  1. how r u gordo? I have a full 3" xaust with high flow cat, and 3 1/2" front pipe.
  2. In my opinion 250kw's is heaps in a r32 with its slightly lighter body. Nissan's main reason for adding .5lt of displacement was mainly to compensate for the extra weight of the r33 and r34. After you put your cooler on, you could invest in a boost controller so you can wind it up a bit and see how you notice the difference. My car went from 118kw's with just an exaust and pod to 158.8kw's with blitz LM cooler, boch 044 pump, pod, bleed valve (13psi), and re-mapped ecu. Alot of fun but now im sick of it and want more power. In my opinion gradually turn your car into a beast so then along the way you can get used to the drivability and power along the way. You will become alot more comfortable behind the wheel and alot safer. take it easy Mark
  3. what do you guy's think of the garrett gt28? check it out at www.horsepowerinabox.com I was told it can flow 280 - 300 kw's.
  4. Hi Guys, At the moment I have a blitz LM cooler, boch 044 pump, exedy organic clutch, pod, bleed valve, re-mapped ecu and its currently making 158.8rw kw's on (13psi) although Im starting to become bored and would like to add another 90 odd kw's to that. Im not sure on what turbo to buy, something responsive, good for a daily driver and able to make good power at round 16psi. I was advised by www.horsepowerinabox.com to go for the Garrett GT28 as viewed on the website. What do you guys think of that turbo? Has anyone bought one or know anyone that has bought one? Also it a T25 flange, is that bad to get an adapter for a smaller flange? thanks Mark
  5. from what i know the gt rs is an update of the 2540, similar and made more responsive providing an extra 30 odd hp than the 2540 also. I think the gt rs will do it 2530 would be close not sure bout the gt28r
  6. I wonder what the HKS GT-RS turbo is like as its rated at 400hp and is supposed to spool up much faster than a 2540. This is the turbo il probably save for in the future.
  7. i am thinking bout doing this conversion in 1-2yrs also and would like to find out more information bout it.
  8. cool! i wonder wat it taste's like? have to try it...
  9. i used to go there last year i was there for 3 years...
  10. sorry to be off the topic mate, although how much roughly did the rb26 conversion cost? and whats insurance like? i really want to do that in my 32 gts-t sorry again mark
  11. the noise sounds like something is loose sort of airy and there is a tiny squeel, sometimes i press the clutch and the noise stops when the clutch is pressed in. sometimes i press the clutch and it doesn't make a difference. really irritating
  12. with mine i had a thrust bearing noise and got it changed wen i had to change my gearbox, and this noise is different (its louder). Can thrust bearings make different noises? thanks heaps for the feedback guy's Take it easy Mark
  13. Hi guys, ive been hearing a funny noise coming from my car and it sound like a kettle on the stove under heat but not whistling. Sorry thats the only thing i could think of to describe it. I notice it when im slowing down or rolling in my driveway. Acouple of times when it has occured I have pressed the clutch and the sound has gone away although once when I pressed the clutch it didn't do anything. Its really bugging me I think it could be the thrust bearing what do you guys think? thanks Mark
  14. skylines dnt have an 80's style dash and are much more sleek... also u can cause compressor surge in a skyline by blocking one of the pipes of the blow off valve...
  15. dnt have enuff power, vl's have been beaten by me many times! and by the way dropping coolers is not the term - its formally known as "compressor surge"
  16. If it was me I'd go the white one coz i think 32's look great in white! Although I do believe that you should go the 2nd or 3rd one as they are practically stock. You wont have any probs trying to register it and you will have the full doing it up to suit your needs. There is also less chance of wear on the entire car. take it easy Mark
  17. I'd go the 32 they are agressive with a sharper shape and replacement parts such as gear box and engine are quite cheap. On the other hand the wrx will launch better initially but once the skyline gains traction its quicker. The older shape wrx has a weak gearbox too. The 32 gearbox will handle 220ish kw's although you can upgrade to a 33gts-t which is heaps stonger. What ever decision you make they are nice looking cars that perform well to what they are made for. They will also piss alot of one-eyed v8 drivers off take care Mark
  18. sorry buddy ive got none
  19. I am happy to consider offers or a swap as I am not 100% at this stage. thanks Mark
