So the exhaust from a r33 GTR will be a direct fit onto the GTT? Saw a cheap X-force 3" cat back coming off a 33 GTR. Will i be able to fit it on my GTT?
-
big pipes!! There's a nismo cat back i'm looking at that came off a BNR34. Will it fit onto my GTT without modification, or is the underbody completely different?
-
sweet thanks guys. It's a private seller, and he's listed the features: 3" @ Flange 3.5" Pipe Througout* 4.75" Resonator 6.5" Cannon* 5.25" Tip Maybe he's also just measured the OD and it's really 3" ID for the pipes? Also just wondering, will a R34 GTR exhaust system fit onto the GTT?
-
Yeh, i'm looking at a Fujitsubo Legalis Super R at the moment. It's 3.5" piping. Considering I don't really have any other power mods at the moment (except for a MBC), will the 3.5" piping be too big? Like, will i not gain as much power from having 3.5" than I would if i had a 3" with my current setup? I don't plan on getting a new turbo or ECU yet, due to lack of funds, but i understand the 3.5" would be great for when i do upgrade those. But yeh, just wondering if the 3.5 is too big for me atm, and if i will lose some gains as opposed to having a 3".

SOO, i was about to buy a kakimoto regu 06&R second hand, however after reading the serial plate on it (N21354R) i realised this is a 70mm pipe, 2.5". Just to confirm, the stock 34 GTT exhaust is 2.5" already right? Which means in buying this cat back system, I'd just be wasting my money and won't achieve any power from the same diameter pipes? The seller posted it as a 3" system, however I'm assuming he measured only the outer diameter of the pipes.

Hey guys, I'm looking to purchase a Kakimoto regu 06&R cat back system, and was just wondering how much they weigh approximately? Or if nobody has that information, what are the average weights of a cat back system for a r34 GTT? I'm organising my own courier, so will need to know weight and dimensions of the package. thanks!

Saw a 32 on Sunnyholt today, up near Stanhope Gardens side. Was a unique silver colour. Very neat!! Plates were something along the lines of BNU-xxx

Thanks for the diagram. I understand it's the window stopper, but to hold them together, is just a bolt, washer, and nut?
-
Thanks Marcus, I will shoot you over a PM when I'm ready to order do you have prices for the LED replacement bulbs?
-
Hey all, Was cleaning my car today and found this underneath the driver's seat. Only thing i can read off it is the english part. Can someone please translate the japanese bits? On the RHS, it has a low/hi volume adjustment, and also a switch for setting 1 and 2. I'm not sure what each setting means (currently set on 2). thanks!

OHhhhhh right! Yeh my window tint isn't too bad. I think it was 35% or something... Yeh, i should probably join as a SAU member so i know when cruises/events are. I never know when the skyline ones are on I'm from Stanhope area. See plenty of 33's roaming around here lol. Anyways! Hope to get some LED's in soon and brighten up my sky's booty
-
Alright sweet! The connector that comes with both panels is direct plug & play? The tint on my reverse lights aren't too dark. Had a good look after i put the tint film on, and it showed up fine. It wasn't that expensive tint, just cheap ones from ebay because i had some left over. Did the job of a small addition to my murdered out look lol. But i actually might take them off seeing as though I do like the crystal look of a clean reverse light! btw darksky, where abouts in nsw are you from? I haven't seen a lot of other black 34's roaming the streets.
-
Sweet thanks! Simple as soldering the 2 pos and neg wires together from each panel, and soldering them to the main pos and neg of the original connector...right? I vaguely remember seeing this around somewhere on these forums, but didn't take too much interest til now lol. I've tinted my reverse lights, so brighter LED's would be perfect for actual illumination when reversing at night.
-
Sweet, thanks for the info. Will defs get it done when i get the time. With the pack of SMD's to convert the reverse lights, will i need to modify it, or will it be straight replacement? I see on the store that he sells dome light LED;s, which I'm assuming is a straight replacement of the original? Would like to see how bright they are first before i get some though I've changed my interior dash and climate control, HID headlights, and parkers so far.

Yeh I have, just never knew people swapped tail light bulbs. Come to think of it, it's a pretty obvious thing to do lol *stupidme* Do you know what type bulbs the tails were? T10? I replaced one bulb before, but that was a while ago. Aaaaand i know i asked before, but.... pics? haha
-
where did you get the LED's? ebay? was it a straight replacement of the filament bulb? never knew that was an option! lol
-
lol i dont get it. you said you dont want LED's, but you just swapped out to LED's? Got a pic of them on by any chance?
-
hmmk.. note taken. its not actually dented, just looks that way because of my crap job before to mask it, but it is a metallic black im pretty sure. Know approx how much it will cost from a body shop?
-
charles, i'll get back to you! definately interested. Shinobi, where did you get yours from? or did you also DIY? i love the look of using the stock plastic.
-
thanks heaps for the instructions! will do it when i get the chance. is the scuff pad just to take off the clear? i did a spray job on a side window cover but only did half of it because that was the affected area. But when i finished with the clear and took the masking tape off, there was a line left where the newly painted area was a bit higher than the other half. Is the scuff pad used to prevent this happening? thanks again!

uhk yeh, been looking in the classifieds.. not too many for 34's, but i'll keep an eye out. Not too sure where i can find a wreckers here in nsw for jap cars.. anyone know of any? I know there's skylinespares in wetherill park, but havent had the chance to call em up yet.

hey all, Had a scrape last year on my rear left fender (right next to the driver's door) I made a ridiculous decision and tried to fix it by sanding and touch up paint (yeh i know. stupid me!) and now it sticks out like a sore thumb. I had a look at it today again and couldn't actually see it as a separate panel to respray. It looks like it's all one part with the roof of the car and pillar coming down the front. Is this the case, or am i blind? lol how hard would it be to respray this section, or would i need the whole roof and stuff resprayed as well?
-
what wrecker did you go to for skyline bits? Might give them a visit over the next few weeks and see if i can find one. Otherwise, i don't mind paying for a new setup... As i said earlier, my mate got his custome made from Performance exhaust in Northmead (I've heard good things about that place) for about 1.2k for his s15.
