Gday Guys, Started off with the intention of buying a GT-R Hence the username, after months of searching with just not finding what i wanted came across a Bright orange r32 GTS-t for $7k. Exactly what i wanted at the time so pretty much bought it on the spot, had some issues to begin with, advised the timing was retarded causing lacking performance from the dealership i bought it from, Me not knowing to much about mechanics of cars was like oh yeah, sweet as, easy fix. Turns out car was actually running on low compression lowest being 20 highest being 90. So she was f**ked. Anywho, car also was sold with wrong gearbox and dodgey suspension, so it was pretty much rip it out and start again. Got the guys at CMR Motorsport to hook me up with a rb25 half cut and put that in for me. This is where i am now!, july rolling round and the intention is to do fmic, gt3582r, 750cc injectors, bov, and tune all at once. Current figure on 165kw at the wheels, hoping for around the 320 - 350kw atw. will post up some photos when i get a chance!

Oh if i didnt love this thing so much it would be gone by now! after having a dud engine, followed by dud gearbox, and dud suspension. it seems i have another problem, but this one i havent got the faintest idea what it is.. which is why i need the help of you all on what it is and how to fix it!. well, it first started off with instead of the normal spool noise it went kind of high pitched, it then decided to change from high pitched to sounding like there is a leaf stuck somewhere, but it gets louder as i put my foot down harder. ive never blown a turbo before, but i can imagine it would sound pretty similar to what it does now.. either that or something stuck in the intake, its not rediculously metallic sounding and im noticing no lack of power, still skids when i put my foot down. dunno if it makes any difference but its a rb25, stock turbo, rb25 box and 9 pound of boost. thanks in advance for your always awesome help guys!

Finally! Been too long since a viper, childhood dream -
Ok, now before someone flames me for starting a new topic, i couldnt find the info i needed in the prior kinugawa topic. I am looking at purchasing a t67-25g Kinugawa turbo to bolt on to my rb25 R32. just curious whether i can still use my standard manifold? or is this going to be a super expensive excersize to do rather than buying a sixboost t3 flange manifold. anyone with a t67 had an reliability issues?

Gday guys, Just bought myself a orange r32 GTS-t after looking for a decently priced gtr for ages with no luck so this is a car for short term. Having some minor issues. Car is currently driving, turbo seems to be working can hear spool and everything. But once boost kicks in acceleration drops instead of gains, seems going from 3000 revs and up takes aaaaages. was told by previous owner timing was retarded, however have fixed that and still no luck. Could this be a boost leak somewhere? its feeling veeeery sluggish atm. coilpacks? got spitfires in there already but who knows, spark plugs cause this? timing? Any help would be greatly appreciated to ease my concerns of low compression...

looking at either importing or buying a 32 GTR in the next couple of months, well as soon as my car sells. just wondering if anyone can answer a question for me, as soon as i get it i will be changing turbos and bits and pieces, the way the twin turbo works, do both turbo's work simultaneously? or does one kick in after the other? trying to work out whether i should go 2 big turbos, or a smaller turbo like a 28-71R and a t66.. if this would work..?

as an employee of NRMA insurance i can say that if you were given a market value of $13000 on your r34 and you cannot replace your vehicle for that amount, that is not the market value. we are not supposed to disclose the figure of market value due to its never a true reflection of what you will recieve at claim time. if your vehicle was to be written off, your vehicle would be assessed at the date of the claim ( condition , km etc ) and compared to other vehicles on the market , hence the term market value. Any insurance company that tells you the figure of a market value is being decietful as this is not what you will recieve if your vehcle is written off. as for modifications, NRMA will cover ALL modifications as long as they are legal, if you have tuned / replaced your ecu please be aware this is grounds for denying a claim, this is under most insurers! claims process with NRMA is quick , efficient and friendly. if your vehicle has a "low" sum insured, then change it. all insurers offer agreed value.

Need Insurance? Want Cheaper Insurance?
godzilla111 replied to two40's topic in General Automotive Discussion
if your in qld , sa , or wa call NRMA / sgio / sgic all the same company, cheapest quote or beat by 10%, modifications covered as long as legal and do not need to list, can insure up to 140% of the vehicles market value
