  1. haha, guess im hitting up SCA today
  2. cool cool, i'll just wait for the confirmation lol. where are you getting the sensor adaptor from btw?
  3. amazing work! Got a $ amount to put to the work?
  4. needed to know this also! Kieran, if you buy it today can you confirm it's the right size? Looking to grab one in the new year.
  5. price drop - $180 BUMP BUMP! willing to post at buyer's expense
  6. under engine splash guard? passneger and drive splash guard available?
  7. Pair of r34 LED smoked tail lights for sale. The passenger side has a small piece missing (outlined in the photos) but it does not affect the performance or fastening of the light into the housing, nor does it leak. $200 pickup Stanhope Gardens area, NSW.
  8. yeh, my soldering skills are very low quality haha. burnt through my pants whilst soldering one time in the car. I'm running a sandwich plate. cheapest option for me at the time and easy to install.
  9. As i mentioned, you can run them to the wires of your head unit as well if they're too short. But also, if you dont like soldering, i recommend using connectors. That's the route i've gone down nowdays when working with electrical components in the car lol. Less risk to eff up! All good, happy to help! I sometimes have a hard time finding stuff that has been "covered numerous times before" also lol.
  10. I merged all of the similar wires together near the gauges by cable tying em together, then ran them all to the splice grouped together (so all power wires together, all ground wires together, and all switch wires together). It's probably not the "best" way to do it, but it's not as messy as I've had my electricals before. I kept them all grouped together with cable ties along the way from the gauges to the splice lol. I'm not very electrically minded either, so i don't know what's best practice, but this has worked for me. I've only recently replaced my triple cluster as well.
  11. I just spliced into the cigarette lighter power (you can also splice into head unit power wire) and grounded it to the head unit or a bolt near the shifter. For the switch wire i spliced into the cigarette lighter wire when u turn on the parker lights.
  12. WOW u have 3 sets?!?! can i have one for free, charity case? haha looks great, though too pricy for me. free bump! goodluck
  13. devastated i missed out. looked like a successful turn out. As above post, when's the next big skyline event?
  14. awesome, thank you! Cruising i was getting between 55-60 psi, so seems about right around the 4 bar mark
  15. Thanks everyone, i did some more digging around because my instructions said to connect the 2 terminals to the same thing lol.. or i just read it wrong. Anyways, i grounded 1 terminal and the other went to the sensor wire on my gauge. All running good now Last question, what is normal operating pressure? My gauge is digital reading in PSI. When i put my foot down whilst the car isn't in gear, it shoots to about 89 PSI, whilst on the stock oil pressure gauge in the dash, it only hits up to 5 which is converted to about 71 PSI. When in idle, it's reading around 26-27 PSI. It's a few psi different from what it reads on the stock gauge, but i've also heard the stock one isn't too accurate.
  16. I just opted to get a sandwich plate. Not bothered to go through the trouble of locating that plug with the engine in. So i've got this oil pressure sender, http://images.esellerpro.com/2347/I/946/3/lrgLP1017.0%20-%202012.JPG i know the bottom end connects to a sandwich plate port, but im not sure how to hook up the 2 ports on the other side of this sender (with the 2 black caps). Where do these need to be connected to, and with what? :\ i've tried looking around, but couldn't find an answer. People's DIYs just stop at installing the sender onto the sandwich plate.
  17. So i went under to have a look at where this plug is.. but not sure what I'm looking for. Here's a photo of the filter, oil cooler behind it, and a small attachment om it which has some sort of plug covered in a rubber boot thing. Where do I put my sender? Or am I looking wrong...?
  18. ok cool, i've heard it's NPT but i'll get both just in case. Standard part to get at bunnings? im changing my oil anyway today, so i'll do it then. Is there a cap i need to take off the valve before putting the extender on? will oil start gushing out? lol
  19. kk thanks! will be changing my oil this weekend and hopefully chuck it on. where can i get this extender for the oil plug behind the filter? so im not cluelessly walking into bunnings or wherever. ALSO, does anyone know the diameter i need for the water temp adaptor? Not sure what the radiator hose size is, and only way to find out is if i take it off...which i would rather not do cos i wont have a car to drive to the shops to buy one with lol.
  20. wait, so unplugging this connector does the job? bit confused on what u said in the last bit of your post
  21. Is the stock plug easy to find behind the stock cooler/filter? Also, do i need to drain engine oil before i install any extender onto it for the sensor? Haven't had a look to see where this plug is yet so not really sure what to look for.
  22. http://justjap.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=sandwich+plate nope, they're sandwich plate attachments lol $250
  23. awesome, thanks! so.. no sandwich plate required? Had a look on justjap and their sandwich plate kits are like $200
  24. Not really sure what the stock oil cooler looks like. Do you have a pic of it? Also, would this mean i won't need a sandwich plate? For the water temp sensor, is this the little adaptor you're talking about? http://justjap.com/autogauge-water-temp-sender-adapter-30mm.html How does it work? Kind of like a t-piece with radiator hose on either side, and the temp sensor fitting in the small hole in the middle of the adaptor? cheers mate.
