  1. After wondering what the stag would look like in sedan form i scoured the net not able to find anything remotely close to what I was looking for. I've seen countless R34 front-end mods, even the odd ute or two. Even an R34 with a stagea front end would have sufficed -but nothing. So...after 10 mins on photoshop and 2 rather crappy pictures of a stagea and an R34 I came up with this. -Rather disappointing but at least I had closure..... For some reason the word maxima comes to mind.
  2. Infiltrator is right. More specifically, as far as I'm aware, the fan is "locked" at idle at any temperature. When the engine is cold If you rev it slowly to about 3 - 3500 rpm and hold it you should hear the fan noise die off. If this doesn't happen your fan clutch could be siezed.
  3. Haven't done my first service on the stagea yet but I can just imagine what the boffins at toyota were thinking when they decided on the location for the filter... ..."hmmm lets put it where only small children might be able to access it, lets make it so some how it tightens itself tenfold so that you can barely get it off and lets put it right here so it pisses out oil all over the engine mount when ever you do a service!"
  4. You've come to the right place mate. Forums are the best places to pick up great deals. Jump onto the for-sale section and check it out. Series 2 R33's are going dirt cheap compared to what they were worth only a couple of years ago. The plus side of buying off a forum is that you can run a search on the seller to see if there are any old posts they've put up describing issues with their car to give you a better appreciation of the cars back ground. Another good for-sale forum is at http://www.nissansilvia.com/classifieds/
  5. It takes a confident man to say that on a skyline forum! A stagea with a 1JZvvti would be like a boss!!
  6. Stageas are becoming a VERY popular car to steal. Apparently 3 stolen in the last week alone in Adelaide. Makes sense really; an incredibly easy car to hotwire, a quick getaway car plenty of room for stolen plasmas to load into the rear when these f**k heads take them on their crime spree. Im locking my front gate every night until my alarm comes in that i ordered. These nobs are literally looking for stags parked on quiet streets to target. Sorry its verging a little off topic but just emphasizing how important it is to get a car alarm installed on our cars.
  7. Gday all, Signed up to the forums a couple of days ago but have been trolling the stagea discussion thread for over a month now and have just bought a series 2 RS4 dayz. It's great to see a car that's still (relatively) rare on the road but with SO much information and support from enthusiasts. My background is an auto electrical trade (which i pulled the pin on after 5 years a couple of years ago) so i'm hoping to contribute as best I can to the forum. Also if anyone needs some clarification with SA road laws and motor vehicle regulations I will also help as best as I can. I'm still a noob when it comes to Stageas but the discussion pretty much covers everything so i cant see my self not being bale to find information when I need it!. It was a big step for a Toyota enthusiast driving a JZX100/1JZ to cross over to the Nissan/RB scene but I couldn't be happier with my new set of wheels!
