lol thats rediculous......good thing im studying law, i shall find a loop hole and get out of it with some swift legal talk The DOT have no idea what so ever and the cops will just use anything they can to book you its the most rediculous system in the world!

not greatly...they are both very light, carbon fibre obviously weighs in a little lighter

already well aware of this just dont need the extra attention..

well you can get all of the bonnets on www.carmate.com.au in carbon fibre for 1,100 same as UAS but they also do them in fiberglass for 595....atm im strongly swaying for the fiberglass option as im thinking the black on white will be way to much of a magnet to defect people, even if they dont do me for bonnet im sure they would find something. I am happy to organise a group buy through either carmate or UAS to try and get bonnets cheap....I might post something up in group buy section and go from there?

i will go cf for black and fiberglass for white....atm i dunno i think black will attract the wrong attention if you know wat i mean.

interesting......im quite sure this law doesnt exist, I rang RTA the other day and they are under the opinion that there isn't any law against changing your bonnet or its shape as people have been doing it for as long as cars have been around. Crumple zones havent got anything to do with it, the bonnet isnt counted as its classed as a "weak" feature of the car from the start. Whether its a standard or aftermarket option it will still crumple easily as it has no real support and has no real place in reducing the impact to a car. I suppose you only have to look at GTR's that have aluminium bonnets, they would hold up about the same. Despite this i have no doubt police would try to book you for it, however no law = contensting....

I am in the middle of a dilemma, i dont know whether to go with a carbon fibre bonnet (black for those who dont know ) or a fiberglass bonnet and paint it. My car is a white 33.

Just a quick question...is it possible to put a series 1 dash into a series 2?? From what i thought they should all match up as they are basicly the same less airbags?? Thanx

I have the left and right series 2 gaurds off my 33 GTST, great upgrade for anyone making their series 1 look like a 2 and good for anyone who has dented their own gaurds. They have been flared and are white in colour, the paint is in mint condition.
