Where Can I Buy This Front Bumper
suwidji replied to NISMO.SKYLINE's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
i heard carmate isn't the best place to buy parts..... correct me if i'm wrong though. I just vaguely remember reading it somewhere. I'm not too sure about where to find one of these front bars in VIC, but i know justjap have them in NSW. http://justjap.com/store/product.php?productid=17379&cat=&page=1 I'm not 100% sure, but i think this is the GTR style one because it doesn't have the side vents that you said you wanted. I'm also curious where to find a TS front bar with the vents. I want one too lol. -
Yeh, i wouldn't want to vinyl wrap it. It's in a place that would look weird wrapped and hard to do :\
-
LOL exactly the way i feel when i have to open it up again. One of my globes flickered too, had to pull the legs out a little to have more contact and stay put.
-
I agree!! I also have the same problem with scratches (not too deep, but annoying they're there) whilst i was pulling the dash out to change head unit, do some wiring work, replacing cluster bulbs etc. It's like the head unit is forced to hang on the wires and rest up against/rub up against the dash material and scratch it. Even with towels there, i find it was hard to work with lol, got in the way a lot of the time. So a rag and shoe polish is the best option there is?

I found a good cheap boost controller for $22!!!
suwidji replied to CEF11E's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
lol how did you manage to lose the bolt and spring? Was it installed in your car when you realised? -
All fixed! I was too conservative with turning the adjustment screw, so basically it was reading low/stock lol. I turned it in a bit more and played around with it to achieve 10
-
I installed the turbo tech MBC as instructed from a thread here on SAU, and before the install i was hitting around 8psi. But now installed, it only reaches 6 psi and no higher :s i tried adjusting the controller, but not too much, but it still only reaches 6

blue r33 yesterday afternoon in blacktown westpoint carpark. White r34 green P-plater yesterday (or 2 days ago) coming out from breakfast road and into woodcroft area
-
haha try a black car. As soon as you clean it, park it back in the garage, there's dirt all over it again but from afar, it's still clean anywayss, so people don't think we're gone off topic... saw maroon 33 GTS on Power street this morning at Glendenning drove too fast to give a wave lol.
-
no i haven't tried that. That would explain it though... if the amps are too high, would soldering a few resistors together fix it up?
-
*bump?
-
yeh same, i see a lot around here! you got a white 34 sedan? I'll keep a look out! i got a black 34 coupe dumped on black rims lol. can't see it at night though, accident prone in a non well-lit area
-
from the most recent pages, nobody is spotting around the west lols. Good to see a few around here. I always spot a white 33 and s15 parked on glendenning road when i go to work! look like sleepers lol.

sorry to bring this thread alive again, but it's regarding the guage. it works fine and everything, but the one thing i didn't get time to hook up was the light switch wire. So i tried hooking it up today and tapped into the cigarette lighter light, so that the backlight of the gauge would only turn on when my headlights are on. HOWEVER, for some reason when i turn on the light (one click to turn the parker lights and interior dash lights on), the fuse blows up! The 10A fuse underneath the bonnet that's labelled on the fuse box cover as "Head L RH" keeps blowing up. I've replaced it 4 times now, and i don't know why it's doing that Shouldn't tapping into the cigarette lighter light work? :s P.S I've tried opening up the steering wheel column and finding a wire to tap into when the light is switched on, but the looms are crazy tight and i can't access any wires.
-
Got it installed today! wiring was a bit all over the place lol, but done in the end. I'm not sure about its accuracy because it's basically reading the same (but showing im boosting a bit less) than stock. Need to find a trusted gauge to calibrate it next to lol. cheers for the info guys. P.S is it just me, but whenever i'm working on my car taking stuff apart and putting new stuff in, something that was in my hand 2mins ago just goes missing for like the next 10mins? lol
-
lol, i know *shame*

HMM ok, but the sensor only has one nipple on it. How am i supposed to attach the hose from the T, and then attach another hose to the gauge if there isn't anywhere to run the hose from? lol The sensor comes with a wiring loom, hopefully i don't run into trouble hooking that up..
-
But the gauge i bought is mechanical, it isn't electronic :\ this is the ebay link to it http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/400336875504?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_5644wt_1139 lol, oh man i'm so confused now...
-
I also receieved a boost sensor in the pack, but I'm not sure if I need to install it, seeing that I'm running the vac line from my stock boost sensor??
-
Oh serious? I don't have a nipple on the back of mine, it's just a hole... Would i be able to buy a nipple and attach it from super cheap or bunnings? Looks like this
-
I received my boost gauge today but I'm having a lot of trouble installing it. I've taken the hose that connects from the throttle body to the boost sensor, out of the boost sensor and put my T piece there. I have a short hose connecting the T-piece back to the sensor and the last hose attached to the T-piece is the one that runs to the gauge. The hose supplied to me had a larger diameter than the hole drilled into the back of the gauge, so i carefully used a screwdriver and incresed its diameter so that the hose fits tightly inside. Now... if I have done anything wrong so far, let me know. For the electricals... I got really confused. I don't have a screwdriver long enough to reach up into the steering wheel column and get the 4 screws that require a pretty thin and long neck lol. SO what i decided to TRY to do was connect it through the fuse box under the bonnet. I tried putting the red wire (manual says it's supposed to go to ignition (12V)) to the 30A "ignition" fuse and grounded the gauge on a bolt on the chasis inside the car. When i turn on the car, i hear a lot of air going into the gauge through the house, but when i increase the throttle, the gauge doesn't work Please help!! P.S there are 2 other wires on the gauge harness (yellow one = standard ignition, white one = ignition light?) I don't have a multimeter so I can't test what wire is active when the car is on, or when the lights are turned on.. but i can always tap into the cigarette lighter light i guess.

damn! that sucks big ball sack. Same thing happened to me on the m4 last year when i had my old car. Bastard was merging into my lane whilst i was beeping the crap out of my horn, and i didnt want to hit him at 110km/h so i swerved to the left, broke hard and car lost control. Was heading straight for the metal barrier with the mrs in the passenger seat, but controlled it enough to just swipe the side. AAAAAANNNND the bastard just kept driving. ANYWAYS, pizza run? what? can i come toooooooo

is there another group buy open for this, or do i need to source it out myself now? lol And has anyone applied this lip to a black r34?? I want to see what it looks like before i do it haha
