Where to get Skyline Serviced
Pattey21 replied to r33skylinegtst's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Audio tech tuggeranong have been known not to solder and terminator correctly i would go to BDL fyshwick. I am an electronics tech and worked with a few blokes who worked at BDL prior and still recommend going there. -
I like to accrue my spotting, so as follows; -Every day i see a black r33 s2 parked on gladstone st fyshwick with a weird arse cannon that looks like 80% of ther tip had been cut off -White R34, stock, high clean on drakeford passing from maswon to woden see it a few arvos a week -saw that yellow r34 with the datsun badge at calwell shops when i was rocking up. just fitted the RF FMIC and usually my bumper clears the kerb but the bottom if the hose clamp just scraped and he gave me a weird look. -Saw a grey R32 GTR at Bruce CIT campus two tuesdays ago, we passed each other i gave him the "cool r32 GTR dude stare" and he gave me the "Nice boat non GTR person" -Saw a sweet White R31 with wide steelies must have been 16 x 8 -10 or 16 x 9 +0 looked banging

whats your budget? there are some genuine apexi n1 cannons on ebay for like $150

Known as a "race" to the speed limit. That behaviour is not condoned as us "skyline" drivers attract enough attention and don't need to give police any more reason for "random inspections" or piss off the general public as they are easily identifiable car. Try to think about who is around you when you drive in such a manner and don't post it on here. It is a public forum after all.

No you just tried to give him a run. Stop telling us how you are driving like a dickhead.

Sau A.c.t. - What Did You Do To Your Car Today?
Pattey21 replied to Got a Pulsar's topic in Australian Capital Territory
All these advertisments that focus on speeding alone is misleading. How about more on negligence not just being on phones or tired. How about "generally not paying attention" or going through corners in the wet as fast as your would in the dry and your tyres are terrible. I drive to the conditions around me; roads, traffic, weather etc. I also adapt to my conditions and possible distractions, tired, car full of people etc. -

That defensive driving course should be a mandatory part before getting your p's. Speeding does't kill it just increases the risk, negligence and not driving to the conditions are much bigger factors. Our cars handle and brake so much better than when the speed limits were enforced. However since there are still cars on the road that are from that era it still should apply or a slow lane. -

Agreed, no one should do it because it does give us a bad name. However it is worse a L-plater doing it as they are still learning to drive and have very lttle experience. -

Pattey21 replied to ..::R33GTS-T::..'s topic in Australian Capital Territory
Sortout your suspension and alignment first. I your struggling to put down 150-170kw no point getting 250kw. i have 210rwkw atm and I can drive flatout without spining the wheels on average tires. I recommend front castor arms rear camber arms and a good alignment i run my alignment close to SKs specs but with slighlty more camber. -

fitting my cooling master radiator. 40mm triple core.seems to do the job, bolted in fine, did have a leak from the sensor on the radiator but doing it up nice and tight fixed that. -
yeah i would be skeptical of shops that get all good or all bad reviews. when i bought my car it was serviced by trojan last. they underfilled the gearbox and a few of the sparkplugs were not seated properly both work they did. however they were the only place who had a clutch fork pinion and it was reasonably priced. rbs are not overly complicated engines and any workshop should be able to do any servicing. however skyline specialist shops do have an advantage for diagnosing problems or tuning.

cheers for the info guys.

yeah i am and still want to want to run plumb back i hate atmo's. so i thought gtr one would be a good bolt on upgrade. i heard they sound more agressive but that may be the GTR placebo effect
