for a couple of months i have been complaining to you guys about my car randomly stalling, and i was fed up and about to sell it. but i came around and tried one more time... i never thought this would be possible as you lose all hope after trying many times and mechanics being dodgy, anyway heres what i did. i unplugged every single sensor connection, AFM IAC TPS and more, took intercooler piping off, took boost controller off, disconnected Boost solenoid, let it sit there for a while, more than half n hour, i cleaned the AFM with contact cleaner again for the third time and let it sit in the sun. I then by accident dropped the AFM and i thought great i screwed things up now didnt i ? Anyway, put it all back together, secured all the connections, fired her up, and drove for 30 minutes, its been about one week almost and i havent had Hunting, hesitation, idle stall , power back off, heavy power steering at round abouts, i guess the connections where loose, ill give it one more week of driving and see how it goes. ill post another comment and let you guys know. As for the blokes who offered thier Advice thanks heaps!!!!!

boost is nun spec. ( stock ) LOL plugs are ok and coil pack is fine. i got it booked in next week for a diag, and then a service also. so if i dont figure it out by then ill have another look at the coil packs for any wear. but other than that i could probably say my AFM is a non nissan and its buggered... thanks defari.

ok, so i have fixed the issue of the car stumbling and stalling after 20 minutes by adjusting the TPS, and replugging it in firmly has seemed to vanish the problem. Now i have some other retarded problem. when im driving, it doesent cut out its more when u plant the foot down and gear change i cop a power cut every now and then. is this the AFM being a Cvnt ? or is this spark plug related ? its not anywhere near as bad as it used to be, i would love to be able to Eliminate the problem btw its an auto.

yeah it was random , butttt, it still had one stall, but thats about it so far. its due for a service now. so Thanks for every1's help .

bump ! lol anyway i also checked out my TPS . it wasnt even on properly and it was on a angle, so i screwed it back on , took the plug off and plugged it back in and I havent had any issues since.

sorry for double posting, is there anything i can do to take it off and put it back in, maybe its loose somewhere or something ? ( i know i sound stupid right now) just measures before making the purchase

if it is then i can do it, i just havent had the blessing of having to do one yet... i looked on the web, seems to say screw bolt and plug in and away you go ?

damnit! man they cost a s&&t heap. anywhere i can look? i went the wreckers but the r33's there havent got them on there. This sucks. and a oem costs 400 + :S Anyone wanna help me find one and help me slap it on lol a slab of beer is rewarded !

nah no smoke, mainly when the cars warm, have already changed air flow meter as it was buggered, i havent checked coil packs but someone told me similar symptoms from the cas ? is this true ,

hey guys im sure there has been a few posts about this and ive searched but not sure where to start, lets just say.... Car starts fine, idles good, drives good for about 20 minutes, if driving after 20 minutes a intermittent problem of the car backing off happens, and acceleration isnt horrible but it hesitates and holds back , sometimes it stalls, When i try to turn key it struggles first time, then with my foot on accelerator, it revs to life, and drives ok. Any help as to what this could be would be greatly GREATLY appreciated And i would be forever thankful. So im basically making a decision on rims, and i need you guys for some advice, What kind of rims should i put on my r33 ? its gunmetal grey , $$ isnt a factor but being wise with $ would be good. Thanks in advance

thanks for the help bro, i found the problem at ease, was intake pipe , came lose and caused it to stutter and spit. put it all back together now she runs better and normal. Feel so much better now.

i know , ive searched up and down i just cant find the issue, My MAF died in the butt so i got a nother one, but ive plugged it in and my r33 will not hold idle its jumpy, and then eventually it stalls, What compensates this reason for stalling, is it a simple Reset of the ECU? or what other issue will i be finding. Any help would be Massively appreciated , i am pulling my hair out Btw, when i tap the accelerator, it holds revs at about 1400 rpm then drops drops drops to jumpy jumps and then stalls, This is on cold Start. any help would be helpful! Willz

it was the filter was all clogged with crap, Now my battery went flat so im charging it waiting . See how i go Thanks man!

i dont think the pumps stuffed coz it still whirrs up, so im guessing its the filter .. Thanks for the heads up.

hey guys, im new to the skyline forum and im glad i found it ( mate told me about it) im havin a rippa of a day off trying to pull my hair out and figure whats wrong with my r33. A couple of nights ago i filled up fuel, Drove fine, to work and back , did its job, one night on the way home i was headin for the fuel station as the car chewed the crap out of the fuel ( first time its done it) and it was sort of limping then it was ok, so at one stage it died and i pulled over only to find it was ok, i got home, turned it off and went to BP to grab a jerry can and some Premium . did that after being chased by damn dogs at 1 am in the morning. ( have the image of some dude holdin the jerry can above his head runnin away from a big dog ) Now it wont Catch, I mean in that respect, i put the key in the barrel, turn and the engine just attempts anything to start, but nothing. Wont even ( Nearly start as ive see people type) Anyways i was hoping one of you fine people here could help me as its my only way to work and back and i love the dear little r33, first turbo car and its been good till now, Any help is greeatly Appreciated and thankyou!
