  1. So drove to work today when i arrived clutch went to the floor thought maybe the throw out fork coming off knucle. I was half right it completely snapped off wtf! its what the throw out fork pivots on, screw into outside of gear box inside the bellhousing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Well i had a mate who had some spare redline so it was cheap. Changed it yesterday it only had 2.9l in it and i could fit 3.7l before it came back out the filler hole. 4th gear changes are fine now as is second but third can be a bit notchy when cold. Will do for now til the inevitable rebuild.
  3. haha was pretty good traffic this morning
  4. If i drive normally up gears and double clutch 5th down to forth going over 60 its fine. And i agree should be better for its k's. He still had the original belts, car is immaculate stock as a rock but tight and quick even came with owners manual. But anyway will rebuild, eventually.
  5. Yeah i had a feeling this was the case. i ordered some today and will be saving for a rebuild. Cheers
  6. its a GL-5 says its a low friction type. I know redline is only a bandaid fix but cant afford a rebuild for 6months.
  7. Hey guys gearbox fluid was changed 5000ks ago before i bought it with motul ff type 2 gearbox oil and when its cold its shifts into second smoothly but when it warms up it will crunch. 4th gear synchro worn to and will crunch if down shifting above 60 or upshifting too quickly. Cars only done 108k. Im thinking of changing to lightweight shockproof even though this motul oil is more expensive. Anyone had any experience with this crunching when warm ir motul ff type two. Cheers Patrick

  15. awesome fitment im looking at 9.5 +15 all round on 235/40/r18. So 2mm further in on the front and 8mm further in on rear. How much camber are you running and what work did you do to the guards.Cheers
  16. Just for ideas i had a 31 prior to my 33. for wheels run 8" wide all round with a zero approx offset. Suspension ran new kyb shocks with 2nd hand kings/lovelles etc springs. Whitline swaybars, s13 control arms with hr31 tie rods. This is a good cheap option. get parts from r31 club and ebay. Wheels ae86dc or nissan silvia forum etc even ebay or otomoto or vr motoring or go through jesse streeter etc
  17. hey champ definately try the belt first, hopefully its not the alternator. Definately get the multimeter its your best friend for electrics. When you get the belt check the plug as well makes sure its clean fire her up and throw the multimeter on it should be reading between 13.5-14.8v approx. If its lower then your alternator is stuffed or you have open/resistance in your connections.PS if cleaning engine bay avoid getting degreaser on the alternator, good luck
  18. well i grow facial hair like no tomorrow so definately animal, haha it was good. Even though i drove the celica trying to keep up with others going for a spirited drive was pushing the celica to its limit.
