I here'd about weathering/seasoned blocks are better for hp than new block for cast iron - new block will move and flex up until 100,000km Idea is the hot and cold temp stop the cast iron from expanding/ flexing - taxi blocks would be good idea I left the rb30 block outs side for 6 months bare wit the girdle and just befor sent to engine shop I went to cryogenics I believe this theory works , some might disagree crank wouldn't think be any benefits only cost $200 shop in melb -http://www.cryocycle.com.au/ Gerry

I always thought running flat tops means u can run more lift. comp ratio going to be around 7.8 to 8.1 reason that low comp - less pinging high boost , makes more power then high comp - all types of fuel I notice a lot of high comp boost rb have head/studs lifting issues allways prefer low comp high boost/ high comp low boost

how's anyone power ported factory rb26 plenum ?

rb26 gtr nismo plenums, how good are they compare to factory plenum is it worth converting nismo to single throttle body thanks Paco

crank handles more than the block,

all rb + rd diesel + N1 and Tomie blocks are the same as highlighted area on the left pic - series 1 n/a rb30 - written by nipzo block to use. but right pic - series 2 vl block different has stud plates fitted maybe strong or weaker , trying to figure out

both have oil/water feeds but left block doesn't have flat machined tensioner hole .

would any one know where I have highlighted on the pics , why 2 different series rb30 blocks are different ?

400rwkw is high 9 sec pass in a vl, stock cams will make this car streeter drive to track race go home

so how much power rwkw rear will drive can be made wit stock 26 cams - 3l block cam gears and full ported head wit bigger valves , 42r 1.01rear 1000hp i have pair of timei 260/270 10.25mm lift but if stocks can make over 400rwkw ill keep them in, daily driver vl gerry
