  1. saw a nice white 34 gtr at robina town centre today...didn't catch the plates.
  2. This forum has one of the highest hit rates and the largest member bases, obtaining new members to the forum doesn't equal more money to Christian (who IS out of pocket for this website!!!) because unless they donate....the forum gets nothing other than them using up bandwith to create useless topics. SAU lived long before now with plenty of conversation and, as Anna said, much heavier moderation. The n00bs need to learn that, sure we do want new members, but that doesn't give them free way to ignore the search function, create new threads every 2 seconds and talk garbage that everyone else does in whoretown. The n00bs don't get any more leeway than anyone else on here and that's the way it should be, this isn't a gym or club were every new member means more money so why does it seem like everyone is acting as though we should feel sorry for every n00b and give them special treatment. SAU Qld will not "die" because we discourage useless threads, in fact this whole thing is a result of ppl complaining (as I understand it).
  3. Not a question, but I agree with much of what Mud & Col are trying to say. There aren't many days when I come on here and don't see a thread started for something completely useless, in the wrong section or already covered 11ty billions times before. QLD never use to be dead, but at the same time it didn't contain the amount of garbage it does atm. Stopping stupid threads doesn't stop conversation, just useless conversation that could be had in whoretown. Matt

    Rb20 Or Rb25?

Talk to a reputable workshop or post/search in forced induction for more info on what you're going to need. Don't start the project without knowing everything you're up for, otherwise you'll be still posting in 6 months asking questions, with a car still off the road...and worst of all, you'll probably be out of money. It's a worthwhile project but when you're running a budget that can't change and you don't have a steady source of income, it can get risky. When you replace the engine you're going to probably need all sorts of new things, things you may not even think of such as a clutch, brakes, diff etc etc etc and this isn't even mentioning reliability issues that might arise. Don't just jump into this because we've all told you how "cool" it is to have a 25/26 in your 32 and make no mistake that this won't get done overnight unless you take it to a workshop that has the time and the parts to get it done quick. Matt
  13. You need mod plates for many of the above mod's. Check the www.transport.qld.gov.au website for details of it, they list almost every mod that requires a mod plate. Well worth the effort and saves you getting fined (most of the time). Also screamer pipes that are atmo venting you'll get done dry, same with a straight through exhausts...but lets be honest, who with a tough car really has a cat and a plumbed back screamer pipe....don't be soft.
  14. Warranty...hahahaha thats a good one....I think i might have peed a little........oh wait, you weren't joking? Seriously mate, take everyone's advice in here. Warranties on second hand cars (especially performance cars) bought from a dealership are about as useless as trying to eat soup with a fork. Save yourself the money and get a private sale car checked over thoroughly from a reputable mechanic or workshop. But hey, it's your money. Matt
  15. PM the car yard name to me please someone. Has anyone else tried calling this car yard yet (from the forums)? Are they still trading/when are they open? What have they offered as a most recent excuse to why the car cannot be located (other than their employee is on holidays?) are they saying they just can't find it despite their efforts to look? These people are breaching serious laws. Without even going into possible issues of how they obtained the car, there are major violations of the Trade Practices Act for amongst other things deceptive conduct for the manner in which it sounds as though they sold the car. Likely conversion and failure to retain posession under Property Law, not to mention possible contract and other legal problems. They are in deep, something very dodgy is going on and don't be told otherwise, workshops aren't this careless without knowing the consequences. Get down there, take people with you, police are the best option and start making demands. Start threatening legal action, threatening media publicity, threaten everything you can and more, because the way things seem to be heading you're going to end up on the wrong side of an insurance claim. Call TT and ACA if you're not getting anywhere....i'm serious. Keep us updated. Matt

    Rb20 Or Rb25?

my advice, don't borrow 6k to mod your car. put the rb20 back in, wait a while like Noel is saying, then sell your car, wait a big longer until the market for sklylines fall even worse once the new laws are in. Then (if you wish) borrow the money and pick up a bargain. You never get money back on modifying your car, why not take advantage of someone else's modified car for half the price you'd pay to do it yourself, makes more sense. Just imo. Matt
