Ok well it started off like this, After buying my 1996 Series 2 R33 GTS, i found after having the window down for 30 minutes or so it wouldn't go back up (Did once, after sitting for a while but then stupidly put it back down), thought fine ive read about this its the relay. So i opened up the door, had a very quick look in the relay and couldn't find any bad solders as such. As i was in the market for a Right hand side mirror and the surrounding of the switch controls i decided to purchase a 1996 R33 Series 2 GTS-T Door from this guy http://www.skylinesa...arts-available/, so i could also salvage the relay and window controls, and in the worst case the motor. After opening up the GTS-T's door i found the window controls and they plugged straight into my GTS, The window lock feature, car lock and the passenger side window buttons all work, still the drivers side fails to work, ( The " AUTO " light on the drivers side switch does light up) so i thought it must be the relay. I went to switch over the relays and i had a problem, the GTS-T's Relay has a black and a red wire seem to be coming from it whilst my GTS does not, also the GTS-T's relay is black and my GTS relay is white? They are both 1996 r33 series 2, but one is obviously a gtst and the other a gts. Does anyone know what these wires do? am i able to cut and tape them and connect the gtst relay to my gts? do i have to re-wire anything? All help is appreciated and the window is stuck down. Will try and get pictures of the GTS door but currently only have pics of the gtst's door and the two wires coming off of it.(Comp is f-ing up so cant get pics atm sorry)

Recently a friends ferrari had some damage fixed under insurance, while he was getting the work done he decided to paint the whole car. Before he got the car worked on for prep he didn't notice any lines at all in the rear of the body and sides but after the paint was all stripped off the lines appeared, i think the panel beater did minimal work to make them stand out but not much at all so it may just be to many paint jobs not correctly prepped and just slapped 1 over the other? Not a sprayer but thats just my 2c

They are family friends so i might be able to get them to have a look but if its a hassle ill just go to the local mechanic, Which it's looking like it will be.

Yeah i think they still have the work shop open? Not sure but will check it out.

Alright thanks hopefully somebody recognises it = More history, ill see if powerplay are able to have a look at it, If not will have to go to my local mechanic which i know hes trustworthy and won't screw me around. Thnaks

Oh sorry forgot to add that history, He has owned it for a year (since last november) and he is selling to to get a ute for his work and to cart around his dirtbike which i find believable even though i didn't see a dirtbike but he mentioned he rides with a person ive seen and rode with so i think hes not telling any lies there. To be honest i trust the guy who is selling it, hes nice and since hes bought it has seemed to keep up on the service history even though the next service is 2000 km overdue which hes mentioned, my main concern in the person before him but hey you can never tell.

Thanks guys, I asked for any papers or any service history and he only has his service history dating back to 100xxx, And i am judging the car on the general condition thats why with so much wear on the steering wheel and the gear shifter cover its making me suspicious, with the odo reading it wasn't to bad but with the other signs it got me thinking, So im still keen to find out who owned this skyline before the current owner as he didn't put the skyline australia sticker on it was already on when he bought it.

Hey all, Im new here but been reading alot of threads, Sorry if this isn't the right place to post but thought it was appropriate. Well im in the market to buy a skyline, yes its a n/a don't judge me im going onto my p's, Had a look at this one on the weekend and seeing on the drivers side rear window it has skylinesaustralia sticker and wanted to see if the member who owned this is still around? Just wanted to see the kms he sold it and any major problems it did have, as it reads 114xxx they do look a tad off center and quite a bit of wear of the steering wheel and stick.
