  1. sicjet on Doncaster road.
  2. Haha just saw your reply...few months later lol! Did you en up getting these fitted? Or weren't they any good? Guess what I was getting at with lots of work is that often by using cheaper parts lots of modification is needed to fit them. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a genuine 400r front, no modification was needed at all. Lined up on a dummy fit first time! So yeah, the price difference can be a big thing, but most times I'd rather spend the extra coin (if I can afford to) and reduce the labour/fitting times. In my opinion.
  3. So while the new frontbar looks the good, I've got to say it's a bit of a nightmare. Car is still raised on the highest setting on the coils but this front bar literally scrapes on so many driveways, bumps etc! GTR bumper never did, and that was with the coils running on a mega low setting!
  4. Hey mate, curious as to what shape you were after when doing the FGing. Certainly got me interested! Would love to know how the 4000s go too, looking at doing my own upgrade on brakes too. Thinking of an Evo 9 brembo conversion but a lot of work.
  5. Buy something cheap and reliable. My first car that was my own, and not Mum or Dad's haha was a CE lancer. Nothing special at all, not many comforts and got a lot of crap for buying it! But hey it was cheap as chips to run and ran on the smell of an oily rag. Maintenance costs were very minimal and I still have that car today 4 years on as a run-a-round. Trust me, depending on what you plan on doing post year 12 you WONT want to be forking out massive amounts for fuel, and you'll only spend money modding a car you don't truly want to drive. In that time I saved money and purchased my first turbo vehicle (R33 GTST), and then came on to my second. Personally I'd advise you against going for a GTS, but hey thats me. If you are set on it, go for it! And don't let me trod on your having a car you might possibly love! But all I'm saying is look at the bigger picture, of when you're off your P's! Plus, I've never had any experience but I might say that in 4 (?) years when you're off the P's, and if you were still driving it, it would be somewhat hard to sell a 20something-old, non-turbo import. Best of luck though mate
  6. Playing as Zero, not sure what I think of him. Played BL as Lillith and loved the phase walking. Ah well!
  7. Ex GF lived in FTG right next to Mountain Gate...never again, never again.
  8. Tramp or revolver. Got to do it once!
  9. Very nice 34 GTR on Burke Road late this arvo, around 5.45 looked and sounded like it had the goods!
  10. Hey mate, headlights?
  11. Yeah I gotta agree with you. Way to small, and I couldn't imagine that this would be an easy and cheap mod. I'm no good with electrics so if it was me I'd rather just save and buy the S3 lights but thats just me. Eh, either way as has been said Skyline lights aren't that bad, haven't dated in my opinion like a lot of 90's car lights have. Good clean and they're looking schmick
  12. Nice bayside blue GTR this morning when I dropped my car off! Looked schmick
  13. What's available? And prices?
  14. Okay so last week I unfortunately got rammed with massive dildo by the Po-lease! Had three minor defects, (rims, tyre load rating and front bar) which has resulted in me getting my first ever defect. As it was three minor it equalled a major. To be honest, the cop wasn't a bad bloke, and as I needed to fix up the front bar he said he wouldn't make me get a RWC. So this weekend I've sourced myself a 400R front bar, raised the coils and now just need to get the bar fitted and old rims on. The car has been booked into DT panels for this Wednesday, and in addition to the bar I'm having my Ganadors fitted. I'm also going to take the time to get the rash on the rims, and have them powdercoated midnight purple.
  15. I've used a JJ split before and didn't think that it was a bad little piece. Had it installed correctly and I definitely felt an increase at the RPM's that boost came on. The spool definitely seemed to come on earlier than when I was using a belmouth. Mind you, this could have just been a placebo. But the JJ split isn't bad for what you pay. Just out of interest, has anyone used any of the CES products that I mentioned earlier? If you look at their website some of their products boat huge KW gains for what they are.
  16. Yeah I worded what I was asking very poorly, too much excitement from the granny lol Basically I was asking if anyone knew of a split like the one in the OP posted a pic of. Virtually all the ones I've seen either just replace the stock dump, or utilise the shorter split such as the JJ, CES etc.
  17. Does anyone have an example of a split that brings the WG flow back in basically where the the dump joins up with the cat? I've had a look around but haven't been able to find any that are produced like this.
  18. If you were looking at a split dump I'd say look into the CES split dumps. Apparently these utilise a a longer split pipe, unlike the JJ ones etc and are supposed to effectively reduce back pressure on the waste gate flap (iirc). So therefore I'd say the full split front, and not the just replace the stock dump.
  19. It adds to the h3ktiikness of the vehicle!
  20. Just reread OP, thought it said it was a GTR!
  21. I'd seriously be asking why it's 10k...
  22. Not saying they're all terrible, but as I said I've heard a few can be dodgey and have ha to be replaced. Read it in a couple of threads here on SAU, but as I've said I'm not commenting on personal experience just what I've read on here.
  23. No worries champ. Anyways as I said I've found the nismo pump an excellent choice!
  24. Think nengun has some from memory, BC racing possibly. 999 auto possibly, just jap definitely did them I had them to put on my RB never got around to it. Still sitting in the shed! You sure they don't still do them mate?
  25. Walbro have a good rep, with the Bosch pumps Ic heard good and bad things. Seems they can go either way depending on batch etc. I recently bought a Nismo and couldn't be happier. I'm letting a GTR pump go. PM if interested, I want it gone!
