  4. Any decent detailer/painter should be able to fix your problems man. You can get different abrasive grade cuts, so prob an aggressive cut will do the trick and if not. a light rub with P2000 wet rub then a cut to bring back the shine will remove slight scratches and your water mark problems. Take it to a few shops and ask some questions. If its a 2000 model car the paint shouldnt be that bad.
  5. Just picked up my new replacement struts from CBC on south road. Took 5mins to fit and they work a treat. Def recommened for any ceffy driver.
  6. Hey mate, Yeah sweet, some info would be bloody awesome. Sounds pretty simple, wish i was good with wires!!! hahaha I'm in adelaide mate, western suburbs. Thanks man, i knew someone on here would know what's happening.
  7. Nice write up and ceffy mate. Looks clean as after the spray job... I just bought one myself as a project car. Should be on the road soon, got a few things i need to do to it. I'm a 4th year spray painter so i'll be taking it off the road in the near future to respray it. previous owner tried to respay it himself and got runs allll over it. Apart from that its pretty straight, just a few minor dings. I reckon i've seen ya cruising around military road way, car looked killa cruisin past. Keep the post's and photos coming, love ya work.
  8. Hey all, I bought my cefiro about 3weeks ago. The bloke i bought it off installed the 20det motor himself from an R32. He said the temp gauge, rev tacho and window wipers all worked before the install and didnt after.. i just picked the car up from a mechanics who said it was the fact that the cluster is original from when it was non-turbo and signal sent from the turbo motor is different and the cluster cant read it properly. The temp gauge just goes straight up to 2/5 full and stays there and the rev tacho doesn't even flinch... He said if i get a cluster from a factory turbo ceffy it will fix the problem.. Same with the wipers, similar story but he said you could prob just get and auto elec to just re-wire it.. So im just after someone who has encountered the same problem and what they had to do to fix it, so i don't go wasting my money. I'm thinkin of ringing some mechanics that do engine conversion on jap cars and ask if there've done many 20det conversions into ceffys and see if there've had similar problems and what do to fix it.. I've had a few mazda, previously but this is my first RB so im abit of a noob. Any help would be awesme. Cheers jared
  9. To avoid scraping your clearcoat, you could use a plastic applicator to scrape.. If you use a heat gun/hair dryer and consentrate the heat to behind the moulding, that will help also. Just dont hold it close or for a long extended amount of time. Thats what we use at work, always does the trick... The reason for a difference in colour could be the door/s where painted before and they just masked off the rubber moulding.. Or it could be the lack of sun its seen, meaning the door's paint has broken down quicker. Try a cut n polish, it 'might' fix it or at least make it less noticable.. If you wet rub it with some 2000, it will only fix it if it hasn't been painted before. (Meanin the clours are different and no polish will fix that) Hope that helps too.
  10. Awesome stuff. Cheers mate Just got some from a wreckers and they where stuffed too!
