  1. i have way to much stuff to read, simple solution is avoid it and post in whoretown!
  2. never even heard of them, do you know where they're located on the gold coast?
  3. police alwas record their conversations unless its not possible for them to reasonably do so. Reason being they had huge problems with confessions and evidence holding up in court, hence the court has stated in many precedent cases that police must when reasonable tape all conversations with an accused, otherwise face the consequences of a possible not guilty decision. Recouping costs from a case like this will be near impossible. Unless there has been some kind of misconduct or the like from the officer. I would like to know what loophole your pursuing that will allow you to recover costs personally, are you going to sue him civily? Because whilst he is a police officer peforming police activities he is acting under the discretion of the QLD police force and any action would be their problem and their cost. The most you can usually do is refer a complaint to the CMC when they (if they think its a bad case) slap him on the wrist. PM me if you dont wish to discuss in an open forum, but im very interested in how your arguing this case. Matt
  4. err, who is rb180 anyway, ry? Who else is going to this humerous dyno day from noosa..i might be in, to watch only cbf wasting money to prove what i already know...my cars not powerful.
  5. Some things COULD be reimbursed, IF he wins. But its unlikely they'll award costs, most you'd get would be maybe legals anyway, they dont take into consideration things like days of work missed and court travel etc.
  6. i totally agree...just telling him how to do it if hes so set on blocking it.
  7. agreed Speed ftw...it was a quality magazine with (most of the time) decent cars from the street and track.
  8. its not as hard as you must think. you pull the ends off at the canister, shove whatever you like down the vaccum line and put it back on. Be careful as there maybe some residue that comes out of the lines.
  9. erm how so? What exactly do you think a wastegate sounds like when you back off, im not talking about when its open on full boost obviously.
  10. exactly the pfc has a base tune that will alow the car to run. but run only, so drive carefully and like craved said watch the knock sensor for high readings. But only install all the things you know how to do properly otherwise you'll run into serious problems half way through and cause more hastle for the person who has to fix what you stuffed up causing more time and you money! Most workshops would easily be able to do all of the things you are getting done. But watch who you get to tune your car as thats the most important part. good luck matt
  11. this thread is a joke, to all the morons obsessed with the fluttering noise, the only real flutter that sounds any good and is the cause of something useful comes from a wastegate, preferably an external one off a big turbo. Otherwise dont bother trying to obtain the noise through other means because it never sounds the same and it never sounds cool, its merely an imitation of wastegate flutter. People talking about thick intercoolers and huge pods giving the best noises rofl...its hilarious. Why would you want a 110mm thick intercooler on a car running a stock turbo that cant possibly flow enough? Oh to get the flutter lol. Sad that this thread only comes from last year, you'd hope its from like 2003 or something when imports were new and people wanted to make them "fulleh sik" with flutter noises.
  12. id like to come watch some of the cars, I am missing the big hp days. You probably dont know who i am but you and I have raced before....hmmm to put it delicatley not at willowbank, im sure you can guess where. My old cars in teh pic below. I remember looking over your car and talking to you in the maccas carpark before the gateway..It was a while ago like a year or so, back when your car was calsonic blue. It went pretty hard...I saw you down the spit yesterday too lol, out of interest why'd you respray it?

  19. yep, the waiting game that is the qld court system...or practicly anywhere in australia...make that most of the western world. Right to a speedy and inexpensive trial pft, yea right, depends on your definition of speedy and inexpensive i suppose. Keep us up to date, im interested in how you go and how the police react to this whole thing in court. Im in disbelief that it hasn't been settled yet, usually the police prosecutor cant be bothered screwing around with stuff like this. It's interesting, like i said, keep us up to date. Matt
  20. sif roll cage would stop you...rofl Noosa: Well noosa proper is relativley expensive...but go out a bit (like 5mins not doing 200+kmph) and you'll find prices a little less budget breaking. How much do you want to spend?
  21. are you taking your car out?
  22. Wrong. That phone call from the tool can still cause trouble. For eg. if he claims that he was diving dangerously etc the police might be feeling extra tough that night, go around see him and have a talk. Maybe look over his vehicle and find something to defect him. Sure that probably wouldnt happen but it could. Or how about this, go online, report his car as defective (loud or smoky) a few times and then he has to report to transport for an inspection, wasting his time and money! Its not hard to screw someone over for no reason at all. Its also so amazing how the police always seem to side with the old tool that was in the wrong simply because the owner of the car is driving an "import" or is on his p's. Tell me, out of interest what sort of car you drive?
  23. Clearly the guy did more than stare, he was mouthing off and attempting to write down the number plate. I've got to eat lunch but ill write more about this soon.
  24. hey hey, yea has been...not too much is new. Went down the spit today, saw a few sau cars, noone i recognised though. Btw i have a lexus now, as per you probably guessed in my av. I am deprived of big turbo power :-( Whats new with you?
