Im looking to buy a black r34 GT-T Top Secret front bumper (with lip if you have, but not a necessity). Please pm me if anyone has one for sale! thanks!
-
hey mate, just wondering where you got the LED's for your dash? I got mine from jaycar but there's hot and cold spots. I've tried contacting 666DAN because I heard he's a good supplier for any LED, but he hasn't contacted me back. thanks! lighting on the footwells look sick too!

R34 Gtt Removal Of Rear Shocks
suwidji replied to mature gent's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
is it a must to remove the shocks on the rears to install the springs? Watching a few videos, some cars only require removing one bolt and nut (for the back wheels) and the spring can easily be taken out from there instead of removing the whole shock assembly. I have king springs coming in soon and also want to install them myself, haven't been able to find a thread that actually takes you step by step through it for a r34 GTT though. -
yeh i did a search but couldn't seem to find my answer. I don't doubt this has probably been mentioned or even asked before, but I just couldn't seem to find it. Anyways, I did end up finding it thanks to everyone that helped baby steps for me lol. I'll be sure to shoot you up with questions that I have Mat, thanks again.

hey guys, Was looking under my hood today (STOCK r34 gtt) and i was just wondering where the location of the turbo is found? Does the stock turbo look like any other snail shaped turbo? I can't seem to locate it lol. I know it's probably a really stupid question, but i must know! thanks

Short Shifter Advice
suwidji replied to suwidji's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
yeh that's what i was thinking. a short shifter usually has the same length as the original shifter right? The difference is the pivot point which reduces the throw. Anyways, anybody know where I can get one? -
Short Shifter Advice
suwidji replied to suwidji's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
haha, i don't want to go ghetto DIY on my car and cut it down... will that even work? (not that I would even try if it does!) looking for a proper kit to install -
I'm looking at getting a short shifter, but I can't seem to find a place to get them in Sydney (I'm probably not looking hard enough, but I've done my fair share of google searching lol) Anyone know where I can get one for my r34 GT-T? I heard the japspeed short shifter kit was good, lots of guides on how to install it too- any others and where to buy them? I have no idea where to get the japspeed one though, because everytime I search it up, it always takes me to a UK site. thanks!

are dampers the same as shocks? Also, I would need to get springs specifically for r34 right? And where could I get the springs for the cheapest price? sorry for all the questions, just don't want to stuff up anything, and make sure my car is getting what is deserves lol

I want to lower my r34 gtt. It currently has stock suspension, so factory height- as i want to prepare it to get some decent rims (someone advised me to do my suspension before getting rims) I'm looking at lowering it maybe 25mm. Does anyone know if that's a decent height to make it look good, but not adversely affect my driving? I've been googling around but not sure what brand to get. I don't want anything too expensive (not looking for coilovers because they're out of my price range at the moment), was thinking Tein 'S' tech springs, but I can't seem to find out where they sell them in Australia. If there's any other brand that I can find in Australia, could someone please recommend any? Or any place in Australia that sells the Tein's lol. Thanks!

Te37 Or Varrstoen Offets
suwidji replied to suwidji's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
my car is pretty much stock, so not low at all. In terms of a small offset, does it give a more concave look? Also, how much approximately is rolling of guards (if i dont need it for these rims, then maybe in the future if i get my car lowered or something so i know a general price) thanks for the info guys -
Te37 Or Varrstoen Offets
suwidji replied to suwidji's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
ohok, I was thinking of actually getting 17x9.5 +22 for now, basically because I just bought new tyres a few months ago and i dont want to spend on a whole new set of tyres. But in saying that, is +22 a good looking (concave) offset that wont require guard rolling, or would it require some work? I'm also a little confused. I haven't actually measure the width of my stock rims atm, but my tyres say its 235mm wide, which is 9.25inches when i googled it. Would that make my rims 17x9 or 17x9.5? thanks -
ok thanks! i'll keep that in mind for next time, or whenever i need to get any hoses off haha
-
thanks guys, I finally did it. I guess i wasnt pulling (and twisting) hard enough before haha. But yeh, all good now, replaced and no leaks i didnt bother taking out the fuse either, still couldnt find it lol. I just opened the fuel cap to relieve some pressure.
-
I'm trying to replace my fuel filter on my 98 r34 GTT, but I've stumbled on 2 things. 1. I do not know where the fuse is that drives the fuel pump, so I can't depressurize the fuel line 2. The hose on the old fuel filter is on SO damn tight that it wont even budge no matter how hard i pull. It's like the clamp squeezed the hose on so tight to the filter, as if it's been heatshrunk. Anybody got any tips to as how I'd go about changing my filter? It's so frustrating! I don't want to go to a mechanic either, kinda want to do it on my own. thanks
-
I've tried finding the fuse in the fuse box, but im not sure which one it is- there's no "fuel pump" written on it. Sorry I'm reall bad at finding out where things are in my car, but I'm trying to learn where everything is to better understand.
-
haha, alright i'll check it out thanks! Also, do you know anything about fuel filter replacement? I'm not sure how to depressurize the fuel line, i don't want a shot of petrol to the face haha.
-
thanks pipster, I'll probably go that option because it's cheaper than the Nulon one. I called up the local Repco and they said they don't stock GW synx, is there any other place i can get it?
-
OH sorry, disregard the fuel cap question. I'm assuming its the cap you undo when filling petrol lol. But which fuse is the one for the fuel pump? I'm correct in needing to depressurize the fuel line first before replacing the filter right?
-
oh ok thanks, yeh i went to supercheap and it was pretty pricey for the Nulon one. just a question regarding the fuel filter change, where is the fuel cap? I read that if i undo the cap, the pressure when removing the old filter will be a lot less and less fuel will come out. Also, which one is the fuel pump fuse? I can't find the location in the fuse box. This is what my fuse box looks like, not sure what to look for, but i didnt see anything that says fuel pump or similar. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v309/aznspec/fusebox.jpg

oh yep, i see it! big black thing, didn't spot it earlier cos there were lots of hoses in the way. thanks heaps!
