  1. Welded up the sump but it distorted to much so I made up another one without the extra extension at the back. Made a new pick up, still need to make a bracket back to the girdle and modified the windage tray. Had the ETS-pro from Full Race turn up, finding this unit was the trigger for starting the whole project.
  2. What brand balancer, ATI, Ross?
  3. These are +18 but this has all the skyline running gear under it, with the torana you would be looking at a 0 to negative off set.
  4. Will be running flares, using 18x9.5 all around.
  5. Bit of an update, brought some wheels, crossfire D-spec 18x9.5 also brought some hardrace rear arms. Started extending the sump and filling in the bottom of it to hopefully help oil return. Little bit of stick out.
  6. Got the bonnet hinges made but still need some work. Will probably use a combination on small gas struts on the hinges and a bonnet stay to keep it up.
  7. Hi guys, I stopped counting the hours months ago.
  8. Small update, welded up the intake pipe and return from the synapse diverter valve to the intake. Don't think I will use the air box I made. Also trying to work out a bonnet hinge, going to make some in the style or R33 boot hinges. These are just some pieces of flat bar to work out the lengths of the links and where the pivot points will be. Should be able to make the bonnet swing up 90 deg.
  9. I used the R33 sub frame, I think the R34 sub frame is the same.
  10. Made up a second catch can/windscreen washer bottle and also a power steering reservoir. I plan on running two catch cans, one on the drivers side retuning to the PVC and to the sump and the second on the passengers side returning to the inlet of the turbo and the sump as well. I'll be able to hide the boost control valve and windscreen washer pump in the cavity under the tank.
  11. Added braces to the front, under the guards to help support the top of the suspension towers. Also made braces to go from the front subfame to the torana subframe mounting points.
  12. Got the exhaust made, 3" stainless.
  13. All loaded up for show us ya wheels in Numurkah tomorrow. Had some goodies turn up.
  14. Another job done, used the rear r33 tailshart and shortened it 45mm shorter than the r32 tailshaft and cleaned and regreased the cv joints. Found the r32 cv has a rubber seal at the back and the r33 doesn't R33 cv
  15. Made up a dodgy clutch line to check if the under the dash master cylinder setup I made works, after bleeding it the pedal feels alot lighter then the skyline pedal. Gave it a quick coat of etch primer to tidy it up. Not much more will be done to this one as I need to finish painting my other torana sedan.
  16. Got a bit more done, fitted the motor and gearbox, tacked up the gearbox cross member using the skyline one. Fitted 10mm spacers between the front subframe and the adapter plates to drop the motor down a bit for more bonnet clearance and fitted the radiator and intercooler.
  17. Had to cut out behind the front wheels for a bit more clearance. Also fitted the wheels and put it on the ground. Will fit the motor and gearbox next.
  18. Don't have any other toranas for sale only a rusty one for spares.
  19. Had a bit of a side project for a mate, before he fitted his new motor he wanted paint the engine bay and asked me to fix some rust and fill all the holes in the engine bay. Now back to mine, fitted the fuel tank, changed the r33 hand brake cables to the r32 ones and fitted the rest of the hand brake. Also fitted the ATTESA pump and started working out which line I would be able to reuse. I might bolt everything together and take it to Show us ya wheels at Numurkah in December.
  20. I'm building this one to be a street car, my other torana goes faster enough in a straight line I want this one to stop and turn.
  21. Luke i'll use the gts4 seat if I can't find some recaro's or bride seats. It was interesting that the engineer said if I brought seat rails or built them either way he would have to inspect them.
  22. Had the engineer look at it today, he was happy with what I have done so I finished welding in the seat mounts and the cross brace under the back seat. Also sat the steering column, seat and centre console in to see how they looked.
  23. The hole was so I could reach through and hammer and dolly the welds.
  24. All the tunnel is now welded in, also re-shaped the cross brace under the back seat that I cut out to fit over the new tunnel, this will be welded in after the engineer does his next inspection. Also started the drivers side seat mounts.
  25. Dean, I've had a couple of people contact me about doing the conversion for them but i'm to busy doing my own projects. Bit more chopping. Before fitting the rear section I made a 100mm dimple and then cut a 90mm hole in the centre. Setting in place. This is the reason for the hole.
