At the moment it has no exhaust, but ill need to get one for rego (damn.) What is a good exhaust for me? I want something thatll bring out the sound of the engine more than the exhaust if you know what i mean. Don't want a ricer farty sound, more like a rumble. Is it the law to have a cat now? even though my car is from before cats? looks like ill have to get one built up custom.

maybe so, but if you have a little old corolla that you bought for $1000, and it didn't really mean anything if you wrote it off, wouldn't you thrash it to bits? Ive got friends who do.. I still think that if you have worked your ass of for years so you could buy a r33 ect, i think you would be rather protective of it. maybe not, but its a bit different if the car was given to you. you didn't have to work so hard for it so you may not appreciate it as much. still, i think most people hwo have been given their cars on this forum would appreciate it, as an entheusiast.. yes in the end, it comes down to the induvidual.

my neighbor has a black hq with no exhaust... damn its loud. hes so crazy, he does donuts in his paddock with it and thrashes the piss out of it. its so funny. back on topic, an old falcadore would be the best bet to use as a daily driver.. old falcons are some of the ugliest cars ive ever seen

my dad bought an old hilux 4wd for about 3k and it needed a bit of work, which cost about 2k. It has your typical 4wd extras, spoittes, bullbar, suspension lift ect. Its bloody bulletproof. 380000 on the clock (and it looks like its been wound back) and still starts first time everytime. drags its ass abit but it has the goods to tow. not the most comfortable car (especially with three piled in) but if you were able to track down a duel cab it wouldnt be too bad. wouldnt want one as a daily driver though, no air con and lovely blue vynil. plus the cost of petrol is rediculous..oh well at least deisels use less fuel. another idea would be a old v8 one tonner.

My project car has a old weber carburettor, but its missing the auto choke assembly. i haven't fired the engine yet, and im not going to until i know its alright. The Autochoke is long gone, so im hoping theres another way around it. Could the motor run without it? Could i just manually open the choke butterfly? or is it important that it has the autochoke? I don't really feel like tracking down new parts for a 30 year old carburettor, because I think that the price would be similar to being raped in the ass. Im in a bit of a spot. can anyone help me out here? the model is a Weber 32/36 DGAV, which appears to be used on old cortinas ect..

hello all On the weekend I bought a aus spec c210 coupe. It was the previous owners project car, which he left half finished. It has the orginal L24 in it, with a brand new set of extractors and a weber carb. the ignition has been upgraded to electric. the motors not running, but will with a little work. It has a half finished manual conversion; the box has been put in and the driveshaft connected. The clutch cylinder and pedal are not yet installed. The body work is really good. Its had all the rust removed and a general straightening. It looks like your typical datsun, with patchy paint the interior is pretty good. it has the original steering wheel and the ultra cool space age gauges..theyve really grown on me. :aroused: the wirings a mess, itll be the biggest and hardest part of the project. best part was that it came with, literally, a trailer load of parts. i have heaps of spares, some of which i wont be using. If any fellow c210 owners need any parts, i might have them. of course the parts I need i cant find in the pile, so Ill be looking for some later. It also came with an Rb30e motor with all of the engine bay parts for a conversion. i don't have the time and experience to adapt a EFI car to a old one, and patching up the orginal wiring just so it works will be enough for me. Im selling all of the VL/R31 parts. Did this car belong to anyone on this forum? has anyone seen it before? Ill need some advice putting it back together so ill be hanging around here for a bit.. thanks guys
