Damn...was a pretty blue too. Your insurance company os gunna hate you! The exhaust looks salvagable. Even the front bar looks ok, from upside down anyway.

My 64k wma's sound as good if not better than 192k mp3's. At about one half the size too. I got windows xp if that makes any difference. I've got Sony CDR's. They work fine with normal music on them, just not mp3's. Anyone got a decent program that converts wma to mp3?

Try modicoat in Brisbane. They can cover your you to look like brushed aluminium. Very expensive though, but the results are first class. I think www.modicoat.com.au

If the auto is on a jap car, just press the "power" button. This will take your revs out to redline before changing, if you have your foot planted. If your foot is not planted then there is no need to go to the redline. This is quicker than trying to change yourself. But if you do this to go around corners faster, then what you are doing is the only way to keep revs up. Or buy a manual gearbox.

The only time those wheels look any good is when they are on the back, with nicer looking wheels on the front....true drift style. Try JMS, i think I saw similar ones on a car down there once.

MRE doing what he does.

Went out on Thursday night with NismoGirl and the Boostcruising peoples. There heaps of cars out and about. Plenty of police mans too. Made me feel all fast and the furious when we left Aspley carpark with 2 or 3 cop cars watching over. (and then at Springwood, riverfront, Mount Gravatt, Sandgate rd and all the ones in between)

Was given information on this place, might be worth giving them a call. They don't normally open on Saturday, but if the dollars are good enough, and potential advertising is good they may consider it. Brisbane Tuning & Turbo Centre 17 Nile St Woolloonngabba ph 3393 1588 John Whittaker runs the show there. As I said not sure what they are like, but they had want to be able to tune a skyline calling themselves "...Turbo centre."

The HKS is the one you are talking about. Like all bov's it makes slightly different sounds depending on the boost at the gear change. But the HKS makes an unusual kind of whistling sounds rather than the normal venting of air sound from most bov's.

To be realll dodgy would be not to take the gear stick out first. Just go in the car with angle grinder in hand..... or oxy. Have seen this done, "we'll just put a big sheet on this side to stop the sparks!"

I was initially going to put this material on my parcel shelf too. But seeing as you can't see the parcel shelf unless you put your head back there (i have very dark tint), and i screwed up the top section of my door, I may have another go at doing these. I also have cut out the sections to go in the back. But I fear I have cut these too small too, and not too keen to take out this panel to find out. So I have yet to do this bit. One day when I'm bored I will have a go.

Let me just say this...the further away from my door the better it looks. If I had the money i would've got a pro to do it. But for experience sake I wanted to try this myself. My technique (don't take this for gospel as it's fairly dodgy) 1 - Took material of door (was pulling up already so just pulled on it tho take it off) 2 - Pinned these to my blue material and cut around them. 3 - Took door trim off (should've done this first I guess) 4 - Unscrewed the map holder section. Placed some material over this and cut out. 5 - Glued this section down with PVA glue (i'm sure there is something better than this for the job, but all i could get my hands on) btw - I wouldn't pay someone to do this bit, it couldn't be easier as the section is flat 6 - Glued the cut out pieces to the top section. This is tricky. It is hard to get the material into the ridge arount the edge. I learnt here, cut the material slightly bigger than needed, glue flat section into place and dummy edges into position. If fit right the edges will hold into the ridge by themselves. Remove and glue. 7 - (the dodgy bit) Because I didn't do all of the above that way. Some of my edges wouldn't stay in the ridge (material too short, glue not sticky enough to hold down). So... A little dab of loctite soon stopped them from coming up. (i know dodgy) not too much though as it comes through the material (i learnt this).

My NOS comment has no relevance to TF&F (big fan of this too). it is more a comment on the street class and skyline racing. Also a note to the abilities of the japanese to get nine second times from cars that generally (note..generally) wouldn't look out of place lined up in our street catogory. ie street legal tyres (barely, but still) exhaust, massive aerodynamics, manual gearbox etc etc.

What size rims have u r32 drivers got??
NIZ30 replied to inark's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Got 18 x 8's on my gtst. Got lowered yesterday so looks better now. Was thinking about the top BSA's but I really wanted wheels with a nice lip around them. If those ones had about an inch or more lip they would look hell cool. -
So..lets see if I got this right? dAVE NismoGirl Mark0 BiteMe Chucky Myself Boxhead & Birty coming, not driving. And MRE was there last Saturday!! Final Plans? Where and when? dAVE... Piss up still on? And are we welcome to crash on your floor for the night?

Who's emission laws? If this is certified jasma trust exhaust, it certainly isn't Australias. But I am not 100%. Just going on what others have told me.
-
Not exactly.... I have changed these on my 32 to blue velour. But it will give you an idea on how it looks, cause the door trims are fairly similar. I did the work myself, but if I was doing it in leather I would get a professional to do it.
-
This was my initial thought too. But everyone seemed to doing this so I thought they must have some experience here and realise police mustn't be in the area. If they had speed cameras there at about 11 to 1 at night there would be many import drivers without a licence. In my couple of weeks of cruising at these times I have yet to see a skyline driver not race down this road. Upon saying this, advice noted.

Jasma is a company that makes exhausts. They sell their own, plus supply to 5Ziggen who rebadge them. I think maybe to a couple other too. Not sure about Jaspa.
