Intercoolers: How long do they take to install?
makaveli replied to RedEmblem's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi Andrew, I bought a blitz lm intercooler kit for my r32, fitting was a breeze. All I had to do was remove the front bar and old intercooler and simply bolt in the new one. Im not sure what front bar you have as it may need to be modified. I have a gtr front bar and it was ok. Take Care Mark -
Hi Sydney Kid, Yes I think the suspension may need a bit of attention. At the moment I have Tein HA Coil Overs, although I think it would be nice to get those whiteline sway bars and front adjustable castor rods. I did have a strut brace although I have to find a way to get it to fit now The Teins are quite good though, as there is minimum body roll when cornering. Take Care Mark

thanks fellas I couldnt be more satisfied with it!!! If I push it it just spins all through first and second gear, makes driving more exciting hehe! Even in 4th and 5th gear it just wants to pull, and its sooo much smoother. Take it easy Mark

Hi Roy, No probs mate. I purchased the motor, gearbox, loom and factory ecu for $2,500. It should have been $3,500 although they took $1,000 off for the rb20. For labour it ended up being just over $2,000 then plus $400 for tuning and $500 for the wiring loom. I'd luv to get a 2530, 2535 or even a hi-flow although my wallet isnt very happy with me at the moment so it will have to come in the distant future take care Mark

Hi Guys, It has been some time since I have been on the forums. Some of you may remember that I was doing a rb25det conversion in my r32 gts-t. It is now all complete. Due to alot of delays such as waiting 2 weeks for a gtr speedo drive and waiting 3 weeks for an auto elec to do my wiring loom, I can now say I am not sorry as it was all worth it. I used a s2 rb25 from a late 96 r33, along with the gearbox and wiring loom. I added a 3" front pipe onto my apexi exhaust system, power fc and blitz spec r boost controller. On dyno dynamics dyno it made 197.6kw's at the rears on 11.5psi. The overall drivability of the car is sooo much better. It makes you feel that the rb25 should have come in the 32 from factory. Good Stuff mate, the old rb 20 is great. Unfortunately im to lazy to fix mine up so I just dropped an rb25 in. Take it Easy Mark

Help with rb25 conversion in r32...
makaveli replied to makaveli's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
great info guys!!! I have found an auto elec to do the job although I have to wait until the week after easter for him to do the loom. He charges $550. Cant wait to get the car back, its killin me. How much power am I likely to make with the rb25 on 13psi with power fc, blitz fmic, full apexi exhaust, pod, and bosch 044 pump??? Those would be the obvious power up mods. -

Help with rb25 conversion in r32...
makaveli replied to makaveli's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I will go see the mechanics tomorrow, its an rb25 loom. Apparently the rb25 loom has to be pulled out and by using bits and pieces from the rb20 loom make up a custom loom to suit the situation. I dont know if thats what needs to be done or not but thats what I am being told. Thats what the $800 will be for. If anyone has done this conversion before or knows anyone that has played around with the looms please let me know. Thanks for all your help Mark -

Hi Guys, The mechanics put the r33 loom in my car and it wont start. Thankyou for the feedback, im a little lost on the situation. What do I need to do to get everything to work and the car to start? Chasers can make the loom work although thats $800. I dont know whether I should just do that. All your advice is much appreciated Thanks Mark -
