  1. Also on this note, it is one of my PET PEEVES seeing for sale ads for R34 GTRs where the owner advertises a 'full z-tune bodykit' just because they have a set of Nismo/replica side skirts and rear pods!! WHAT ABOUT THE FRONT BAR, GUARDS AND HOOD?!?! How are those skirts/pods specific to the z-tune and how does only having those make it a '"full kit"??!? Some GTR owners know very little about GTRs.....
  2. Interestingly that KSR GTR was also up for sale some months ago....
  3. Hey Dim as others have said, the front bars with the 2 'Nissan' style bumps in the front grille are replicas. The original GTR front bar from Nissan has these, though both the Nismo Ver.1 and Nismo Z-tune front bars do not have these. Some replicas (or most actually) of the Nismo Z-tune front bar don't have those bumps and are therefore 'identical' replicas, though others such as those from Bodyform Aero do have those bumps. I know for fact that the entire kit on the KSR GTR was made by Peter at Bodyform Aero. Props to him and his top notch work! - I think with the 2 bumps in the grille it is a more individual look and is a good combination of elements from the standard Nissan bar and the more aggressive styling from the the Nismo Z-tune bar. Also, I run 19 x 10 + 20 with no scrub on full lock and I'm using 275/30R19s. I did however get a bit of touching when I had 275/35s on - my car was sitting quite low before however but once i jacked it up a bit and swapped the tyres I had/have no issues at all (it's now just sitting on 10cm from the ground). In terms of worse handling you're right. It isn't that bad for street use (you've sat in my car so you'd know!!) but its definitely rougher than 18s with more rubber. I regret selling my 18s because now I need another set (this time wider) for the track.
  4. Decent place. Food definitely better than Garage Cafe and seating is probably on par. Came at the end as usual but still enjoyed it
  5. Did anyone organise a group discount? I think I should qualify for one of these on my own
  6. You poor bastard. Honours in biochemical engineering yet applying for manual blue collar work. Slow market for engineering jobs I take it?
  7. LOL
  8. That is sexy!!
  9. what car do you drive Xalmon??
  10. haha then let's help Rass out and call it a date boys (if our cars are up to his standard )!!!!!
  11. Happy to help out. Shoot me a pm
  12. You're all thinking it but I'll be the one to say it. Garage cafe is poo. WORSTT food going around in Melbourne and a driveway that's impractical for a skyline club meet!!!
  13. R35 GTR...its the only way to go. If you're a bit strapped for cash then go an R34 GTR. I hear they're P plate legal in Japan.......
  14. ahhhhh sheyt I read kebab and I was sold......
  15. Aaron there's only been GOR cruise and the Coffee and Cakes cruise. 2 cruises in 5 months. Last time I knew anythng go-karts day and dyno day weren't cruises. HOWEVER, I did mention that various other events were run throughout the year
  16. LOL Compton in Sydney! NICE!!!
  17. Look up Huy. He's selling an immaculate black NUR. ps. there is a 'wanted to buy section'!!
  18. Two things come to mind. The first isn't applicable seeing as you've already stated that the car is stock, and that is - air/fuel ratio problems due to aftermarket atmospheric-venting blow off valves. The second, and this may be a long shot, but your transfer case may be having problems or on it's way out. I drove a GTR (not mine) once which had different size rims front and back (incompetent owner) and it was the weirdest/scariest thing I ever drove. The car would take off fine then the gear stick would jerk back and forward, and even after depressing the clutch and selecting a gear nothing would happen. The car would then stall - turns out he royally f***** his transfer case due to his intelligible wheel selection
  19. LOL SAU Vic doesn't hold too many cruises but we do have monthly garage meets and various other events throughout the year. There are a few other branches of Skyline clubs in Melbourne, usually just started by a bunch of mates like you and your friends. It's much easier that way to organise things and there's no bureaucracy involved (such as having only paid members cruise due to insurance/CAMS issues). I know of a few GTR-only clubs in Melbourne but if you're after something more general, try JDMST. They have quite a few carpark meets and cruises.
  20. What's wrong with yours??
  21. Ok, for anyone that's interested and any admin that can actually make this happen, I've made a flow chart to highlight exactly what I mean. Only problem with this approach is some people not knowing what series/build code there car is. To alleviate this I have included the common names next to each series. To be honest, when I was searching for my current GTR it only made sense that the first place I looked was a forum for GTR/Skyline enthusiasts. Suprisingly though, I found myself siftintg through loads of ads for random mazdas, commodores, family wagons, audis etc. (as there aren't usually many R34 GTRs for sale at any given time I was going back pages) - hardly what you would expect from a motoring enthusiast website dedicated to Nissan Skylines/GTRs.
  22. I meant this idea to be for Private whole cars only, not for Private car parts . E.g.. selling an R34 GTR nur spec, have it listed under the BNR 34 section. Likewise selling an R33 gtst, have it under ECR 33. It would make things a lot easier and more organised. Nothing worse than sifting through piles of ads on cars totally unrelated to Skylines just so you can find the ad for the mint R32 GTR you saw posted a week ago.
  23. I originally put this suggestion in the ideas and feedback section but I dont think anybody saw it. Just thinking seeing as this is a Skyline website for Skyline enthusiasts, it makes sense to have a For Sale section which is broken up into 'Skylines' and 'Other Makes'. Then within 'Skylines' have a breakdown of all the different series (ECR33, BNR34 etc.) It would make searching for cars much easier and efficient, and save people having to sift through all the 'selling the wife's Mazda 121' ads. The GTR owners club UK website has set theirs out in this fashion and it is evidently a lot easier to use and navigate.
  24. If you have a Sharp MFD screen there is only 1 ribbon cable. One end is attached to the back of the Sharp unit while the other is attached to the remainder of the MFD housing/motherboard. It is very delicate and needs to be both handled with extreme care and placed correctly back into the sockets when reassembling the MFD. If you have put it back in and not all the pins of the ribbon cable are in touch with the motherboard/screen, then you will have problems.
