Where To Buy Metalcat And Opinions On These ?
Mark0 replied to Mark0's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Cheers, After reading some posts last night I am a bit concerned there are a lot of people that have put these on and they have collapsed within a few months, normally if they are running a rich tune, I dont want the chance of this damn thing collapsing. I have heard bad stories about the Catco and Xforce and everyone I have spoken to said go the Metal Cat but now I dont know which way to go or what to get, I have a 3.5" system with HKS Dumps and front pipes no cat atm into a mild steel 3.5" pipe. Anyone got any suggestions -
Where can I buy a Metalcat (the brand Metalcat) from, their website is shocking.

cheers i have seen a pic of TE37 same size and offsett and they look sweet where the site under the guard. Just got to decide which ones to get now CR kai or TE37 :s
-
See this is the pic i am basing my opinion on, I think it looks average it looks like the rims are to big or stick out to far. these specs 9.5 x 18" +20 Falken FK451 265/35/18 Do you think the ones in the pic above are 17" what do you recon ?
-
That looks awesome, I was going to get a set i need to decide by the end of the weekend, but all the pics i have seen of them on 32's i think they look crap, the ones i was looking at are 18x9.5 +12 but I think The +12 offset will be to big for the 32 Guard, it will stick out to much, I want my wheels to sit flush or under the guards like this picture. The tyres on them are 245/40. Has anyone got opinions on this ? how they will look
-
Tommo or Yawn if either of you are looking at selling your rims let me know I am interested. Otherwise I will prabably get a set of Works Emotion CR kai in Bronze not sure if they will look good on the 32 though.
-
Does anyone have some pics of a R32 GTR with 18" Works Emotion CR Kai's on them Also does anyone know of a Glass polish that you can buy to use on the out side of your windows, I have a few light scratches in the passenger window where it has rubbed with the windows going up and down, since getting the windows tinted yesterday its very visable. thanks

Does anyone know where to get a Metalat 3.5" cat at a decent price and what its worth to fit it ? Also has anyone got a HKS Silent exhaust (3"-3.5") I was just wondering how these things actually sound, may have to change mine as its pretty loud, thanks all

We found where water was leaking into the car got hose and followed the drips So I will silocon the hole, I think wiring got wet and caused the issue.
-
Thanks all i will check out the Voltage today I already have 33 gtst AFM on it aswell. I love my car but I have my partner aswell lol and her breaking down on the way did not leave a good impressions lol
-
I bought the car like this and have not had the $500 to put one in yet (which I am doing), dont be to quick to judge people The Car started first go this morning so I am a bit stumped, it did rain very heavily for 3-4 mins while my parter was driving home yesterday, but she said she didnt hit any big puddles and the rain was gone quick, but I am guessing some rain must have gotten in somewhere and shorted the fuel pupm wiring-fues or something, when i turned the car on before starting it this morning I got the priming noise from the pump, and the pump is about 2 years old and is a Nismo Unit. Thanks all for you help, hope it does not reoccure not sure how to get this diagnosed or checked.

Just a bit out of the blue here but Slide are the Seller just like if my Panasonic copier craps itself, panasonic dont fix it the repair agent does (not panasonic), just like if a Sony tape drive fails i send it back to a company in brisbane (not sony) for them to repair it. This procedure of sending the Turbo back to Murnan is normal, thats who built it thats who needs to fix it, if slide sell the turbo as a "slide turbo" thats fine, warranty Can if they choose go to slide then they send it onto Murnane, its quicker for you to send it to these guys directly. As for the whole sueing bit, the only obligation slide would have to you is to send your turbo back to Murnane thats it, for warranty repair, if you have not as of yet sent it to them there is no case, I can see you would be annoyed if Aaron told you to take it to gcg withour telling you that you would ware the cost or it may void warranty, that is a big mistake if this is true. Send it back get it repaired under warranty, make sure they know who you are in case you have future issues, share your concerns with murnane so you know they will take extra care on the job and if it craps itself again then you have a case to get a refund (maybe not full) or call fair trading, but you must give the normal warranty procedures a go first. And most good jap parts are now made in china buy a guy paid $1.43 a week working out of his barn with his wife lol (quality aint what it used to be)

Ok so the Cat light is the sensor in the exhaust, i seen it when it was on the hoist a while back, but I have no cat but yer either of those 2 might be the issue, anyway to diagnose afm ?
