possibly, i changed afm last year coz the old one took a holiday, coil packs could be a maybe. Actually thanks for that, ill suss out these things and let you know what comes out of it. cheers!

well its a 33 gtst. the other thing i figured out with this issue when the car on a warm day will run better than when in the cold weather......... shouldnt it be the other way around ( boost hits max in warm day) Will cough and struggle in cold day/nights. )

hi guys, Recently after fixing the gearbox problem and throwing in a dump pipe, ive noticed that when the car is given a big push throttle to the floor n stuff. it feels like its holding back. What is going on ? anyone please other than that she does good.

all running smooth and fine. dump pipe was put in so thats a bonus also. u can really tell the difference between healthy autos and unhealthy , this gearbox changes gears where it should. The other one would wait for me the lever the accelerator and if i didnt, it would slip and take its time. Thanks for all the support fellas!

yeah nah well the secondhand unit comes with a warranty under the warranty anythin happens to it. it gets fixed or replaced free .

update. : so its at my mechanic for a replacement . The auto took a holiday and never came back. Third and fourth Decided. Stuff you im going. LOL oh well

Ok basically up to third is ok , once in fourth as soon as I push the accelerator down it kicks back but it feels like it's slipping if I let go of the accelerator slight it drops the revs , I have been driving in overdrive as that's the only way it's drivable ATM .

Thats happened to me before lol. Its a big whoosh of air and then A massive pop And u literaly poo in your pants as you think you've blown something expensive.

Hey guys, i havent been on here in ages! been busy and what not, so here it goes. cars been extremely good behaved for the last year or so. Servicing it on time, everything . Untill last night. Was driving fine, until it felt like the auto was being a C**t first and second arent too bad. Thirds ok, 4th is not holding. i dont know how to explain it. is this telling me the Auto is Rooted and its time for a manual conversion? or am i going bananas and need to fully flush the auto . I did service it not long ago Any help would be great. Btw : In overdrive it drives somewhat ok. im kind of nervous and worried. A very unsettled willzgtst. Cars not running any mods. apart from pod filter.

this happened to me also, i replaced my air flow meter, it took about 20 mins to really change anything as the car was still running wierd, after it warmed up and started rolling on the freeway , suburban roads and stuff, i realised i had no power cuts or engine stalls, so it was my afm, Most of the idle and stalls point to AFM, i found one cheap, and genuine , look around! BTW just fyi, aftermarket ones are CRAP, mate had one on his r33 and it didnt last very long and caused him issues, couldnt start the car and kept dieing on him all the time.

my mates r33 4 door needs a new rebar from accident, when he went to take it off, it comes off easy one side no problem, but the bolts on the other side will not unscrew, they seem rounded or something, Can anyone suggest anything to remove the two bolts holding the one side of the rebar? and if i asked something silly, im sorry just asking! ANY help will be appreciated. Cheers will

yeah, dodgy remakes, that dont send out right power and stuff, skylineowners forum had a forum up there about it.

In the end it was a FAKE AFM! damn them fake afm's . Got a genuine plugged it in gave it a service, reset the ECU and bam! problem gone! really happy with how she's driving now, goes really well improved!!!!

damnit lol, im not very good with Wiring and electonics. Your right on one thing, For 5 days straight i had no problems, i could boost high and low, idle properly no stalls untill last night, i took her out for a drive, and as i came to the lights, she died, so i fired her up, starts fine, idles ok Take off driving it bogs out a bit if i blip the accelerator it comes back after a second. I DONT GET IT ANYMORE! somebody come fix this crap lol. i mean the last 4-5 days weather was pretty much the same, so then we get hot day/cold night So i pull over switch the car off, pop bonnet, unplug airflow meter Replug as firm as i can, start drives fine for X amount of time? So is this the plug wiring? its killing me......

it came back today, but i think ive pinpointed the damn plug causing me issue, Either the AFM is blown or the afm cable plug is rooted, it starts becoming wierd, i accelerate it hesitates, i pull over turn the car off unplug - replug firmly, then its fine. is the air flow meter in need of soldering ? or is my Air flow meter plug dead.
