Yeah I really need too. Is that the one that comes in the kit with the different grit sandpaper, UV coating etc?

Yeah I get what you mean mate. Honestly like you said could have been much worse so I'm not that annoyed. Just annoys me that people aren't more careful around other peoples property. Had Christmas lunch today with the old man's side today. So much food. Feel like I got a food baby in the old gut.

It's not too bad, they've dislodged one of the screws that goes into the chassis to hold it in place (if that makes sense). It hadn't prepped or sprayed either, and no real cosmetic damage. Zip tied it in place for the meantime. But still shit like that just pisses me off.

Xavier's Build Thread
gtsttrk replied to gtsttrk's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
So nothing huge, but got some braided brake lines off Basti. He bought them in the last GB but didn't end up using them so am very happy with that. Gotta take the good with the bad however. Walked out to find someone has managed to dislodge part of my front bar. No real damage which is good, and it hadn't been painted yet either but they've knocked out one of the screws. Zip tied it back on for the meantime. -
Walked out to my car to find some bastard has reversed into my front bar. #rageguy

I dunno, I guess it would depend on your emotional attachment to the car. I know for me if the car was still Mechanicly and it'd only be taken/stolen by joyriders if nothing was wrong I'd want it back. Plus, I'd loose a fair bit of excess if it was stolen.

Yeah I thought of nistune it'd certainly be the most economical on purchase price. But from my understanding (haven't done a tonne of reading yet so don't flame me) you are fairly limited on a Nistune compared to stand alone ECU's?
-
What a moron. Steals car, drives it as if it's his own, repeatedly in same area, AND asks neighbors for help with it? What an absolute amateur. Hopefully the car isn't in to bad of a shape mate.

R33 GTR ( was very dark) driving down Greythorn road last night. Prob around 10.15ish Had SAU stickers

Exactly the same boat that I've been in. Going to ring my tuner and see what their most comfortable with as we all know an ECU is as only good as the tune/tuner. But I'm leaning towards vipec, allows duel fuel maps (E85/98) and also MAF/map tunes.

What's everyone getting up to this arvo? I'm gonna head down Elwood beach, have a few brews. Good arvo for it.

Yeah I worded this very very poorly. What I was tryig to say (poorly) was that I didn't think that the stock auto would be able to handle the power levels (ie. 280ish kw), but yeah I worded it very poorly. Reference to the boost levels was in response to the poster commenting on the boost that the hypergear turbos ran in the test. But yeah reading over it I can see how it's caused confusion!

Got mixed feeling of the hatches, don't really like the altezza lights they have on the rear, and I'm not a huge fan of hatches generally.

Loving it mate?

Everytime I see this I feel like raging a little.....goddamn muzzas.

Hypergear test car ran an SS2 at 22 PSI (?) from memory. Doubt the auto would handle that at all. OP would require some serious work I'd imagine for the auto to handle that, plus I'd say you'd be playing roulette on stock internals running that as a daily?
-
From what I've read I believe that 280kw would be out of the question with 250-260 being the max for the output on a 34 hi flowed turbo. There's some very helpful info in the Hypergear thread, and Stao is great to talk too. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I'd suggest looking at the SS1PU (good for a street driven car, responsive and good for around 260kw) or the SS2 (externally gated, 280 is attainable). Not to sure about the auto, but I'd imagine it would start to slip at these power levels. Once again I'd suggest having a read through the automatic performance thread.

Question On Durability Of Rota Wheels

Clearly someone doesn't understand The term facetious. Clearly I was making a flippant remark to a somewhat over argued and obnoxious 'have vs have not' debate. -
That's the problem with M sports kits. To pull that look off you do need some major low. I was going to buy one but honestly the height issue is why I didn't. But in saying that I think you'll find that you'll struggle with most aftermarket kits with a lowered car. I had a GTR bar on and that ripped off due to a low ride height, currently I have a 400R and on my coils highest setting it still scrapes.

But yeah I gotta agree with a poster earlier on, on this page. In two and half years only been spotted once!
