Well when the theory becomes fact and you actually run the time get back to us.
Would really like to here some specs etc on the engine. Maybe you can post up a dyno chart, spec list etc in the RB26 Dyno thread when it's all done.
All of the above. It's just started to see some circuit action but have also had it down the drags (just the once on shitty old tyres). It's built as a track day car and am planning on doing more events / track days in the near future. It certainly won't do a 9 and I would say at a push with better tyres etc it may, just may crack an 11.0.
I drive it everyday I can but I work offshore and overseas so probably do max 5000kms per year in it. The response is awesome and pulls like a train (Ant Scali's technical term) to 8000rpm. Feels like it's got a lot more than 522hp now and as I write this planning to get some more tuning done as soon as I get home.
You need the two sensors.
I think the loom you are talking about is the sensor for the boost control kit.
The map sensors for the d-jetro plug get wired into the ecu loom.
What's your budget?
For an engine build you are probably better off going in a talking to someone face to face. They deal with dreamers ringing up all the time. I know many of the workshops are flat out at the moment so expect the odd un-answered phone call or email.
Maybe an N1 crate motor from Just Jap is the go Click Me
I have discovered that the nut on the front upper control arm bolt (the one holding the arm to the body) has fallen off.
Does anyone know the size of the nut, as in thread size? I know I will need a proper 'crushed end' nut.
When I pull the car apart to fix it tomorrow I will have no transport to get the new nut so it would be good to know in advance. Attached pic showing which bolt/nut I mean. It's the one in the rear of the pic.
Cheers.
North of river All Star and south XSpeed.
I live north and take mine to XSpeed. Ant Scali (XSpeed) has forgotten more than most of the other tuners know.
To me that sounds normal. I could be wrong but I think it allows the engine to warm up to operating temperature before loading it up into 5th.
My old calais used do this as well. Haven't owned, or driven, an auto for a while though.
