  2. Has anyone shipped their cars using a container rather than the roro way? Be interested to know when the container arrives can you be present for the opening. I wonder if it is easier to get space on a ship compared with the delays on roro's.
  3. Pretty sure Ultimate Performance Imports had a set on their website. Try this:- http://www.upimports.com.au/UPI_Parts/wheels1.php
  4. Forgot to mention that I bought mine in September 2003 when the whole SEVS availability / 15year rule changes were a bit vague.
  5. That's pretty cheap alright, what grade is it? Probably A with the accident history, depending on how minor. I wonder if a September 1990 will still be that cheap in September 2005 (providing the 15yr rule stays the same). I would expect them to go up. I'd like to know how many of the r32 gtrs that are sold at auction come here with respect to the rest of the world.
  6. Nothing has been announced publicly yet. They are warning against buying 1990 models (for import under 15year rule). I check the following site frequently for updates. http://www.dotars.gov.au/transreg/vsb/vsb_10.htm Depending on how much a RAW will charge you I can't see how it could be cheaper under SEVS?? I paid 825,00 for a grade 4 1990 R32 GTR, how cheap do you want?
  7. See attached.
  8. I've asked the supplier to provide these this morning and also phoned dotars to discuss the refusal. Got the machine telling me they are closed and re-open on the 4th Jan. Strange I thought today was the 4th of Jan, maybe it's lunch time?
  9. Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 Windows XP Pro - Original recovery cds included and user manual 40GB HDD 1.6Ghz Pentium M 512mb Ram 15" Screen NVidia GeForce 32mb 420 Graphics CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive External USB Floppy Drive 10/100 LAN Wireless LAN SD Card Reader (Built in) 2 * USB PS2 Port Com Port Parallel Port 56k Modem (Built in) VGA Port Video Out Jack 2 * PC Card Slots Bluetooth Ant Built in Infrared Port Targus Backpack I'm selling as I have company laptop and this one is sitting around collecting dust. Will freight anywhere in Australia but bear in mind with the backpack it becomes fairly bulky so it could be quite expensive. I will find out costs for interested buyers. Laptop is in Perth. Asking $900 but am also open to offers. You can PM me or email [email protected]
  10. Well it isn't good news yet! The application was rejected on the grounds that the car was not 15 years old at time of application. It was only 14years 11months and 22days. I guess rules are rules but 9 f***in days! I'm going to ring them when they re-open this week and do a bit of grovelling to see if we can't work this out. I'll keep you posted. p.s. What was everyone else given to prove the age of their cars? I got a screen capture from FAST software and got production month year to be 9001. Just wondering whether that will confuse the people at dotars or if everyone else was in the same boat?
  11. The VIN could be used to re-birth a stolen or wrecked car quite easily. I just don't think it's a good idea.
  12. It's probably not a good idea to quote the VIN number where all can see and possibly use it.
