  1. Excellent. I was wondering which workshop as I know of another car in Perth with an M800 and they might have had some answers for you. Good to hear it's all sorted. I'm not sure on more track days with my current car as it's up for sale but if no one comes up with the cash then I might sling some 1000cc injectors in it and retune. If I do that then I want to take it back to the track and have a blast. Did I hear that your other car got pinched??
  2. Hey Richard, what workshop is looking at it?
  3. Being told to hold position is exactly the same as being told to allow someone to pass. The are team orders and have always been a part of F1. If RBR employed the same tactic they wouldn't have had the cluster f..k when webber and vettel collided. The WDC would be a different story if that didn't take place. Massa allowed Alonso to pass so I can't see how they can penalise Alonso for doing what every other driver in the field would have done. End of the day it was a boring race and if wasn't for the Alonso/Massa part no one would be talking about it.
  4. Wrt a harness. If your car didn't come out with one fitted then it wouldn't have passed adr safety testing with one fitted. With a standard type seat that is designed to work in conjunction with an inertia belt if you fit a harness that doesn't have any give at all it will snap the seat in half in an accident. I wonder what that would do to your back? I would also hazard a guess that disabling a steering wheel mounted airbag is illegal? I know you can do it for passenger bags. I'm with MLCrisis here, it's a safety device with pros that far outweighs the cons.
  5. Try WA Suspensions. They may be able to point you in the right direction.
  6. Probably LF Performance. No matter who builds the engine it's going to cost and Ant is the man in Perth when it comes to these engines. Do it once and do it properly!! Rob have you still not built your thing yet?? I remember talking to you back in 2007 and though you were pretty close then. He is using -5's.
  7. No cats being a permanent thing or just to see what power it will make?
  8. He's using std cams so std springs are fine. It would be a waste of money using anything else.
  9. Saw this on the road yesterday, sounds good
  10. You say that now I'm assuming Ant's building yours as well? You won't be disappointed, that package is a perfect track setup.
  11. Good stuff Another 2.8 stalking the streets of Perth. Good luck with the build.
  12. The belt sound is probably the power steering belt. If you had new belts fitted they probably just need re-tensioning.
  13. Sorry but a few pages back he stated that only R35 owners should be able to answer his queries which to me sounds like a superiority complex. Forums are a place to view your opinions. If you don't agree with something you are allowed to post. Sometimes people don't agree and to see that as negativity then the offended party must be pretty shallow. Of course you are always going to get the crappy replies.. I suggest if you don't like the comments people post, negative or positive, you find your username at the top left of the screen and hit 'Log Out'. But we are straying off topic so to put your mind at ease and for the good of positivity I would have to suggest the op to shop around a little more and use an insurance broker. His driving record has been tarnished but nothing's going to change that now.
  14. Obviously he doesn't win if he ends up paying $5k/year for insurance. I'd say most people on here couldn't care less what car you own but when you post the dribble he has then expect to be met with negativity. Believe it or not but having a 'super car' does not make you a better or more likeable person.
  15. They have changed the rules regarding b-reg in WA. I was told it was now for rally only and you have to prove that you are entering events. I think their argument is that if you need to take the car to track/workshop etc then it can be trailered.
  16. Hamilton fastest whilst on vapors.. I think he is going to struggle but it hopefully will be a close race.
  17. Unfortunately Weldon pumps are only rated for gasoline/petrol. They would not be a good choice for E85.
  18. I know road tuning is always going to be better but it's not as easy as the dyno due to the speeds and loads you need to put the engine through. If it were my car I would have taken it to a tuner who knew the ecu and therefore could tune it properly and quickly. If there were no tuners with experience in the ecu I was looking at buying I would have bought one they did have experience/recommended but different strokes and all.
  19. It couldn't hurt. Maybe check all connections to make sure they are clean and nothing has come off somewhere. Other than that get an auto electrician to have a look at it and they should be able to tell you where the problem is. I have an earthing kit on mine (came like that from Japan) and it is supposed to help. You could try installing one of those, there is a guy in Perth, Volatile Customs or Audio something or other that makes a kit up (he may install them also). Volatile Car Audio Good luck.
  20. Paul what was the response like with the smaller housing? Just a thought Richard does the Turbonetic and Garrett T04 share the same flange size or will they be something completely different?
  21. Surely a suspension shop in Vic can source you the rear shocks? Just give a few places a call and ask for gtr rear shocks only.
  22. Have you read the thread?? He bought DMS coilovers already and you replied to an 18month old question!
