  1. S2 r33 instockish form ie stock turbo, exhaust, cooler, good condition motor/coils and and piggy back make around 20kw more than s1. Mine makes 205rwkw on 9.5psi. What fuel you using, any additives?, what sparkplug heat rating, any oil in intake piping, did they cal the tps setting properly for the safc, could be afm. Sucks but it will get there!
  2. Bolt a fire extinguisher in your car. If they get out you get out and give them a face full of asphyxiation. Get in your car and drive off
  3. I get 11-12l/100ks around town and under 10 for all hwy k's.
  4. i do a few ks per weeks so i like to run it near dry. However when i bought it i ran it to near empty then d/c fuel hose prior to filter and pumped out the last few litres into a bucket. I then bought fresh fuel 5 litres or so and did it again. I also replaced the fuel filter and would have replaced the tank filter but i was due for a upgrade so did it at the same time. If you replace fuel filter every 30-40 thou or when you get a bad batch of fuel, you will be fine.
  5. Ah cool i didnt think it had gold bbs wheels before i thought it had other gold ones must have been another white r33 lol
  6. get daniel to take you for a run in his r33 s1 should give you an idea
  7. Your'e best off with a high-flow or equivalent its all about "useable power" No point having 300rwkw if you cant use it or just budhet for speeding fines. Eg my car is first and foremost a daily, i wont drift it but ill happily grip race it. So i will never go beyond getting a hi-flow as i want useable power on the street and great response. I will get suitable supporting mods and be wanting it to be reliable and fuel efficient off boost and i will want my tune to reflect this. I will base my suspension around a grip/daily setup i run 6/4kg springs not 10/8kg ill run descent streets tires not semi-slicks as i want to feel confident driving in all conditions. I will also mildly upgrade my brakes to support my extra power, some descent rotors and pads, all lines in good condition.
  8. Width does not equal grip if anything your spreading the corner weights over a wider area so less downward pressure per square inch (or whatever measurement you want to use)If you can't afford much buy an all season tires they wont be as good in the dry but you wouldnt get enough heat into them to notice even on spirited drives unless you hit the track (like ive found) I have had 255s on the rear that i could spin up in third on the highway with a completely stock skyline and my current 235s with 205rwkw i can hold traction with a WOT 2nd gear pull (all wet conditions) 255s were uhp tires 235s all season
  9. Ask yourself; what do want out of this car? will you ever track it? do you want response or just a huge pull from 4k. Do a speed off the streets day see how hard you actually want/can push your car. Buy better tires i too use to be nervous driving in the wet too. I got better tires and gradually pushed my car in the wet till i was comfortable. Doing a skid pan day can aid this too.
  10. Depends on turbo
  11. Haha beat me to it trozzle :-)
  12. main other things Injectors, afm, clutch, also cooling coilpacks if yours are tired, dont know if stock bov limits. Should also match your suspension and braking too, plus learn to drive with that much power.
  13. Haha lol :-) id be like, wtf is going on back there...
  14. Pop=normal for aftermarket exhaustBang= awesome!, but exhaust leak, too rich can be timing too Excess backlash is completely different and you will feel the play, there can be a knock no bang lol wtf! Go on a street that is 60kph in fourth constant accelerator, light stab with throttle a little play/small knock is normal. Massive play and big knock is not good.
  15. kudos motorsports (online) the ntk/ngk ones are about $75ish also the ecu coolant temp sensor.Fuel light comes on when betwwen 10-7ltrs of fuel left. I have filled up 58litres before when the fuel light came on.
  16. Yeah but you push your car as hard as you want/feel your card capable of. $400 later nismo engine and g/box mounts on their way
  17. Yeah i either did a engine or gearbox mount as my shifter now sits off to the left
  18. Spotted a white r33 s2 that used to have different wheels but now has gold bbs lm's on ashley drive around 4 30...... Only a trained eye would be able to tell the difference between our cars that and he has l.e.d strips on his front bumper.
  19. Cheers guys, i removed my tune and plummed the wastergate directly to the intercooler bung so it wouldn get hot so quickly, so not too bad time for a dead stock r33. I thought my brakes would be the first to fail but compared to my tires and cooling they were awesome.
  20. Such a sweet day. Did a 1:16.4 which isnt bad considering my tires are complete shit after a few laps and had cooling issues
  21. Yeah even though i had it weighed at a government approved weigh station. I still have to take it to dickson for a full inspection to get it changed. Im not going through the bull crap again. It is too much time and effort and i work and live south side. Oh well atleast i know how much my skyline weighs now.
  22. Well it turns out i have to get a full inspection at dickson at the same time so i guess im paying more money money for rego.
