  1. Ye olde Yamaha FJ1200... haven't ridden for a few years so have been doing loads of low-speed maneuvering to get myself used to a bike again (my last bike was also an FJ)
  2. Wheeeeee, I bought a bike too!!
  3. Saw a really nice silvery stagea on the corner of Linacre Cresc & Hall Rd in Gladstone Park yesterday with SAU stickers on it. Looked rather nice
  4. Hi, I am selling my EP121 tablet as I rarely use it. Specs: 4Gb DDR3, i5 Quad core 470UM, 64Gb SSD, WiFi (b, g, n), Bluetooth 3.0, camera, comes with a bluetooth keyboard as standard. Win 7 Home Premium, 64-bit. Will throw in a brand new Samsung external USB powered DVD writer, and if you're local you can have a bag too. You can pick up in Richmond during the day (at my work) or I can mail it if you want. I can always deliver if you're local to Tullamarine. (Wife doesn't like ppl coming to the house to get stuff lol) SMS 0410 283 935 : please don't call! Looking for as close to $800 as I can get. Will wipe device before delivery/pick-up. Also have the recovery discs. Here's the blurb from HarveyNorman: http://www.harveynorman.com.au/asus-eee-pad-tablet.html Cheers, Dave
  5. Talking about plates, I just scored VO1P for $200, never been on a vehicle so cost me nothing to transfer... the seller even delivered them to me the next day. Well happy!
  6. Took it to The Dent Shed as they're just up the road from me in Airport West. (1800 042 450) Much nicer people than the place CommInsure made us take her car.
  7. We noticed some hail dints on my partners car last weekend, we took it in & it'sgot 350+ dents on it. I took mine in today & I have 60 on the roof, 3 on the bonnet & the same on the boot & some on the quarters. They quoted $1667.50 to do it, but my excess is a grand. Shannon's said they're not penalising drivers for claiming. Now I have to pull a grand out of my arse to fix something you can barely see. Meh.

    Gor Wrap Up

That was my first trip down the GOR, we had a blast, although I had a bit of a job playing catch-up LOL Drove down to the 12 Apostles this morning, then came home via Colac. Cheers Dave
  9. I was underneath with my head jammed in the pedals lol Looking at it from that position ie on my back looking at the firewall I had to turn it clockwise, turning it towards the drivers door. Seems all good now, I have to go on a trip at lunchtime to Mernda to drop off a laptop so I'll see how she goes. Cheers, Dave
  10. I adjusted the rod (had to go clockwise, anti-clockwise made it worse lol) and it seems much better now.
  11. Thanks for that... slave was replaced when the clutch died and have also used my vacuum pump to pull new fluid through. You can pump the pedal but that makes no difference so I am pretty sure there is no air in there. Gonna go try it once the rain lets up.
  12. My clutch bites right at the bottom... I know I can adjust the pushrod that goes from the pedal to the master cylinder but I don't know which way to turn it to adjust it so that it bites in the middle. Rather than using trial & error, I though I'd ask on here first Cheers, Dave
  13. Might have changed now, but Pickles used to make you take it home on a trailer, even if you have an UVP.
  14. I lived in the States for 10 years- they have a yearly inspection in the state I lived in. Mind you, all I had to do was take it to the local garage, he would ask me the mileage on the odometer, then just give me the sticker. $8.00 too. I had a Chevy S10 Blazer with a 3" open exhaust, no cat, no mufflers, nothing. It would shake the ground lol but the cops didn't care. In the UK you have to have a yearly inspection, and it's pretty tough (but not as tough as Germany's). Also, if your car is modified in any way from stock, it's a bastard to get insurance in the UK. I had to get motor traders insurance so I could cover my vehicles. Cheers, Dave
  15. Just wanted to say thanks for the pics Good job, well pleased with how mine turned out. Cheers Dave
  16. If your eTag doesn't beep, they charge you a 75c lookup fee.
  17. Yeah, sure seems to be... my clutch was stuffed too, and the fork was bent.
  18. Spotted in Victoria Gardens Shopping Centre... looked nice as, so I parked next to it & took a shaky picture lol (Mine's the white one) Cheers Dave
  19. I had an EPA for noisy exhuast on a VN (had a note through the mail saying the jacks had reported it), I took it to the local RACV place & he failed it so I made some restrictors & went back. He told me he suspected that restrictors had been installed and threatened to report it to the EPA. I took it somewhere else & they passed it no probs. All they do is stick a microphone behind the exhause (they have measuring sticks to make sure it's in the right place), give it a couple of revs and that's it. As said before, they don't care about anything else on the vehicle, just the noise level, think it's like 90dBA As for roadies i's getting really hard to get one now because they have to take pictures. Used to get them all day long up lol When I bought my R33 they stung me for tint on the door too dark, new windscreen as the one on it was "sandblasted" & front brake discs. Taking the tint off was fun (not).
  20. Hi everyone, Just found the forums & thought I'd join I have an R33 that's currently on the side of the road cos the clutch fork fell out of position. It's off to get fixed tomorrow, am assuming the pivot ball snapped. Not the best way to start a first post lol Cheers, Dave
