  1. I was just taking a shower and as sometimes happens, a random thought came into my head - 'Skylines Downunder'. I remember this name from way back in the day (circa 1999 - 2001) though can't remember if it was from the old HPI mags or from the internet. Whatever happened to these guys? Are they still around and what's their story?
  2. I have endless Skyline pride but the Ford would munch you......only 1 way to find out for sure I guess
  3. Easiest way is to pull out the old bulb and take it to Autobarn. Don't tell them which car it's for and hope they'll know, you'll almost definitely end up with the wrong bulb....
  4. That amount and condition of rust doesn't look new. I'd say that the majority of it was definitely there before your mechanic jacked the car up!!
  5. V-spec I don't have colour coded engine bays. This was a "luxury" update that was introduced from V-spec II onwards. A quick call to Nissan Japan will confirm this for you......or you can spend hours searching Google
  6. Not factory overspray. The engine bays on v specs should be bone stock black. Before I bought my v spec ii I inspected an "immaculate" B.BLUE v spec and when I looked under the bonnet one side of the bay was black and the other side that was being hidden under one of those mechanics scratch sheets was blue!! Shifty mother f***** But anyways, I checked out maybe another 5 v specs and all their engine bays were clean black
  7. Awesome to see such a strong turnout from SAU! ! SO many jaw dropping R32, 33, 34 and 35 GTRs and a couple of sexy R33 gtsts!!
  8. See you boys at 9.00 .....is anyone else expecting TMU and highway patrol to snap everyone around the corner??
  9. By the use of the word "fregging" and nature of your question, I take it you're still quite young and this is your first turbo car. Welcome! ! You may not have a cat installed.... If everything else appears to be normal this may be your problem.
  10. Sorry my bad, I've dropped off the loop a bit with the exchange rate. Since I was in Japan a few months ago the exchange rate has improved significntly. Still not as high as it was a few years ago when 1 AUD was buying more than 110 yen, (now costing ~10% more not 30% as I'd mentioned when comparing) but at 1 AUD currently buying over 100 yen, it's certainly a good time to import. The last time we saw exchange rates this good was years ago. I retract my previous comments....... until the exchange rate drops again!!
  11. Ye that sounds pretty accurate but keep in mind that the auction STARTING prices range from low 3 mil up to 5 and a half mil (for genuine v spec II 5As). What they usually end up going for is quite a bit more than that (in the case of auctions starting at the lower end). So basically with that budget you could expect something mid range. I'd say 4B with probably just over 100000 genuine km. The exchange rate now is better than it was a year or two ago but is still nothing in comparison to what it was 4-5 years ago. Your best bet is finding a clean one in the country that was imported before the slump in exchange rates which would see you paying now roughly 30% more for the same car than you would back then.
  12. HAHA definitely dreamers. R33 gts-Ts are like Commodores. There's tonnes of them everywhere, they're getting to be really old cars (15-20 years old) and a lot of them are poorly looked after. For this reason YOU have the ability to decide the market price. They're worth peanuts (probably in the range of 3-7k) and anybody who tells you otherwise is probably the owner of a GTST trying to sell it
  13. hmmm don't know where you got that from
  14. Easy as piss mate. No issues to worry about here. Needs a RWC just like any other car you buy locally.
  15. No licence Result of driving back from GOR cruise through Ottway Ranges......but next month I might come and be parked outside (Am not going to even try with the entrance to the garage anymore. It breaks my heart when I hear the diffuser scrape.....maybe someone should bring wooden planks??? I'm not volunteering myself )
  16. 2Js aren't as tuneable as RBs but arguably have stronger internals to make up for it.....end of the day, RB26 is and always will be king
  17. ^^ She must be the engine from the Koenigsegg Agerra R LOL
  18. How do you find the exhaust Adam?? Do your ears blees above 4000 rpm?? Mine do......
  19. ^Smart guy^ There are a few nice R33 GTRs up for sale on the forums and carsales at the moment. Do it! you know you want to!! Do whatever you must to get the funds. Sell a kidney, sell your partner, shave your head and sell the hair to Chinese pillow-stuffing merchants......once you go GTR you dont go back
  20. How many people rocked up this time?? Hope there was a better turnout for the sake of new members getting scared off
  21. For your late night entertainment.......LOL just because this is a Skylines forum and we all love our RBs and have GTR pride!!!!
  22. Ye the tyres were rubbish that's why I gave them away with the rims Dim looks like I'm going to have to go with your setup. There's only so much playing around with the stock brakes you can do - at the end of the day, for any sort of non-street driving, they're simply just sh!t....
  23. WHY HASN'T THIS CAR SOLD YET?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?! AGGGGGGGH!! DAMMIT I WANT IT BUT I ALREADY HAVE A GTR
  24. LOL GTR Joey bought those rims from me last year!! damn they look sexy on R33s. Have they been refinished yet?
