces will polish up with just autosol or similar. If the surface is really rough, get a coarser grade sandpaper and still use crc or kero, then work up to the finer grades.
  15. Recommmend doin the timing belt at the same time coz it'll have to come off anyway timing belt part no. 13028-20P25 Water pump 21010-21U26 If you want a "how to" just pm me
  16. I recommend the front pipe. I fitted one cost $400 to buy The separate wastegate pipe has been dyno proven to give a little more top end. Value for money over the dump pipe
  17. you will have to go all the way to the ecu. its just a security thing, senses if the car starts moving while timing down, it will shut off the engine. Prevent people stealing it while timing down
  18. i've used tooth paste, its a super fine grade polish. then a bit of wax after.... just like new
  19. yeah that would be bad contact on the back. I was actuallly missing the holders aswell. The climate control is easy to get out. remove the ash tray 2 screws behind that remove gear knob and 2 plugs from cigarette lighter and panel will un clip. (easier to get out when in second gear) remove 2 screws from bottom of centre dash panel remove screws from steering column cover (where the key goes in) lower seering wheel and remove cover centre dash panel will unclip be careful not to pull too hard. remove plugs from rear demister, hazard and clock remove plug and hose from small vent thingy (under guages on dash) remove plug from elect mirror control Manouvre dash peice out of the way. remove 2 screws on either side of climate control panel slip out and remove 2 plugs from back and its out the easiest way to remove the lights and holders is by screwdriver, pushing on one of the cut-outs then turn the control panel upside down and shake them out. EASY
  20. Would anybody out there know if the upper section of RB20 inlet plenums are the same as RB25???? The reason I ask is because I am looking into making a top section for my RB25 but dont want it off the road for too long. And I have access to an RB20 one I could copy the flanges from. I plan on retaining all the standard equipment, but simply move the throttle body to the front of the manifold.
  21. Hi guys. Has anyone had any trouble with climate control panel lights not working. (when you turn on headlights etc) I pulled it out and found that the globes were blown, and was too hard to find new ones. I replaced them with globes and holders from an XF Falcon Dash. Just trim a little off the side off the tabs and twist them in!!!! Cheap and easy, can even get new globes!!!! Getting the dash apart is another story tho..... Any q's just email me and I can answer them (I am a mechanic!) [email protected]
  22. Bunbury is in WA, just south of Perth. tlai909: What's your offer?
