  5. had a few offers...one guy wanted an racq check and if it didnt come up 100% clean he didnt want the car so im like hmm, i'll tell you right now it wont come up clean no import will with racq. But i dunno, kinda lost interest in selling it, i've spent money on fixing all the problems, what small ones there were. It will probably be up for sale once i move...i just really needed a car over the past month so i didnt want to sell it before i moved. Dont know what ill get next but i'll stay in the nissan family and probably in the skyline family
  6. they are pathetic, anyone who relies on them for a check on a car is seriously kidding themselves, if they think its going to come up "clean". If you have an import, sit down, get a coffee and wait for the pages and pages of things that are "wrong" with your car to come up. They are for road side assistance and checking over nanna's corolla, if that. If anyone wants to take an import there then you should burn $170 its more exciting!! Not to mention the things they check probably wont be what your worried about going wrong in a performance car anyway. If you do a search there are a million threads about them on here...nyway thats my 2c others are welcome to disagree

  23. no prob, although i usually charge for this were friends so ill help ya out. Find the cheapest engine possible, there is no need to spend money on anything to exciting. A commo engine will do. Pull the pistons out along with the rods. Dip them in a silvery blue colour in order to make them look like theyre forged. It's also not neccessary to use vht paint as you wont see the paint come off once the'yre in the engine. You will probably have to resize them, some think machining is the solution to this. They are wrong. Use an angle grinder until you get them to around the right size. put them in and use a welder to make up the difference. You might want to "sleeve" the block with weld for extra strenght. ^ Note this is not something I have tried before and "workshop dodgy" will not claim any liability for the actions taken by others on our advice.
