Me thinks NOS is cheating. Only on the fastest street driven GTR though. The whole RH9 thing, they can do 9's without NOS. But anything else is fine by me. Plus i think ANDRA should change the "street division" rules to only allow street legal tyres. You don't drive slicks on the road, so why should they be allowed in the street class. And while i'm at it road registered too. If you have a car solely used for drag racing, surely it's not that hard to get it into super street class. I know i would be upset to put money into a specific drag only car, and to be shit all over by a GTR that drove there. (rant over)

I live down the road from this place, and when I go out on a Thursday there is always a heap of cars parked there. Just wondering does anyone on this forum go there? Or what is the crowd like? I have heard they can be pretty unfriendly to imports, but I saw a few there on Thursday.

   Sorry to laugh...did you translate this yourself? If so, well done, wish I could do that.

Nice idea nismogtsx.... exactly what the club should be doing for each other so let's all support this and make sure it happens. What places are those in Stafford and Geebung?
-
Thanks NismoGirl that would be good. Been out and about a couple of times, and have met a couple of people (usually after a spirited drive down s/e freeway )

WMA's sound better and are smaller files. Plus media player uses this as standard, and I don't like the other media players that I have tried (realplayer, winamp). Will give the different cd's a go. And...thanks for the advice.

Where does everybody go to? I have been out and about the last few weeks, but am new to the area and haven't found many people.

For $50ish i'm in. Really want to know what kind of power i have. Pluas it would be a good meeting for like minded people.

I have one of these new alpine head units that can also play mp3's (sorry not going to garage at 11pm to find out which one). After making up a cd with 100 or so mp3s on it i have now tried it in my head unit and it doesn't work quite right. The problem is that each song takes up about 7 or 8 tracks. So when playing there is a pause as this changes track. This shits me as it can play for 2 seconds then pause again, and do this about 6 times during a song. I thought is may have been cause i record songs from cd in wma format. I then converted these to mp3 before copying to cd. I thought maybe the problem was in this program. But the songs i have downloaded from winmx in mp3 format also do the same things. It didn't do this in the shop with their cd. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks for that GTR King. Didn't know there were two sections to this light. Still not sure where to get one though. As for the monster tacho.... My car has a perfectly good tacho, I can't see the point (besides wank value). Of course, if your car doesn't have one as standard, it's a must.

phew.... 18".... I was thinking I was going crazy. Starting to think mine looked really small if your were 16's and filled the guards that well. Must say, nice fmic. What other tricks you got underneath the family cruiser?
-
Wow..in the pictures they look bigger than 16"! Is your car lowered too?

Nice wheels, unusual colour. Are the lightweight wheels (magnesium)? Just asking cause of the "Weds Racing Wheels" bit written on them. If so couldn't have been cheap. Mine too has new boots.

I have a set of 17" chrome mesh style wheels for sale. Two new (2 months) old Falken tyres and 2 Nangkang (i know) tyres. All 235/45's. There are some minor scratches around the rim, not many though. The Nangkangs are nearly ready to be replaced. This is why I bought new rims. Doesn't make sense? I went into the shop to buy tyres, came out with 18's. Gotta love impulse buying. (The girlfriend wasn't too happy about this though) Anyway if you want new tyres I am able to get Pirelli's for $260 each. And of couse lower quality tyres cheaper than this. Anyways asking $1000 as is. If you want the new tyres thay can be arranged with the extra cost. Car yards have offered me $950. Attached is the only picture I could find that has some of the wheels in it. My car is the white one, obviously not the green swift. If anyone wants, I can get a picture of just the wheels.

The Isotta one is real nice. You need an aftermarket steering wheel though as i tgoes between the boss and steering wheel. Personally I don't like progressive shift lights. I know when I need to shift, that is just before the red line. If i had the time to look to see what light i was up to see if i needed to shift yet, I may as well have just looked at the tacho. How much is the pencil type shift light from autometer? And from where can I get one?

The choice has been taken away from me (kinda). The $1200 was not the real price as the owner of the go fast shop found out today. They sell the commonwhore ones for this price, but the suppliers realize there are more imports that want this suspension so they charge more for essentially the same thing. Skyline ones were $2400. So springs it is. But, as I said earlier a Ferrari team mechanic who specialises in suspension is doing the work. He has my car for the full day to measure eveything to get the optimum handling. Quoted $440, so I get to make some money selling my wheels.

I have GAB adjustables on at the moment (set to hard). If coilovers are anything like these in ride quality i'll be very happy to go this way. mmm...too low. Another tick in the road worthiness.

i bought new 18" wheels for my R32. Now i am unhappy with the gap between the wheels and the guard. It is pretty much the same as it was with 17", but the 18's seem to show up the gap more. anyways...the question. Went to local shop, made enquiries. Seems I could get new springs ($400) or coilovers ($1200). I am selling my old rims for about the same price as the coilovers, but are they worth it? Or should I pocket the change? I am not (really) interested in drifting. I want to drive in style and relative comfort. The person doing the work is a previous head mechanic for a Ferrari race team, so I have been assured the suspension is going to be setup well. Sorry I don't know what type of coil over. I do know they are new, not overly stiff (possibly Koni). Any help on this would be good as the car is being done on Monday, whichever way I go.

I agree with nizmokid. Buy it from a non car related indutry and put it on yourself. i bought my mesh from a plumber for $5. Ask for offcuts that are just lying around in the way. Cost me more in metal primmer, black paint and sikaflex to stick it on. I got mesh with real big holes so as not to disturb airflow. But if you get the regular mesh with smalls holes, I have seen this reduce perfomance before. Cause the holes in my mesh is so big they wouldn't protect well (better than nother). But I feel the front bar is a bit more finished off. Attached is pic of my front bar.

I want one before Mad Mountain cruise. If this is not possible i won't be in the group buy cause I will have already bought one. So Slip let us know how your going with this during the week if possible?

The garage door idea is pretty cool. All i need now is and autometic garage door.

Strawberry face conversion is the go. If I could afford one I would get one like this and transplant my current (skyline) engine into this. Then maybe widebody....hmmm

Me thinks cruise :burnout: then piss-up  is a better order than piss-up then cruise :spew: . For the one reason, Sunday morning follows real close behind Saturday night. Is hung over people in skylines driving stupid(fun) a good idea? Just my observation.
