  1. Hey guys just put in my bc br coilovers in my r33 and initially they were very bouncy. Springs are 6kg/mm F and 4kg/mm rear. The dampening settings were 8clicks off full hard front and rear. Ive backed it off a bit 16F and 24R and it feels better. Also they seemed to be running a heap of preload like 8mm. I made the springs just captive and that improved it still but ride is still bouncy. Anyone know the recommended preload and or dampening seting i should be using for custom spring rates. Finally got my wheels so suspension in too. wheels: VS XXs 18 x 9 +20 all round r-disk front o-disk rear Bc coilovers 6kg front 4kg rear Hard race rear camber arms Hard race front caster arms Front camber bushes All guards rolled. Clear side winkers fitted Better condition drivers headlight fitted EBH 340F 335R Dampening 16F 8R (From softest setting) Getting it aligned today
  8. Hey guys after 5 long months my VS XXs have finally ar Arived so now is the time for tires. Does anyone recommend a place who will treat my wheels like they are worth 3k and not like vommodore steelies. Havent decided whether to get tyres off the net or get them from whovever locally. But any recommendationds for well priced tyres and especially fiting would be great! cheers
  9. Hey guys was replacing snapped exhaust studs and the marker on my drill bit slipped and i over drilled by 2-3mm. Was wondering if this is something to worry about or what the wall thickness is. Cheers Patrick
  10. Could be but its quite a noticable difference between being thrown back or not. Hesistates may be a poor choice of words. Cruising above 3k rpm if i then go straight to WOT it will still pull, but incomparison to cruising at the same rpm then rolling onto the throttle to reach WOT, it doesnt pull as hard. Id expecting rolling onto throttle to reach WOT as opposed to instant WOT to respond better initially but it seems going from cruising to instant WOT makes it pull less all the way to redline not just initially "hesitate" to pull as hard.

Hey guys, this is a question out of curiosity not whinging....anyway.. had my car tuned recently and seeing how it responds to holding a constant throttle of 3000rpm+ where my stock turbo has the potential to be @ full boost and then rolling onto throttle vs instant WOT. I found rolling onto throttle pulled much harder intially compared to WOT which i was expecting. However i expected using instant WOT to then after hesitating, start pulling just as hard as rolling onto boost but it seemed to pull the same all the way to redline. So im curious whether thats just the case for turbo cars or its due to my "inferieor, peice of shit, why dont you get a real ecu, SAFC II tune" Cheers Pic for all the safc haters

  14. Yeah true really want the ride height adjustability i know you can get that with bilsteins too. Just trying to see if anyone else has opted for lower rates on these coilover or equivalent and how they went.
  15. Hey guys im looking at these three coilovers, for my daily r33 but are wanting spring rates as close to 6/4. Ive been contacting a few suppliers but i cant seem to get an answer regarding how much i can vary the spring rate while still keeping the dampeners effective. Bc is 8/6 HSD HR 8/7 HSD AD 7/5 cheers
