  1. Car washed and ready to go away to get fixed tomorrow.
  2. Great ocean road is an awesome drive but it's only 50km an hour I think.
  3. Down to Melbourne and then onto tassie for a day and back again can be done over 2-3 days. It is a trip I have not done in a while but one I really enjoyed. Lot's of awesome stuff crammed onto that little island.
  4. http://www.nengun.com/tomei/stroker-kit-nissan-skyline-rb25-26-28l This might fix it?
  5. I am hoping to get the nistune tuned at autotech put in before I go...if not i'll have to search in melbourne.
  6. Out of all your pictures i like the Anthrax poster the most. Also awesome work, i have always wanted to do that but been too lazy.
  7. I might come out for a bit. I'll see how i feel after dinner and a beer.
  8. I had a clubman panel van with a 998 in it with remote shifter and 1.25'' SU carb. My old man is such a mini nit he got a hydrolastic machine restored so he could change his own fluids. It was probably even slower than my alfa 33 but it was just as fun as the skyline is.
  9. PM and message sent Bryce.
  10. My first car was a mini.
  11. I have probably seen more cars break down on the skid pan than at Wakefield.
  12. Genuine nismo centre caps arrived from Japan with new nismo stickers so i went on over to my folks and chucked them on. Also fitted up the front bar and under tray. Booked the tow for 7am Monday morning and put 3 months rego on it. Fingers crossed will ready by Friday when I head to Melbourne for a few days.
  13. Spent the last few days putting in new exhaust studs, cometic exhaust gasket, new turbo gasket kit from Nissan with washers for hard lines into turbo, a low km r34 turbo with intact exhaust wheel. Also today my genuine nismo centre caps for the lmgt4's rocked up along with nismo stickers. Car gets picked up on monday morning to go to the panel shop, booked in for a new windscreen when it comes out and just put 3 months rego on it. Should have it back before I move to melbourne Have some more pictures. low km turbo that i put a 10psi r32 actuator on. cometic gasket on with new studs and engine covers painted black (took a few heat cycles for the smoke off the paint to stop) centre caps and stickers ready to put the bonnet on tomorrow and maybe give it a wash before it goes into the shop. After doing the exhaust manifold gasket and turbo gaskets (some of the nuts were finger tight) as well as the oxygen sensor, AFM and throttle body clean, new plugs and cleaned out a stack of plugs with contact cleaner the throttle is so much more responsive, the miss on idle is gone and the exhaust is louder. SOOOO keen to drive it now.
  14. Yeah sweet, i assumed glass would be easy enough to find. I was more worried about the trim and a possible 10 week wait or something. Might give them a call today. Thanks fellahs.
  15. Does anyone happen to know how hard it is to get a windscreen for an R34? Mine has a crack and i think i might get it fixed before it goes in... can i reuse the original trim or can you get those as well?
  16. So it's actually hit me I am finally leaving Canberra in the next month or so. Fingers crossed my car will be on the road for the move. When is the next SAU Vic meetup ?
  17. I am not sure if I will be in Melbourne by then or not Will try to make at though. All my new suspension should be in by then.
  18. NO LEAKS NO RATTLES NO MISFIRE!!!!! It idles so nicely and i fixed so many things the last few weeks i have no idea what actually caused it. Just need to throw on the bumper and bonnet ready for the tow on monday. So keen to drive it. SO KEEN.
  19. CAR GOES IN ON MONDAY I MIGHT ACTUALLY GET TO DRIVE IT TO MELBOURNE FOR THE MOVE!!! I am glad they are replacing the bonnet because I broke a bonnet stud
  20. Wasn't there intact...it was lots of small pieces. Looking at the other blades it looks like it came off bounced around the other fins got chopped into little bits and the rest turned to dust. from what i could see anyway...i might take the cat off tomorrow bang it on the ground and make sure.
  21. Yeah..... don't want to break another exhaust wheel before I get a good ecu and turbo.
  22. Wow...they look nice.
  23. Thanks man. The R32 actuator i got off you points a different way to the 34 one so ill have to take over some tomorrow. So much evidence of exhaust leaking from the turbo flange and some of the manifold nuts were finger tight. I imagine my exhaust will be much louder now There is something weird going on with the stock boost control solenoid. One of the hoses(top one i think) is blocked off with a screw and the bottom one runs to the air recirculation pipes. No ideas what's going on there :S I'll work out which wire i need to earth tomorrow as well.
  24. New studs in (had to clean up the nuts with a tap as they were binding on the new studs), cometic exhaust gasket on and new turbo gaskets on and lines hooked up Time to head home and finish a job application and come back tomorrow and fill it with fresh oil and coolant, hook up the dump pipe and exhaust and start it to check for leaks.
