  1. lmao... nice work there... too bad the site doesnt really exist
  2. travelling 70k in a 70k zone is perfectly legal (if im not mistaken) but it seems that the cops were quite quick to come to the conclusion that it was a "racing accident". If what the honda driver is saying is true then it appears to be nobody's fault... a genuine accident. The only factor which killed the 2 passengers was the lack of experience of the driver for his car
  3. i just dont see how drag racing with a full car can be justified as a "mistake". How could any sane human being even contemplate the idea of putting other peoples lives in danger (including his own). Im just angry that stuff like this happens. I dont care if the dude killed himself if he was racing, that would be totaly his choice and his problem but i dont think the other passenger deserved it. Nobody has the right to put others lives in danger Things like this give all imports a bad name and ruin it for those who do the right thing
  4. yea i noticed that too. But some newpapers are also calling it a nissan sedan not a skyline
  5. i dont see how anyone could feel sorry for the driver... Here are the facts which i have accumulated from the internet and newspapers: - He was apparently racing a Honda... illegal in itself (speeding) - He was driving a modded skyline R33 definetly WAYYYY over the legal limit but what bothers me most is this... - He was with 3 other friends in the car, he risked not only his own life but the lives of 3 other people (sadly one in fact died, one of the rear passengers) How can you possibly feel sorry for him??
  6. i think the power to weight ratio law should be changed. Under the current system if you mod an R32 gtst to 500rwkw (exaggerated to prove a point) it is still legal coz the cops only look at the stock power figure. They dont seem to enforce it on P platers and most likely the R33 involved in the crash wasnt stock (can anyone clarify this??(
  7. if im not mistaken an R32 gtst is legal under P's and it is a turbo skyline
  8. http://www.greenline.jp/ great site for parts
  9. installation took about 2 hours with some diccussions... the cables set me back $30 (79.95 at strathfield). 600Watts RMS 4 channel wiring kit... enough for both my 600Watt subs no hassels. The sound is clear and no distorsion from the subs whatsoever (cant say the same for my stock 6*9's which will be going soon) So anyway... j, if you are worried bout damaging your carpet from the wiring, a pro at a decent price is worth every cent in my opinion
  10. heres a question... you buy an R32 gtst (which is legal under your P's) and put in a nice turbo of sorts etc... would the cops still look at the stock power figure even if its pulling out 300rwkw??
  11. lol... chances are that they know each other
  12. that ads been posted on jspec for a couple of weeks now... but the car is a very unique example and looks good for a 15 year old car
  13. lol... if you think $70 is steep then go to Strathfield, those guys wanted $140 just for the cable installation. For $70 everything got installed, neat and tidy and everything looks immaculate... the amp was mounted on the back a sub box and all the wires in the boot are concealed... there's no way i could do a job that good... very happy with the job
  14. hmmm... models seem like an excellent calendar idea how soon can this be arranged??
  15. i got my subs professionally installed. The guy did the subs, amp and all the wiring for $70. Did a fantastic job, pulled the car apart but put it together 100%. Doesnt even look like anything was touched. If your worried about ripping up your insides then get it installed by a pro... running them under the car doesnt seem like a good idea but could work
  16. but funny
  17. has anyone here actually been told by the cops that their car was too powerful for P's or dont they take that law seriously? It appears that they dont seem to care whether R33 GTST's are legal or not
  18. welcome to melbourne
  19. that could be possible but it seems unlikely that the cops wouldnt be into this by now. What im trying to understand is why they use power figures from the factory (at the flywheel) and not at the wheels? I understand that getting these kind of figures would be a problem but it seems like an inaccurate measure of the cars true power
  20. this is a good site: http://www.sign-fx.com.au/catalog/index.php lots of designs to look at
  21. i heard that the police are now storing graffiti tags on a database and using it as evidence if they ever catch these punks doing something again. Dunno where i heard it but it could be a diff state. Feel sorry forr ya bro
  22. you better go on the next cruise coz then another SAU member can slap some sense into you... enjoy your line dude, dont take it for granted
  23. next time ill put something in... but i dont think itll compete with some of these
  24. damn, they're going all out on this one... they really want your $$$
  25. is the enclosure space behind the wall large enough? i have those exact subs and they need at least 1cf of space so i just got em with proffesionally made boxes designed for the subs. Congrats on a good job though but you need some grills for em but so do i. Does anyone know where i can get some cheap grills for the VCCS subs??
