  1. chances are slim to none...the law is that you cannot go past that line as that is the point of "safely stopping" I doubt contesting will do any good...having said that it's unlikely contesting it will do you any worse...it will take a bit of time to get a court date and go in..but in the end you havent really lost anything other than some of your time.
  2. I could definately give you a hand with it...if you have something written up outlining the details, drop me an [email protected] and I can then advise something from there. If not id write up something outlining the facts as you'll have to say that as one of the first things to the Magistrate anyway. Matt
  3. im a 2nd year law student, what do you want to know?
  4. hey mate, welcome to the forums and congrats on the new workshop...are you the owner?
  5. hey hey, fair go, i get to ask stupid questions once and a while to make up for the lack of stupid posts when i was a n00b....lol!! So do you have that website for me, come on ppl...pick up your game jk
  6. jlnewton: So the nismo twin has no rattle? The HKS twin makes a bit of noise and I regulary have to think twice as to whether somethings lose, even though I know it isn't. What clutch did you end up going with anyway SkylineSII?
  7. while this thread is still here and i cbf searching even though i should, does anyone know the website for 101?
  8. HKS Twin plate (carbon)..works a treat, easy to use and it wont slip! I have used it in conditions in excess or 400hp with no problems. Although if your a psyco and never want it to slip I have also got a HKS triple plate (circut) clutch that has been used in the car, dont even think of slipping it though..it doesnt happen!

    Finally

8's will be sweet, it will be wheelspin heaven. Good to hear you've finally got a car....sounds like a pretty stealth weapon..hopefully you may be able to keep away from the police for a while....just a question but it isnt rego'd? So you have to get a roadworthy with all that etc?? Im assuming its not engineered? GL with it all anyway...oh and I hope that your wastegate isnt vented back in...under the passenger door is teh way..not that I know what that is or what it sounds like or anything when your down this way come around and take me for a drive! Matt
  10. personal loans are easy to get, i know from experience, doesnt matter how old you are, if you make enough money with in the ratio of earnings to expenses you'll get the loan. Alternatively call someone such as Aussie Auto Loans and they can usually go the extra yard to get you a loan...I know because my dad owns the finance company...and the regulations aren't nearly stict enough for personal loans and/or auto loans, do an online app if you want and you may be suprised. Commonwealth is usually the easiest to get through with and they also have around the best rate. Having said this dont risk getting a loan unless your confident you can pay it back. Good Luck to whoever's interested. Matt
  11. i have both seen and been in this car and I can vouch for its amazing power and great condition. It's rare to find a car so well looked after, yet still producing the amount of power that this is..anyone after a quality, fast 32 should consider this! Matt

    Reenforcement Bar

pretty sure hes talking about a bumper rio, and it will depend on whether your car is a series 1 or 2 but allow around $150-200 for one.
  13. ok for those who still cant guess it from my, very obvious post above, col was talking about......apc
  14. yea, i have received the name of the company and although i have never experienced bad service myself, good and bad things have been said about them, as with any workshop. For anyone wondering the workshop we are talking about here is sort of like the abc without the b....figure it out for yourself, if the owner wants to sue me for slander or defamation, all i can say is, have fun!
  15. asfaik the dutton rally is not cams affiliated, I know people who ran in it and they didnt have cams licenses.
  16. yea i'd say there is a special ruling for porsches and ferrari's, that and or lapd dont feel the confidence to pull over a 250+k car to fine him for not having a front number plate...the guy would probably laugh at the fine anyway. Having said this officer Hahn of qld's finest had no problem handing me a $120 for it....I was told this was the cheapest option and also the one without any points, so id be keeping that front numberplate handy.
  17. Col although it doesnt really matter, the workshop in question could do little to absolutely nothing about you bagging the service you recieved. For starters its your word against theirs and it's the truth about what your experience, your not making up things solely to slander the business or defame the company. These people sound like complete fools and it wouldnt suprise me if I already know who your talking about, as I know of many workshops who would yeild such a response from a phone call. Can you either pm me the name or just simply post it. They can't do a thing....If you dont feel comfortable doing either of these things, as I dont think we have ever personally met, can cyrus, chris, will or gordo pm me. I'd be interested to know who it is.
  18. yea i paid 1.20 its just getting rediculous
  19. Umm im confused why do you care if remax gets free publicity, dont you just work there? That and in this position im worried about much more than just people that have lived in their house a long time and are now worried about being pressured into selling to make way for a new high rise. Not saying I agree with it but i'm sure theres more pressing issues...things such as,i dunno, hooning for example jk. But yea, as far as im concerned none of the people are usually fit to be in office but they are politicians...we need a lawyer to set things straight, seen as this isnt possible, as with everyone else, if he can lower fuel prices he has my vote.
  20. said in a really fast voice "authorised by me, the king of everything, varsity lakes, qld...happy dave?"

    Visiting Brisbane

the valley is like a 5min taxi ride...not far at all........on a saturday night heaps happens in bris but not alot is the "harcore dance scene"...you can easily walk around the city and check out the clubs, most reside on the few main streets around queen st mall.

dance scene and all that accompanies it = the family...if your into atmopshere etc you need to head into central brisbane though.

    Visiting Brisbane

I suppose it depends on what your into and what sort of places you like...the family in the valley can usually cater for most tastes though.
