  1. Could the jets just be clogged and/or misaligned? You can use a piece of thin wire like a guitar string to clean them and use a pin or sewing needle to align them where you want the water to spray. Google "clean windscreen washer jets" and some how-to videos should come up.
  2. Just opened my front door to see a large flat parcel sliding towards me. Awesome packaging - definitely no chance of breakage, especially given the last few seconds of its trip to me. Can't wait to install it. Thanks heaps for organising this Cameron. It's much appreciated. Cheers
  3. Spotted again a black C34 S2 Stagea with black mags on Yass Rd Queanbeyan NSW yesterday (15 Aug) at about 0830. SA plates - must be more than just visiting as I saw it in the same spot a few weeks ago.
  4. Well, I've given up on the GoPoint Cable (Scotty was right - it didn't work). The PNM35, even thought it is newer, is still not OBDII compliant . The cable didn't even work on a VT Commodore, although it did work on a VZ. I then tried a mates Scangauge and it didn't work on the Stag either. Oh and on a side note I think I need to brush up on my multimeter skills. I have since checked Pin 16 again and it actually has a constant 12 volts. Also the pin layout of the OBD connector is the same as CAN Bus (http://plxdevices.com/obd/) if that means anything. Anyway, I have since purchased the ECUDatascan (http://www.ecudatascan.com.au/home.html), which supports Nissan Consult, and it actually works . I get 21 parameters including water temp, air temp and speed. Interestingly, as this unit has a built in GPS, I was able to display both ECU speed and GPS speed and they are almost the same, whereas the speedo is 10% out. Unfortunately, it doesn't display any fuel mileage parameters, which is what I was really hoping for. I think the ECUDatascan is capable of displaying them, so I'm guessing the OBD port doesn't support these PIDs, unless someone knows otherwise. To get fuel consumption, maybe it would be easier to retrofit the factory display and computer . It was fairly easy retrofitting the trip computer from a Skyline Silhouette into my R31 wagon. In the meantime I will just continue using Road Trip (manual entry) on my iPhone. Otherwise it seems like a good unit. It can display graphs, digital or analogue gauges, check engine codes and can even do track times. There is also a cable available which allows it to plug into the early Skylines and I assume C34 Stageas. Here is a pic of the unit.

  7. If that sticker relates to it, then Google Translate says it is "Remote starter? Main SW". So I'm guessing if you have a remote that will remotely start your engine, then this switch switches this function on or off. This is just my guess though.
  8. Sorry to be a pain, but is it too late to join in on this group buy? I fully understand if it is and am happy to source it myself. I didn't think I had the money but now I do.
  9. Caught a glimpse of a silver M35 just before 6pm heading up Sutton Rd just outside Queanbeyan NSW. Had what appeared to be snowboards on the roof - probably returning from an awesome time at the snow.
  10. (ACT) On Friday arvo, 3 Aug, at about 5pm I saw a neat silver C34 at the roundabout near Duntroon Golf Course heading towards Fyshwick.
  11. Isn't this the rear of it on page 33? The silver one with the dirty rear window parked in front of the other "awesome".
  12. The label on my AR-X says 225/55R18 97H (which is 705mm dia) but the tyres actually on the car (I think they were put on by the dealer I bought the car from) are 235/50R18 101V (which is 692mm dia).
  13. I've put these Aerpro ones in my dome lamps and they're great. Model number SMD85W. I think they were about $30 each. Here they are in my Stag. Not the best photo given it is day, but they don't appear blue and the light output is great especially given the mostly black interior. I reckon they are brighter than the original globes. I just need to get the map lights with the door switch so they come on with the dome lamps as well because the main lamp is positioned further back than normal due to the sunroof. Cheers.
  14. Just spotted a bunch of Stageas and their proud owners on pages 28-33 of Performance Imports No. 150. Great write-up and pics. Looked like an awesome day (apart from the weather).
  15. On Tuesday 10 July around 4:30pm I passed a red C34 S2 on Albatross Road, Nowra Hill NSW. I'm sure you would remember passing me, I was in a white Toyota Camry (rental) - a car as memorable as it is thrilling to drive . Then about a k up the road I saw a silver C34 S2 parked on the side of the road, which I also re-spotted the next morning in the same spot. Probably this one (with the twin sunroofs). Yesterday morning (Friday) about 8:30 I seen a black C34 S2 on Yass Rd Queanbeyan NSW (parked) with SA plates. This time I was in my white R31 wagon, much more enjoyable to drive .
  16. I know this has been covered (probably to death) but I have just bought a GoPoint Technology Cable GL1 www.gopointtech.com to connect my PNM35 to my old iPhone. I was hoping I might get lucky seeing as though my Stagea has the VQ35DE which the US Infiniti G35s have and also it is a bit newer, 2005. Anyway, for any of the apps to first begin even trying to talk they need a power signal. After testing all the pins in the OBDii port there's no voltage on any of them when the engine is running. Should there be power and is there a fuse or something I need to check, or is it simply that the OBDii port pinouts are different. I tested the cable on my brother's Yaris (yeah he's not exactly a car enthusiast) and it works great. I put a multimeter on the pins of the Yaris' OBD2 port and a few of them showed almost 12 volts and one (I think Pin 16) had almost 14 volts with the engine running. All I am after is a simple computer to display basic parameters and in particular mileage. Also the engine check code thing would be good. If this doesn't work, I am going to look into the ECUDatascan www.ecudatascan.com.au which apparently works on R32s to R34s, Silvias etc. Cheers
  17. Yep going by the google translations it definitely is a WC34. Apparently built by students of the Japan Automobile College. Bentley is a custom wind Stagea. Bentley seems amazing sense of weight! ! Hats off to ideas that seemed surprisingly Bentley Mira Gino rear tail lights. Encountered in the local production of the test vehicle caravan (NATS)! ! I was allowed to be taken up close to our vehicle of NATS are known to be showcased in a custom car blowed-away car event every year. Custom car had been exhibited at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2012 was a tremendous leave impressed with any degree of completion. Stagea based in Bentley in the wind! ! Here is the individual based on the type Stagea WC34. The theme is, "Bentley station wagon are sold in the 20s limited world in the past, if you also ... If you are reselling" is. There is some other interesting cars as well. Like this Soarer come DeLorean. Not quite a wagon but definitely whacky. And definitely hats-off to the work that has gone into these.
  18. Doh! I saw a Series 2 and I meant to write S2 but somehow it ended up as S1....... Yeah that would've been me you spoke to about the wheels. You did mention you owned a Stag, I just hadn't made the connection. As for the wheels, I now know what size I'm getting but still need to save some more money. Cheers
  19. I stumbled across these piccies recently and thought they deserved a spot in this thread. The first two are from the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon in January.
  20. Seen a neat looking blue V35 coupe in Queanbeyan today just after 2:30pm parked near the Woolies servo - plates started with KW.... Also seen a black C34 S1 Stagea at Jax Quickfit in Fyshwick earlier today around 11:30am. It had very green wheels - RS4-S's Stag I'm guessing. Looked great.
  21. [Canberra] Seen a black C34 S2 with very green wheels outside Jax Quickfit in Fyshwick today just after 11:30am. Looking very cool.
  22. [Canberra] Seen a neat looking white C34 S1 this arvo (3:30pm) in Gladstone St, Fyshwick, ACT, shopping for furniture I guess.
  23. I have the smart key in mine, but when I turn the ignition all the way to off the headlights turn off and the interior light turns on. If I just turn the motor off and leave it at ACC the headlights stay on until I open the drivers door. Have you checked what happens when you open the door?
  24. I leave my headlights on auto all the time. Only time I manually switch them on is during rain or overcast when it's not quite dark enough for the sensor to trigger, although since I have installed my dashmat they do come on a little bit earlier. The auto feature is great when you enter multi level carparks or similar. I've got so used to them that when I drive my R31 I nearly forget to switch them off. :-) Cheers
  25. Nice Stag mate. I actually reckon blue ARXs are the best, but then I might be a bit biased. The M35s do seem to be big cars but your photo with the VE makes it looks small. Did you have the towbar installed or did it come with it? Would love to see some photos. Given the language conversion is still some time away, an alternative could be to swap out the monitor for the standard pocket and then mount a nav unit that takes a reverse camera input. Or you could do what some Infiniti G35 owners have done and swap the factory monitor for an aftermarket LCD. Here's a link to a thread if you're interested. http://g35driver.com/forums/car-pc/317481-dracovs-carpc-stock-navi-replacement-diy-status-progress.html . The simpliest option though would be to swap the stereo for an aftermarket 7" double DIN that has nav, DVD and reverse camera input. I believe Chris Rogers has brushed aluminium double DIN facias for sale if you dont have it already. Just throwing up some ideas for you to think about. I think any one of these options gives much more flexibility than the factory gear can ever provide (even with a language conversion). Anyway, your Stag looks great and cool number plates as well. Cheers
