  2. I am still undsecided what to do, is the law on the wheel under the rime that it needs to be under the top of the guard only ? My mate at Bearepairs said the law now is that the tyre needs to be under the guard not the rim, either way I might post a pic of the amount it sticks out and see if you guys think that camber is the way to go or if ity would require to much camber. How quickly do you go through a set of rear tyres n1
  3. Yer I have tein Super Street coil overs, Think I will go changing the tyres options, Camber arms fitted will cost me about 395 but I think I would need a lot of camber to get them under my gaurds, thus increasing tyre wear pretty badly
  4. Yes camber is the key, I have camber on the rears but only due to the lowering, how quickly do you go through tyres, I was basically planning on getting smaller tyres. I have not hit front or rears except for big mups since rolling the rears and taking the liners off the front and bending the tabs up. How much were your adjustale camber arms ? for the rears Nice car to mate, does anyone know if you need to cover the small wiring under the left hand front liners ? Nice car to mate. I am going to take the rims off this weekend and put the stockers back on, then leave them off until i get a good solution. Just not sure what that is these are my options I think: 1-Camber with exisiting rear tyres but they will wear out quickly 2-Smaller tyres 235 or 245. 3-Both of the above 4-Buy a Nissan pulsar and have an easy automotove life lol
  5. Well i got the rears rolled and took the linners off and bent up the tabs that screw went into, so far its a lot better. still rears stick out to much, I looked at camber arms but I wil need to much and tyres wont last longer then 3 months, I am not looking for some second hand decent 235/40 or 240/40 if anyone has some, and I will have some 265/35 for sale.
  6. I am chasing either 2 or for decent second hard tyres. I also will have a set of 4 265 18" 35 if anyone wants to swap or wants them, not sure how much yet.
  7. anyone wanna swap used 265 for 245 lol
  8. Thanks N1, the car is getting the guards rolled as we speak, the fronts I am hoping will be ok, but the rears will still need rear upper arms (adjustable) to get them under the guard I think, when the tyres wear out I will put 245 on them, what width are your wheels ? I have 265 on 18 9.5 +12
  9. As i said 265 will definitely fill the rim - I actually want 245 on mine cause I have a R32gtr and fitting the damn things without scrubbing under the guards is a pain the rims are actually under the guards but tyre is wider.
  10. I have a cheap as brand on my TE37 18" +12 265 they go over the edge of the rim but about 1cm
  11. Well this is a bit annoying I didnt do my research good enough the wheels are just to god damn big. I took the car to Fulcrum today, the boss had a look and said my best bet is to roll the front and rears leaving the front inners on, and then they will take it for a drive and see how it feels, if its no good then take the inners off. the rears the only option I have is to put adjustable rear upper arms on and run camber to try get the wheels under guards. other then that he said get smaller wheels (9") How the hell do all you guys run 9.5 18"s on 32 GTR's hope the scrubbing is better after rolling.
  12. What issues would there be with getting the guards rolled by fulcrum, can anyone tell me, he said he heats the guards up and then rolls them with the machine.
  13. You can buy them off Unique Autosport or make one yourself out of stainless (0.5m I used) and make a teplate out of cardboard then cut out the stainless to match and either weld or pop rivit together, then insulate it with stuff from clarks foam and rubber. Did the trick for me, heaps of people on here have done it. have a look at a few past threads good instructions.
  14. Nothing the Liner will be gone, then what ever electrics there are under there I will have to cover another way. I dunno had the wheels for 2 days and they are a pain lol u recon an offset of +20 same size everything else would fit better.
  15. Well bugger I was always told +12 To +20 was good for a GTR. The guy at Fulcrum Recons its no worries he has done plenty of 32s, I dunno Most people are amazed the wheels dont fit well under the guards especially under the back. It sticks out about a cm. Whats the issue with rolling the aluminium guards ? He just said it was hard thats all.
  16. I am taking it to fulcrum, they will roll the 4 guards for 160-200, take the plastic out of the front then see how it sits then decide on adjustable rear upper arms to get the rear wheel under the guards.
  17. Hrmm ok I have 265/35/18
  18. yer I might find someone that can do it at the GC, I think I will have to pull the plastic off on the inside of the guards aswell.
  19. LOL it was part of the conditions of getting the car in the firts plcae
  20. I was thinking maybe to add rear adjustable upper arms (i thinkt hats what i need) to allow me to change camber so the wheels fit under the guards at the back, then I will see how bad scrubbing is and go from there. front scrubs under big bumps.
  21. 00skyline00 have you got any camber on yours ? and what size rims you have ?
  22. Bugger DMR, means I would scrub with 245, I just went for a spin and it seems better, Just scrubbing from the bumps now not when I turn, I might get some camber on the rears to see if I can get the tyre inline or under the guard so its legal, not sure about camber on the front will it help or will it get closer to something on the inside. Can anyone tell me how many k's roughtly they get outa tyres when putting camber on them ?
  23. Right hopefully problem is sorted, I pulled the 2 front guards off, grinded the sides as close as I could to the screw holes hammered the wall where the guards screw onto back and now I have about and inch clearence both sides turning the wheel full lock both ways, fingers croshed.
  24. Ok thanks Hey alex I have found the main problem my tyres are hitting the front of the Sideskirts, Really badly I drove it today and it basically bent the metal holding the front of the side skirt forward I have since bent this back and checked both sides, they both hit check out the pics to understand, What has anyone done to fix this, cut some of the side skirt off ? take the small front section off ?
  25. I am not going to lower it anymore, I like being able to get into most driveways, I will maybe look at either getting tyres or see who can roll guards at the Gold Coast and see if that can flare them out a little bit more (on the back) not sure where the sheels are scrubbing opn the front yet, will have to investigate.
