  1. Awesome to hear Brad.... What RPM are you achieving full boost and what is the transient/throttle response like? Is the acceleration fairly savage as is and what is the car like for spirited driving? I hear the EFR's well and truly come to life when high boost is pushed into them.
  2. Want to keep it on 98 octane.... I like the idea of dual external wastegate T4 twin scroll.... which the 7163 doesn't have. The 7064 seems (t4 ts 1.05/ar ext wastegate) seems as though itll have more top end potential whilst retaining savage response...
  3. With the EFR7064....in T4 TS 1.05 A/R configuration Would this be enough for insane response, broad power band and 8000rpm redline on a 2.0L or 2.2L SR20 (with correct cam selection) while pushing over 400rwhp? My goals are to find a turbo which will support my goals of a very fast street car (in all aspects) which will also be brutal on the circuit...
  4. My lines have the DOT NCRN marking on them.... What exactly does the NCRN part refer to? I have read DOT = FMV SS106 which is covered under ADR's for braided lines.. Any confirmation of this?
  5. Hi Are the Nismo brake hoses JIS approved?? Thus meaning they will comply with ADR's.. Thanks
  6. Terry, Do you know whether the 760rwhp MNP III R34 GTR (with HKS 2.8L stroker, HKS Limited Edition V Cam and T51R) will be coming out?
  7. Will your R34 have full tune by then Bobby?
  8. Yes, it is sad people will be losing their jobs. But let's face it, manufacturers who have successful racing pedigree are still going fine in light of the downturn.... Build quality of Holdens isn't anything to write home about.. they cant even get the gaps right... and look inside the door jambs of the new base model VF commodore and you will the major issues with paint. When a manufacturer cant even get these simple things right of course they will be in trouble. I have been in a 440rwhp HSV VE commodore and I wasn't particularly impressed by sitting inside it or its handling dynamics. I just didn't get 'that feeling'.The instant response of the v8 was cool though.. As for the Mercedes comparison, the only Mercedes I have been in is an E63 AMG... and obviously this blows the HSV out of the water in terms of everything.
  9. Cheers man. A mate of mine with a really nice SLR camera snapped the shot.
  10. Here is a picture of my car taken with an SLR camera....should give you guys a good idea of the finish. Washing every 2 weeks and waxing every 4-6 weeks to protect and maintain the finish.
  11. Pic from Sunday. A few months after I did a full restoration detail on the original paintwork. Regularly waxing every 4-6 weeks and washing every 2 weeks.
  12. Meh, no big loss. Fairly lacklustre batch of cars they make. They spat the dummy when they got destroyed by Nissan in Group A race series....and don't even use production cars in v8 supercar series. Race bred technology and expertise in their road vehicles (especially chassis) really is lacking....
  13. JDM only has more power due to a higher tuned ECU and less restrictive cat converter. These can both be changed. No difference in power potential of ball bearing vs bush bearing turbo.
  14. ^ This. An immac condish Nismo R33 GTR 400r recently went through Jap auction (grade 4.5) for ~65k landed and complied - only 100 cars made. The dude is dreaming. I noticed this as well.
  15. I've always felt that the colour white just does not do the R33 justice...as much as colours like midnight purple or black do. 50k is a big ask. I am currently saving up for a late model black R33 GTR vspec.... apparently theyre going for around 30-35k for a immac one from Japan.
  16. A great person and a true car guy. RIP. His favourite car was the Nissan S15 Silvia.....pretty cool considering how many cars he had in his collection... http://www.autoweek.com/article/20131130/CARNEWS/131139996
  17. Won't be able to make this due to work commitments
  18. People have the right to know how many km's a vehicle has truly done. However, too many people put on their rose-coloured glasses when they see a car with low kms and think everything will be great. This isn't the case. E.g. Cars that have sat for long periods of time WILL have problems. There are many perishable items within a vehicle. The best way to buy a car is based on condition, not odometer reading.
  19. Yeah, very lucky haha. Straight and original early model S13's/180s are near impossible to find nowadays. Massive improvement in front-end stability and turn-in if you install a Nismo Power Brace II or Cusco Tension Bar. Also, install front/rear strut braces. Rigidity wise this is ideal for the street. I have HKS Hipermax III Coilovers... with 6kg Front/4kg Rear rates. They are a firm ride when the dampers are set hard. From what I've found, going with a coilover that has higher spring rates would be completely overkill for our roads, unless you like drifting. As for alignment adjustability - I have Ikeya Formula rear camber arms, front tension rods (for castor), and rear toe rods.....they really are excellent quality but there are plenty of cheaper options available. Go with something like that for a basic suspension/rigidity setup and you'll be set. Then down the track you'd have room to install some swaybars.
  20. I own an ADM Spec S, and it is a great car. Do suspension work before you even look at power mods. Do not even bother with JDM. The market is flooded by accident damaged examples of those (thanks to dealerships). And don't expect to find one with genuine KM's. Go for an ADM Spec S, it is lighter than the ADM Spec R (as it doesn't have a sunroof). You'll have much better chances of finding an ADM one that has a straight chassis and original panels.... though these chances will still be slim. Ive scanned the S15 market for a long time.
  21. Got 50kg dumbells each hand for 5 reps - flat DB bench press.
  22. Yeah man. Doing labouring with a builder who does renovation projects like custom decks, carports etc. I'm enjoying it and learning a lot. Not really bothering with applications for bigger firms atm.
  23. I got back on Monday from my vacation to Melbourne. So who is attending dinner at the exchange? I'm keen. Probably will get there around 7 though as I knock off work late sometimes
  24. Awesome, Yes that will be o.k.
  25. I'm in. The Exchange in Beaumont Street is good, they make a realllyyyy good steak.
