  1. I have not done it but a few of the old crew like the John Bowe courses. Drive safe used to run a very nice course and I'll speak to a mate of mine regards Mircots now days. Used to be the best but they did loose a lot of really good personal. I think there is a real skyline freak there though now days which is always a bonus if someone is really interested in your cars. If we ever get off our asses and start running courses again I will post it here. In the mean time do them all. With 400 rwkw no BS you need to really learn how to pedal it. That things is a serious tree hugger. You should be looking to build up and do motor sprot courses and get a Cams licence. The more time you put in on the track the better off you will be. If you get a track day that you can have passangers give me a yell. I'll meet you there and show you around. Mick.
  2. Still got the standard 32 GTR air box?
  3. I am yet to find one that has not been wound back including my own. I think more often than not they have just taken the 1 off the front of them. Where do people think these cars have been? In a garage for ten years with the suspension being bounced all day long. There is a reason these cars are cheap. You have to take a risk with them. Mick.
  4. I used to instruct advanced/defensive driver training courses and I used to do a hell of a lot of track days with different clubs etc. Since I got my GTR I have done one track day at Winton too test set up and get myself used to the car. Getting a GTR fast is easy, getting it around really fast is not. My car needs new springs (on order in soon) and I need to retrain myself. I have been speaking to a few guys I know who used to instruct with me or with other groups and we may get back into it soon. Mick.
  5. Jesus, that is full on. You better get into a driving course ASAP. Mick.
  6. So you already bought another car? Not a GTR?? Mick.
  7. But hey man don't feel bad. As I am coming out of a long sweeping bend hard in third and squeeze the throttle on and all 250 rwkw try to grab onto the road thru all four Yokahama tyres and I am pushed into the seat so hard it is hard too reach forward and the needle runs out of figures too tell me how quick I am going, I will think of you. Mick.
  8. It is a cold sunny day. It is time to pull her and give her a run. Mick.
  9. You lucky, Lucky bastard.
  10. Is the F-50 from the Lindsey Fox Museum? If so did they start it for you? When I was there they started that and the F-40 for me. What a buzz. The F-40 sounds like a quiet GTR but the f-50 sounds fat. Mick.
  11. The car has 450rwkw and has run 1.02 at Calder and should be even faster now as it has more power and torgue. Just an incredible car. Mick.
  12. For me the best GTR going around is Ben at RacePace's 33. Simply the best overall package. Incredible power from so low in the revs to so high, engine built too last, awsome suspension set up, Full Harrop breaks, Great interior and brand new paint job. Everything is done the way it should be done. Almost the best road car I have ever seen. The track times this car runs on R Rated road tyres around Calder/soundown etc are unheard of in any other form of road going sprint events that I have ever been involved with. Simply Awsome, Mick.
  13. Camera's still need flashes at night and the red light camera's flash day or night. Even when a speed camera durin the day does not use a flash the rate of successful shots drops substantially, but as less people see the camera they get more photos so it adds up in their favour. This spay if it does replect will work against flashing cameras. Mick.
  14. I used to have a bubble cover over my plate that I sprayed with a releasing agent that worked really well. Used to reflect even a torch light. But in the end the cops pulled me up all the time and told me of for it. Have not had it for years but maybe worth a go again. Mick.
  15. Me too.
  16. Grand Prix Legends. Grand prix 4 Colin Mcrae Rally 3 All played in Hyper Simulator.
  17. Race Pace 9/6 Holloway drv Bayswater. 9762 9421 He is "The Man".
  18. If I was spending that sort of cash I 'd get Ben at Race Pace to check it out. He is in Bayswater. Get him to check it out and put it on the dyno. See what it is really like. Mick.
  19. Yes and for me Julian is not much of a reference.
  20. Sorry usuckpoo (nice name by the way) where can we get this from? I would be more than a little interested.
  21. The commercial is very cool and it does indeed mimic a movie that circulated many years ago when a film director drove his ferrari through the streets of Paris very early one morning with a comera strapped too the roof to his model girlfriend waiting for him at the end. It remais one of the best peices of footage for car enthusiast going around. It and the ruf Porsche curculation around Nurburgring are my two favourite pieces of driving footage. If someone gets a copy of the full version of "The Run" I would like to hear what it is like. Mick.
  22. The grey one that I saw was a 93 by memory but it was Keilor was. Guy named Alex owned. If it is the same car is is really nice and straigt. Original except for an exhaust and air pods. I have driven them both. Black one drove nice, had good power but had had a lot of mods on it including boost controller which is a concern. It had had a bit of body work done on it as well. But overall come up alright. All tests mechanincally came back good but it definalty needs some body work too tidy it up. The grey was was very nice mechanically and drove really well. Very tight. I put an offer in on it that was rejected but it is more than he is asking now if this is the one. I would say though that with a 89 I would wait and buy one from Japan once in the new year. The price will definatly drop and you should be able to get a nice one if you take your time. You have to be careful no matter what you do and it is always a risk but the price for an 89 may be so good then that it is worth taking the chance. Mick.
