  1. Can I add R32s to the original question?
  2. Doesn't the "V8 Compressor" mean supercharged. Thats how Mercedes signify their supercharged models. But with a K, and that's much cooler. As in "Kompressor". I agree with the Autech Stagea, and anything by Tommy Kiara. Are TVR's sold in Australia? If not I would like to add all of them to the list.
  3. Please pardon my ingorance on this....but. 3km range does not seem very big to me  , or is this good. I have no idea. I always thought UHF range was much more than this. Or must i have a big nerdy looking arial to get better range.
  4. In my old 180, I had adjustable Koni shocks and King springs. Was told these were fine for the car, but i found on hard turn I would hit the bump-stops a lot of the time. Would understand if it was under some serious turning, but it happened on most spirted driving sesions (read "all driving"). Didn't keep the car long enough to fix it though.
  5. So what you are saying about car companies going to the shithouse is correct. Is allready starting. Just look at the V35.
  6. NOOOO!!!!!! This is as good as it gets?!?! Well I guess, I do drive a skyline
  7. will check out tokyo toys, see what they got. went into a shop today, Drift King Motorsport (i think it is called something else, but they have a big sign with this on it) in aspley, cause they had a heep of nice looking rims in the window. They sounded very helpful, and am likely to get my gearbox fixed there.
  8. If you are looking at street legal tyres (Falken Azenis etc). You could get them fitted Friday, and taken off Monday. Bob Jane charge about $5 to fit tyres. So each time at the races would cost about $20, to put race tyres on and then remove them. For the few times they would actually be used might work out cheaper. But $60/rim is pretty good price. Less hassle that way. When I crashed my 180SX, the insurance company paid for 4 local 17" alloys because it was cheaper than importing 2 original items. :uh-huh:
  9. it might be a tubby bitch, but I think most of us agree it is a good attempt by the local guys. If only Toyata had have picked up the Chaser instead of the Avalon. People under the age of 80 might actually want to buy a Toyota.
  10. I am new to Brisbane and wanting to know where is good places to buy parts for my skyline. Preferably somewhere on the northside. Right now I am specificly looking for a top radiator hose. My local Supercheap was of no use. But I want other things too like genuine skyline floormats. Went to one import wrecker and all they had was engines/gearboxes, not the little things. Went to a place that does compliancing. The workshop and yard was nose to tail import cars, looked like the pictures you see of the Jap auctions. They did not have any wrecked skylines. But an awsome supra and evo6 parked out front.
  11. :wavey:
  12. i have seen that car parked at the same place you work. It is real nice, and i like the rims too.
  13. And space to park a car and pull apart a gearbox.
  14. Not that mechanically minded, not totally helpless though. Nor do I have the time or the location to perform such a job. I'm sure NismoGirl will agree with that too.
  15. I agree with inark....and have done the same thing....and have the same problem....dammit! Everyone tells me some of the metal is gunna have to come out of the parcel tray. Does this reduce the rigidity of the car at all? If so would it be real bad? Maybe a rear strut brace...hmmm
  16. hehe less people likely to want to race us!
  17. I'm sure I will receice some backlash, but here it goes.... Is it just me or is the local car scene looking a little more (but not much) appealing these days. Not that they compete performance per dollar wise with imports. But reading today about the new XR6 with 6 cylinder turbo. Claims of about 240kw at just 5-7 psi. And it doesn't look half bad either. Imagine what some aftermarket trickery will do to that power figure. Even the new camry looks pretty good in the adds. So good it must surley have a 2JZ under that bonnet.

Ace exhaust in Rocky did the red 33 from Gladstone. Was pretty cheap. They have done atleast one before, if not more. Squizz may be able to help with good people in Rocky, or maybe not.
  19. Not sure, but my 90 model had 5"x7" all around. These were stuffed. 6" fitted in the doors, with mdf buildout. But if the shape of the rear speaker area is the same, and i would assume so. There is no chance for 6" speakers to go into the stock location, and would require a fairly extensive buildout. If you must have speakers in the back (and the stock ones definately won't do) have a think about putting them in the back seat side panels, where the little arm rests are. Behind this panel is quite a large space. So much so I considered putting 10" subs there.
  20. Hey Erin....where's Gavin at? I have all the same problems (except clutch) and $1100 for a full rebuild is pretty fooking good, from what I have enquired into. Specially for R33. 32s are cheaper and I have been told atleast that just for parts.
  21. hehe...(mental note) - take off that damn sticker.

  23. I went from no cat to a high flow cat....there wasn't any difference at all. But my on boost exhaust doesn't go through the cat anyways. :innocent: hehe
  24. I ask this... Have you driven a highly modified (turbo, button/multiple plate clutch, FMIC etc) RWD skyline quickly, and not spun the wheels? (in a straight line, not around a corner). Not it should be possible... are you able to do it? I think it is these highly modified cars in question, usually crap tyres and suspension is not in the picture. None of us pay attention to those with their standard cars and crap tyres lighting it up around a corner. A VN commodore will even do that.
  25. Now that Option has been brought up.... Can or has anyone got them or know were to get them from?
