  1. As per the thread title.... I have a genuine caliper rebuild kit and need the rear calipers rebuilt on my S15 Any reputable brake specialists you guys would recommend to do this??? Thanks
  2. I was ranked 19 out of 11,000 or so players on the EGL domination server. All the EGL clan phegs were getting pumped and then they reset the server ranks (I assume the EGL clan members weren't affected) Lost interest after that.
  3. Is the Ringwood practice day for the new track????
  4. I got bored after seeing that they'd be doing up/driving around in a shitbox for most of the episode.
  5. Buy a Silvia.... You will learn a lot about driving it being a RWD car. They are fairly zippy for a p plater car, cheap to run and are easy to modify. Then you will be well prepared to make your transition to a GTR, or if you prefer, a turbo Silvia.
  6. Remember to reset all your bushes when you raise/lower the car. Lowering/raising will change the angle of your arms/rods, which can put stress on the bushes and result in premature wear (if you don't have the bushes released while youre setting height).
  7. The package has arrived. The quality and workmanship of ARC is completely unreal. All of this has been officially discontinued.
  8. =( An incredibly nice example of an R34 GTR. Even I feel sad that you've sold it lol.
  9. For a major detail, I use dishwashing liquid for the first 'major' wash - before I commence the clay bar phase. Dishwashing liquid does wonders to 'strip' existing wax and grime. I use AMMO foam (Ph neutral/balanced soap) for lube when I clay the car. For a normal wash AMMO is fairly soft and won't really strip your protective layers, but I use 350gsm microfiber towels for the wash for picking up/removing grime etc (however, I will fold over the towel multiple times so I don't drag grit across the paint).
  10. Get a lightweight VTEC EG/EK Civic hatch... strip out the interior, and add some nice suspension and an exhaust perhaps? Plenty of fun would be had and you will learn a lot about driving.
  11. 24 guests are reading this topic... Intradesting. LOL.
  12. I contacted Streeter on Feb.4th asking for a price on an intercooler from a very well-known company. Hint - their intercoolers have been used on Super GT race cars. I went to the website and found out (thanks to a Japanese friend who translated for me) that this intercooler is now discontinued and once remaining stock is sold it's game over. Talk about timing. It took a few days for the company to reply to Streeter and at this point I was a bit nervous as I had no idea if any were actually left. Got a reply around 10pm on Feb.7th advising me of the outcome…..will it be a happy ending or have I now gone down a different path? Stay tuned.
  13. I haven’t updated this thread in a fair while, but construction is still in progress. Having a great time with the car - still using it as my daily driver and will take the car on a spirited cruise every now and then. Most of the cruises are fairly low-key and with just a few good friends. Wisemans Ferry Rolling shot…. Now back to the build progress - In September, I received a set of Nismo braided brake hoses and my replacement Tomei N2 Oil Pan arrived. Tomei chucked in a free T-shirt. Nismo braided brake hoses installed and now running Project Mu G-Four 355 Dot 5.1 Brake Fluid Tomei N2 Oil Pan replacement In December, developed an exhaust leak because studs/nuts and bolts had rattled themselves loose. It sounded like I was driving an NA. Thus, I took the front/dump pipe off (which only had one bolt left and was sitting on two studs lol). I had some stainless thread cut to length to use as studs, fitted a genuine Nissan turbo gasket… and fitted everything back up. Car is running great again =D.
  14. Prepare to spend +$30k for one in immac condish with reasonable km's.
  15. It only has 280nm of torque. Which is bugger all considering its pumping out 400hp.
  16. Cross flow is the one which deletes factory pipework and u cut hole in battery tray. This the one u were thinking ? The other type is turn flow - end tanks are return so u can keep factory intake pipework
  17. Dimensions are 300x600x70 with m073 core. This is for s15 How much power would this efficiently support? 350rwkw? Would there be any advantage ordering custom arc and using say an m079 core?
  18. Whilst in Sydney, have had a few middle-aged/older blokes compliment me about my car and proceed to have a bit of a yarn about it. Never get 'random' younger people doing the same thing, but they will stare - must be a generational thing. At a recent car meet I went to, I had someone ask me if I could pop the bonnet.. nek minnit there were around 15-20 people standing around my engine bay with several complimenting me about how clean and factory spec it was (chassis/mechanicals).
  19. The S15 is a perfectly balanced, lightweight sports car.... You don't need to spend much on them for them to be extremely quick on the touge / track.
  20. A person that will need to spend $70,000 to purchase this will undoubtedly like to see a considerable amount of photo's. There was a grade 4.5 Nismo 400R which sold through Japanese auction for $65,000 landed and complied. Considering a scarce amount were made, this is arguably the most sought after R33 model there is (even more so than an N1). Thus, regarding an asking price of 70k + for this....can it be insured for such an amount like the 400r would be able to, considering it's a base model?
  21. I agree. I always have a hearty chuckle when watching his videos. He has effectively tapped into a market thats for sure. There are many unsuspecting customers out there. I'd really enjoy meeting up with Phil one day and talking p*nel g*ps...for the lelz.
  22. Should be an interesting tech event.
  23. Back in 2010/11 when I owned my S13....there were a fair few people who would want a race. Since taking ownership of my S15 in mid 2012.... there hasn't been much action at all from what I've observed. Even P platers generally do not attempt to race. So yes, a lot less activity out there nowadays. Seems to have changed fairly rapidly. Plus, most young people arent interested in fast cars anymore.... they have other interests. LOL No such thing as wasting petrol when you go for a drive =) Yes lots of action in Bankstown. Yeah, don't know why he's complaing about T04E lel. My mate has a T78 equipped Supra.... he doesnt have any problem with touge runs/spirited driving etc. Triple plate is boss...I like the sound. I have solid aluminium/polyurethane engine & gearbox mounts, and the NVH from those is pretty damn brutal... always a lol as whenever I have a passenger they are like 'wtf'. You never fail to deliver lols Terry =P
